I don't know how these young guys can be so unbelievably tight and knowledgeable. It's some of the best music on the planet. These guys aren't together anymore, right?
These guys are awesome. Amusing interview at the end, in that we've got three nationalities here: Swedes speaking English, which is then translated into Japanese. Hey, it works.
I love Japanese talk shows!! theyre so kind and appreciative,,genuinely. Bit who wouldn't when these guys hit the stage? Holy cow.. they need to let Jonah warm up a little more before the shows.. damn hes a beast..fans want that "Wow" you put on "hit me" at the end..so get ready .LOL
These comments are cracking me up. It's hilarious what a niche crowd this band attracts - folks that comment on how squashed the mix is and how hot the backing tracks are??? Haha. Maybe it's just me, but I'm too distracted by how effing tremendous these musicians are to make a single negative comment. I've been playing guitar for 20 years, and I'm no slouch... But I can't stop picking my jaw up off the ground. These guys are a spectacle on par with Snarky Puppy.
Michael is out of his “League” (Snarky Puppy), technically speaking, compared to Henrik Linder, Mohini Dey or Anton Davidyants, haha. But making great music is the important thing, and both Snarky Puppy and Dirty Loops are equally great at that! 🤓
I really ove them...but was there any live playing from Jonah at all...the studio is stuff is amazing but is this gonna be what fans can expect from a live performance of them...just sounds like a whole lotta playback...a little disappointed and whats up with all the compression and limiting??Their concept just doesnt seem to be translating that well outside of studio...could be wrong and i hope I am... :-)
sound engineer: on which instruments you want compression?
dirty loops: yes
indeed... musicians are great, but this mix is terrible with an overdose of compression.
Even with too much compression the mix is still better than most live TV recordings!
The Japanese talkshow setting is absolutely hilarious! Great Fun! And "Automatic" really makes me smile every time!
また日本に来てください🇯🇵
Henrik Linder will be the most sought after bass player in Europe for the next 40 years. Maybe the world.
やっぱすげぇな!
This is a remarkable band! You guys belong at the top. I wish you every success!
I dont understand how this video doesnt have more views, i have seen it like a 100 times!

Fantastic !

Love you guys!
My two favorite songs

Holy compression batman!!! But still love the sound, might just cover Automatic... ;)
Yes yes yes
Uhhh… I think the engineer can back off the compression/limiting just a tad.
well, its part of their sound really. I assume he's just recreating the album "atmosphere"
Grant Oehmler yeah but that is really excessive, the kit is killing the whole mix
So much sidechain against the kick but I do actually love the sound.
this is TV show. It has been optimized for television
I know. Still sounds like crap on a computer.

Jacob Collier Couldn't agree more...

That snare...
Nice, thanks! First track is called 'Automatic' though, not 'The Way She Walks'.
MUITO BOM!!!!
Love them. but god, I HATE the compressor. The sound is fucked up!
what a compressed snare !!!! holy molly

CCCCCCOOOOOMMMMPPPPPRRRRRRRREEEEEEESSSSSSSEEEEEEEDDDDDDDDDDD.AUDIO
Henrik he keep it Professional.
Would love to just hear them without tracks backing them
Holy compression Batman!
If we use enough compression, do you think we can get rid of the vocalist altogether?
You're mean
@@wimdenherder Don't understand why it's such a mess. DL are usually meticulous about sound.
haha, I was thinking the same, soo much compression. Of course they sound awesome anyway
@@TheChrisheath7it’s not them. It’s whoever made this video
Hahaha they look so awkward at the end when the hosts only speak Japanese with occasional english
seems like theres not enough mids in the mix; a bit too much bass/compression. I guess for tv its alright...
Er phrasiert ein bißchen wie MJ
Ja…! ☺️👍
Miming much?... 01:39
sabian sbr cymbals? o-O
the poor translator just peeks from the background ... :-D
ボーカル埋もれてるやん
当て振りかぁ
the singing really disappointed me :(
