  • Weekend in the Cinque Terre, Porto Venere, and Palmaria: What to See in 3 Days
Hello everyone and welcome to this new video! 🎥 Today, I'm taking you with me on a fantastic weekend exploring the wonderful Cinque Terre, Porto Venere, and the beautiful Palmaria Island. Get ready for an unforgettable experience filled with hiking, street food, crystal clear seas, and breathtaking sunsets. 🌅
    Day 1: The Cinque Terre
Our journey begins in La Spezia, where we take the train to explore the Cinque Terre. Our first stop is Monterosso, the largest village known for its beaches. Here we indulge in a typical Ligurian breakfast: focaccia dipped in cappuccino. It's a strange but delicious combination that I recommend trying at least once in your life! 🥖☕
After breakfast, we're ready to tackle one of the area's most scenic treks: the trail connecting Monterosso to Vernazza. It's a challenging hike, but the panoramic views of the sea and villages are absolutely priceless. 🌊
Once in Vernazza, we soak in the lively atmosphere of the village and stop for some street food. You can find everything here, from fried anchovies to farinata, a dish made from chickpea flour. A real paradise for food lovers! 🍤
We continue our tour by train and reach Corniglia, the smallest of the Cinque Terre villages, perched on a cliff. After a brief visit, we head to Manarola, famous for its colorful houses overlooking the sea. Finally, we arrive in Riomaggiore, where we end our day with a romantic walk along the marina. ❤️
Day 2: Porto Venere and Palmaria Island
The second day is dedicated to Porto Venere and Palmaria Island. We leave early in the morning by ferry from La Spezia and arrive in Porto Venere. This village is a true gem, with its colorful houses, the Church of San Pietro standing out against the sea, and the sea caves to explore. After a morning spent wandering through the village streets, we head to Palmaria Island. 🏝️
Palmaria Island is a small natural paradise, ideal for trekking and sea lovers. We follow one of the trails crossing the island, admiring spectacular views and reaching the beach in front of Tino Island. Here, we stop for a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear waters. 🏞️
The day ends with a boat tour around the island, during which we enjoy a sunset aperitif. A magical experience that will leave you speechless. 🛥️🍹
Day 3: La Spezia and lunch with the fishermen
We spend our last day in La Spezia, exploring the city and its surroundings. We head to the harbor, where we decide to have lunch at a super local spot. Here, local fishermen cook freshly caught fish. You can't book in advance, so you have to arrive and wait your turn, but I assure you it's absolutely worth it! 🐟🍴
And so concludes our fantastic weekend. Three intense and emotional days, which I recommend replicating if you feel like discovering one of the most beautiful areas of Italy.
