  • Jigsaw reading is a great way to give learners a real reason to read and an authentic speaking task. This video from ELT-Training.com will help you to avoid the pitfalls and make it go smoothly! If you like it, check out my other material for English language teachers at www.elt-training.com including the CELTA Toolkit, 'Grammar for teachers' and 'Lesson planning made easy'.

    Dear Jo Gakonga, I want to thank you from my whole heart for your videos...I like your soft and pleasant voice which makes me calm. I had been watching your videos for some months before I entered CELTA, which helped me understand better what was happening during this course. Now I continue watching and applying the pieces of advice from the videos... Thank you very much for your work.

    You have explained it so well, better than reading loads of material and yet confusing it with information-gap activity. You pron, style and explanation are all highly intelligible.

    I always like your videos. Thnks a lot. I've got one question here, at end of the video you suggested some follow up activities like writing. In case the lesson main aim is writing, can a jigsaw task serves as a model to analyze (Product writing)?

    • @elttraining
      @elttraining  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Absolutely- why not! That’s a great idea to integrate skills work.

    Brilliant idea, but could it be applicable for elementary level ?

    • @elttraining
      @elttraining  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hmm- it depends on the texts, I guess- I think so if it was simple enough and fairly short. Only one way to find out! Let me know how you get on :)
