Amazing rom hack it has so many neat features that make it very modern compared to its retro inspiration, but doesn't lose any of the charm from that generation in the process. A niche personal addition I would love to see is visual day/night cycles to add immersion and a 2nd gen feel edit: Pokemon sprites that follow you for every one of them is really impressive and look great. The fact that you can catch or obtain all gen 1-3 pokemon, incuding legendaries and additions to their evolutions up to 9th generation is such a great idea. Including the finding pokemon in tall grass mechanic from omega ruby and alpha sapphire is a cherry on the cake I really appreciate also
I am SO happy to see this kind of art style come back and the touches they added to modernize the game. I did love Ruby and Sapphire but I never got around to playing them again on my emulators because I found they were too clunky by modern standards and I've been spoiled by too many rom hacks. This now gives me a good reason to go back ❤️
I just beat the champion and I loved this game and all the improvements it made. Only bad thing was, that i stuck with my team pretty early on and was on or above the level cap for the later half of the game. Nevertheless, the champion fight was exiting and close. Also I never played an original third gen game.
man I was excited to play as ethan but they changed the player sprite to brenden and may in the latest release. does anyone know if you can switch it to ethan in the new release?
Gen 3 sucks other than frlg being the best remakes other than hgss, so if this doesnt have the bad of gen 3 and hopefully doesnt have gens 5-9 pkmn then im gonna get a physical copy
