Your 9 min segment has filled the questions I hadn't found answers to. I've been watching a pair for 4 seasons now. I named them after mom & dad because they are so dedicated. I've learned other life lessons from observing them as well. They finally had a successful breeding season last year unlike the other seasons - not one but two, which I named after my grandchildren. Their nest doesn't increase in size or depth and there is alot of disturbances in the area, so praying for another successful season of new hatchlings . Thank you for filming. I do not have the equipment you do, so thank you.

I live on the southern coastal plains, border of the Sandhills in North Carolina. We have ospreys on our pond/swamp, I think we have a returning nesting pair each spring. Amazing birds!

For the first time in the 40 years of seeing nature with a wide-angle lens I decided to get a telephoto and start chasing birds, I didn't have to hear about the condition of our environment anymore, it was staring me straight in the face, when you can gain the trust of a shorebird it will change you, and the next time you see a child chasing birds on a beach,, It's Not What It Seems

The Salt Marsh is so important. Mankind must understand it's importance. It's not an "if" option, it's "must" requirement. We cannot continue to destroy these habitats. In the US or worldwide.

Great Island Marsh area where the CT River Meets Long island sound. I happen to live along the Black Hall river where it all converges as well. It's a breathtaking area. While I watched the doc I swear I saw the aerial of my home lol. It's currently late summer of 2023 and there are countless osprey, eagles, herons, and egrets. Soon the great migration of the tree swallows will be happening on a small island not 2 miles north of where this doc is shot.

I loved the show, however there were some discrepancies from what I have seen on different live web cams. I have never seen a male osprey leave for migration until all chicks have left the nest, never. And I feel so sorry for the osprey that have to nest on the ground. That is so, so sad, negating their chances to have offspring.

Just about any ‘fact’ you say about evolution is not set in stone.
