The Vedder kydex pocket holster has a fatal flaw. The kydex is formed so tightly to the gun shape on the outward facing side that the holster by itself without a gun looks like a gun in your pocket. There are similar kydex designs (J hook) where the outward facing side of the holster is smooth and does not print like a gun. The inward facing side is molded to the gun for retention.
@@lynnslaterjr Alabama holsters. They show front/back photos. Wear mine always front pocket any pants or shorts and not a glance from any one… go for the thumb release option.
I have a Kimber Micro .380. I will use the pocket holster primarily in my scrub pants. Do you have a suggestion? Is the Nemesis a good one for that pistol? Thanks
Neat way to use you tecgrip holster is as a sheath for your kydex holster. It prevent a heavy pistol from dragging down you pants and easy reholstering. It the way I carry now. I got a bigger tecgrip to encase my kydex holster
I’ve done that for years with Kydex inside a soft one like an Uncle Mikes. Lately I’ve been using sticky holsters as well. The trick is adjusting the tension screw on the kydex to just the right tension to stay in the soft holster.

Very good point. What do you recommend? (I could not find J hook, the term is too commonly used.)

I’m a huge fan of Galco and Barsony leather pocket holsters. Similar designs. They never come out when drawing the pistol.

I don't trust any holster that do not have retention at the trigger guard. Kydex will always be safer.

None of these holsters keep the pistol grip from printing through the pocket. Swing and a miss!
Boraii kydex pocket holsters. Minimalist, guarded trigger, thin as can be. Beats all the soft holsters.
