#seagull #hawker #hurricane #saito Swag: www.warbirdpil... @Petrincic Bros RC Dis is it :) The Seagull Hawker Hurricane powered by Saito FG30cc fourstroke Gas engine. Make sure to watch till the end for an oppsi ;) CG at 110mm
Don't remember exactly how much noseweight was needed, but total weight is about 7 kg. Link to retracts can be found in the comments below. Glad you liked the video.
Hi! compliments for the flights! All around the world people find the Seagull Hurricane difficult to land, have you modified it in some way to have it so docile in landing or it's only a matter of CoG? Thanks Federico
Thank you for the compliment 😊, No other mods other than CoG at about the 110mm mark. It makes a big difference. My landing flaps are at about 45 degrees.
WarbirdPiLOT I've the Seagull Hurricane on hand from some years, untouched since really frightened about the landing experiences reported all around the world. If I've we'll understood now the correct set up is a 110mm Cog and shortened legs to avoid nose overs. My doubt is: with these mods is the plane easily flyable or is something that needs a gyro to be flown? Thanks!
@@federicoscapparone4574 It definitely does not need a gyro to fly, I just use them to make the plane fly more precise and also wind does not keep me grounded as much. I would not rank this as easy to fly but manageable, still very pitch sensitive but with proper setup it flies good. It all comes down to your experience I guess and what you feel comfortable with, it's an warbird after all, some challenges is included 😁
Enjoying the video very much. When you are landing are you doing short blips of ignition off and on? Did you use use the fuel tank stopper in the kit? Is it compatible with gas?
When you used the Hobby King retract assembly, did you plug into directly into your receiver or to a controller with separate battery. Were kit struts and wheels used?
@@DougRogers-d4h those were the kind you can connect directly to receiver, original struts were used, but shortened and angled forward a couple degrees
Did you use the kit tank stopper? Is it gas tolerant? Did you use the battery pack supplied for the lights, or did you use receiver power? If receiver, what voltage. I think the lights are only 5 volt. Thanks for your time
I have the same airplane which I have yet to maiden. I have a 35 cc rear exhaust engine in it. Any tips prior to the maiden? Where did you find CG in your model, as I have heard from several people that the CG recommended in the plans is incorrect. What were your control throws? I’ve been in the Hobby for more than 45 years, and have flown other large scale aircraft (crop duster, PT 19, and P 47 )but this is my first large scale war bird. My email is navydoc192 at yahoo if you would rather email me that answer me in this forum.
The Cg i found on the rcgroups forums, I also lowered the landing gear somewhat and angled the a bit more forward to avoid nose tipping. Good luck on the maiden 👍
Very nice flown in a scale manner and the Landings - Perfect :) Congratulations
Thanks 👍👍
Fantastic. I love rc warbirds with a fourstroke engine. Beautiful plane and very well flown by the pilot. I enjoyed watching this. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks 👍👍
Oh man, I just love 4t engines in RC models. Thumbs up 4 that Saito sound
It's a great engine for sure 👍
From down under ❤
Thanks from the top 😁👍
War bird flying is not for the faint at heart.Nice job.
Thanks 👍
Great display and sound !
Many thanks 👍👍
Nice landings!!!
Thanks ☺️👍
Nice flying/landings. Looks like the cg is perfect.
Thanks 👍
Very nice Hurri, looks very accurate too, so many out there just don't look right. Perfect landings too shame about the last one!
The Hurri is with it's very thick wing a bit tricky to get right, it also helps using a good gyro system 👍👍
Great plane, great flying.
Thanks buddy 👍
Looks great especially for a seagulls model
Thanks 👍
Very nice model and good piloting.
Thank you much appreciated 👍
Nice slow idle on that Saito 👍 very nice
Yes that saito runs really good 👍
Beautiful sound of engine and landing!👍👍👍
Thanks, much appreciated 👍
Very nice engine installation.
Thanks
Beautiful !!
Thanks 😁👍
Just ordered one. NGH 30cc going up front
Congratulations 🎉
@ thanks! Any advice? Manual CG good?
@flyboywbl CG at 110mm, I shortened the landing gear and tilted them forward a few degrees.. Very sensitive elevator, expo is advised 😁👍
Oh! Just my favorite flying style ♪
Mine too 😁👍
Very nice, where did you get the sprung tailwheel from please ?
I bought it from AliExpress actually 😁
great man.... can you tell me if the retracts that come in this plane kit box from seagull are usable?
They might be, I've never used them..
Super nice flying and landings!
Curious how much nose weight was needed and what retracts you used.
Thanks

How is the power of the FG30 on this plane? Do you have an all up weight?
The power is perfect with the saito, not sure about the weight

Nice Nice nice
Nice flying!! What fuel mix and prop on the Saito? Max RPM?
Thanks, I use 5% oil mix as per saito recommended. Prop was 16x8 apc but don't remember the RPM.
Did you have to move firewall any
No, no need to move it 👍

No just some throttel use for speed control, thank you for the kind words…
