Interesting side note. I DID pay for 1 year of college (1982), with my late 60's and 70's baseball cards. About $3000. I also gave little nephews MJ rookie cards (I collected basketball heavily when it wasn't hot), and Lord, do I wish I had those back! BUT, $30,000 for a box of cards, unknown...NOPE.

That gold isn’t worth 1500 bucks like you said it’s worth around 900 because that gold isn’t very pure it’s only 14k

14k troy ounce is $1,000 as of today. It’s fluctuates. That’s only the gold. The card makes it more valuable

Entertaining video. Eminence is way over priced in my opinion, unless you pull the Zion or Ja RPA. For 30K, you could almost buy a GOAT-ish (Kobe, Lebron) PSA 10 rookie card.

The value of the box doesn’t change the facts that pulling autographed cards with silver , gold and diamonds is in fact exciting. The guy who bought the box knows the risk that he might loose some money. Doesn’t take away the excitement of the opening. The value is irrelevant you can’t really argue that it wouldn’t be exciting to open this box. Sorry bud.

That's subjective, some people think gold and silver are fine elements but I'm not the only one that would enjoy creativity in the cards a bit more for the value.

Not intended to be negative - Would the value of ALL of these cards pulled be worth OVER even 10K? I am noticing that hobby boxes are going for astronomical amounts of $$$. I truly was just wondering what those card values would total to.
No people try to sale individual cards but its perceived value, nobody is really buying individual cards in volume. But because the perceived value for those cards is high, the boxes sale for a ton. It is like gacha gaming IRL lol. If there was an actual market and brokerage mainstream for individual cards then maybe but as it stands now, he wasted 20-25k lol.

cards like those since they are thick most people are never going to grade them and since they come encased like that. There probably isn’t one PSA 10 of any of those cards in existence right now.
I think it’s because these cards are such short print that there aren’t much comps on the market for graded pieces

@@MischiefVolumeFilms yeah that as well. Every card is numbered /10 or less. There’s really no need to grade cards worth this much and that are this rare. The odds of getting a 10 on any of these is low, and a 10 isn’t really going to multiply the value too much like it would a cheaper card. They come encased already so most people don’t wanna take the risk anyways
For sets like these some times its hard to find comps. We will try our best to find prices for future videos
I don't even like sports but I can't deny that the sports cards are a lot nicer looking and more interesting.

Cool cards but just think of the cards you can get for 30k. You can get a Jordan PSA 8 or 9 RC + a PSA 9 Lebron Rookie Card Auto + a PSA 9 Kobe Atomic Refractor Rookie. Would you rather have those 3 cards or the contents of an average Eminence box? Depends on the person, I guess.

Don't get me wrong....the cards and box is sick. 30G's and I don't get a shot at 2 signers because they're UD Exclusive? I'm of course referring to Lebron & Jordan...I wonder if Panini & UD would ever get together to do a single release product to just have the chance to pull Jordan & Lebron...what the cost would be? Now 30k for a chance at a modern card #'d to say 3 that was a dual Jordan/James auto. Or better yet...Panini has got to have some stickers left somewhere for a special release of Kobe autos..a triple auto Jordan/James/Kobe? Mind blown.

$30K... In Western NY state you can buy over 60 acres of property for that type of money.
An ounce of silver is worth about 30 bucks.
Also, that gold u got is 14k, which means it is not pure gold, though it is still valuable. So slice the value in half. Pure gold (for the sake of measurement) is 24k. If that is 1 oz of 14k, it's probably worth $700.

Right.... but these stupid fools are competing against each other on who can open the most expensive boxes. All while knowing they have like a 1% chance at pulling fire. I haven't paid these bullshit prices for packs/boxes in over a yr. Its probably been 6 months since I've ripped a pack. Decided to go the buying raw/graded route, and my PC has went from a C+ to an A-. Buying singles is the way to go, plus it keeps the flippers from banking. Also, eventually it'll have to put a hurting on manufacturing companies also. So buy singlesand stop contributing to the over inflated prices..

I lost my 800 card binder with all my David Robinson's with over 100 game used, 7 autos, refractors, hell you name it I had it from 1989 tell 2015 I collected from when I was a kid. Anyway I'm glad y'all didn't pull a D.Robinson cause it hurts to see some great ones these days get pulled. Again that was a awesome box guys!! Keep making the videos an I'll keep watching them.
