Much power and grace. The Hurricane was a good gun platform. Thank you very much for posting this!

Blimey, those houses in the background have an airfield in their garden!

A very nice display, they seem to look so much better at a small airstrip, than they do at a huge airstrip. Many thanks for posting this Pete! Chris B.

I love the Hurricane, it just looks the part. It looks like a street fighter next to a middle weight boxer when it's parked next to the Spitfire. And I feel the same way about the P-47 razorback.

Yeah for sure. Some aircraft really look aggresive and formidable - FW 190 comes to mind.

I used to get all kinds of abuse at school for (amongst other things) saying that I preferred the Hurricane to the Spitfire. I didn't care then, and I don't care now. The Spit's certainly beautiful and iconic, but to me the Hurricane's the better fighting machine.
Oh, and I trained in martial arts for 26 years when I left school (mainly dirty jiu-jitsu), so bullying's a thing of the past - and I know a bloody good fighter when I see one. ;-)

Love the Hurricane. I wonder what the story the black/white underside might be? Did the aircraft represented serve in both the day and night fighter roles?

I think it was to make our aircraft unmistakeable to naval gunners, whose deplorable aircraft-recognition skills rendered them inclined to shoot at anything flying. It didn't last...

It was used on both hurris and spits 1938-40 as a way for the AA to identify friendly aircraft.

Not to much over field? Because of the new airshow rules or just a bit windy? Still a great catch & even better stills. Thanks Pete!
