Thank you for a wonderful program. I live in Africa but was lucky enough to visit Loch Garten while visiting Scotland and have been fascinated with this magnificent rapter ever since, AH

With all of the difficulties it's a wonder they survive at all. What an amazing species.

The author's script is beautifully poetic.

this was recomended via an osprey webcam forum. What a wonderful film capturing a year of these beautiful birds. The images, music and Robert Powell's narration are brilliant. Thank you.

I live in Northwest Florida and our skies are littered with these amazing bird's along with massive nests on the tree tops. If your ever in the I.C.W. or Bay estuary Wade fishing you don't want one of these Osprey's crashing down on a mullet 10-20 yards behind you cause it sounds like a frickin plane crash and if your not ready for it I hope your not wearing underwear under you Bimini Bay fishing shorts. I've also witnessed one Osprey kill 7 Speckled Trout leaving them floating on the surface then after the 7th fish it then began flying back and forth to the nest to a floating fish within an hour. I actually had to stop fishing cause the Osprey was trying to take my fish while the fish still was hooked 20-25 yards from the stern of my boat.

What are the black bird's, resembling a sage grouse, called? Black Hawk?

The Osprey is one of two birds to feed exclusively on live fish! As a matter of fact, there is another bird along with the Osprey, which feed exclusively on live fish, and that bird is the Lesser Fish Eagle!!

The Eagle Owl, Great Horned Owl and the psychopathic Goshawk are the greatest threats to Osprey families.

I am amazed that the eggs do not cook in the summer heat. They must be able to just barely withstand 100 degrees without losing viability.

Wait a second, FIRST you say it evolved, THEN you say it was designed. Make up your mind already.

The producers begrudgingly paid for the couple tickets to gambia and lodging for a couple of cameramen to get just enough footage to close out the documentary 😂

Despite their size and amazingly strong feet, ospreys are total wimps when it comes to defending themselves and their young against goshawks, ravens, eagles and owls. You can pull up videos of osprey nests being totally wiped out, year after year by goshawks in Finland and the Baltic countries. Here's just one example: th-cam.com/video/TugfA0c1Ep8/w-d-xo.html.
There's even one where the breeding female was killed by a raven.

I could not bring myself to watch that after watching an osprey documentary. It would be too tragic. I do not want to feel depressed!
