If the switch is old , then replace it. It can start to heat up and melt your wiring harness . If it’s a newer switch , and it’s not heating up, pull the rod, spray with contact cleaner, and put some dielectric grease on the knob and stick it in nice and deep 😜

Wondering if the switch contacts can be cleaned. Or need to replace the whole switch?
I've seen cleaning switches work. So, it is worth a shot!! This is the spray I use: amzn.to/4780oDH
