Six years later and my AT Max with Z link is still performing as good as new! My sixth Garrett detector and I couldn't be happier with the quality and depth. Thanks to everyone at Garrett for building a great product line.
It was a hard decision for me to make, I spent one and a half to two weeks looking at all of the detectors,not just GARETT but other brands I've never heard of.I was familiar with GARETT AND WHITE,then found out white went out of business because of covid,bummer but I always had my eye 👁️ on GARETT,since 1972.I made up my mind and bought a,"GARETT AT MAX", one of the top of the line ! Alot of accessories included under the same price.I ordered my GARETT from,"DETECTOR WAREHOUSE". Now watch out,there is another company out there with the same price but not that many ACCESSORIES and if you want more accessories your going to PAY EXTRA for them,there in the state of Oregon and they don't charge for taxes.I think I got a better deal with DETECTOR WAREHOUSE, THE AT MAX,$ 759.95+check out the ACCESSORIES, THE OTHER PLACE IS: NW DETECTOR SALES, don't get me wrong, I like both places but look at how much $ I saved from buying from DETECTOR WAREHOUSE, GOOD LUCK 🤞😁

Hello, I am a visually impaired person and I like to metal detect, but I have a slight problem with seeing the screen and the buttons. I need your help too describe an assign the buttons. For example, where is the iron audio placed and where is the mode channel placed and how many times should I press the button to get certain customisation? For example, press three times to get to the zero mode press two times to get to the all metal mode. Sorry for the long explanation and I am willing to pay you for your trouble. Best regards.

Just got the new AT Max. I'm trying to loosen the upper camlock to take it off as shown in order to be able to connect it to the S stem, but I'm unable to loosen it to the point of being able to remove it. Is this a common assembly problem? Could the upper camlock be badly designed, faulty or something else? Am I missing something? Very frustrating. I don't want to break the upper camlock just merely for the sake of removing it. Any help is appreciated. Thanks
Got mine last week took it out this weekend (1-27-19) and am having problems with the signals (VDI) being all over the map. A rusty nail 4" deep goes from 20-48-69-83. Just walking around it does every target it hits the same number crazy. It does not seem to settle into a niche. How can I stop this? I was deep in woods not towers, electrical lines or cell phones nearby.
I’ve had my at max for about two months now I’m really disappointed in it I don’t know if something is wrong with it or it’s just not that great I have a whites spectrum and I wish I would have stayed with whites could you help me with some suggestions thanks
Hope you didn't give up on your Max too quick, Orville58. There is a learning curve and it takes some time to get used to it. I bought my a few months ago and loving it.
Try and find a dealer to get the best price. Tell them you just want the detector and headphones without anything else that comes in the kit! The price should drop for you. There was one on eBay that just sold for $600 pre owned used 2 times. Call a dealer first before you go to eBay or amazon. Hope this helps.
I never see anyone demonstrates how Deep any metal detector could detect. Dig a trench, drill holes in intervals of 1-10 inches if not deeper. Placing objects in each hole to prove to buyers how deep on average the Garrett's metal detectors detect, not just buy word of mouth or the buyer giving it a shot in the dark. With the cost of metal detectors, we deserve some proof like that, not just everyday usage or metal detecting.
