    Nice review, thanks! Your enthusiasm for the T120 shows! I have the T120 in black and white, and I certainly love mine.
    I have to agree with all you've said.
    On your mirrors, try them at night. The fact that they're a little narrower than you are means that the headlights of following vehicles are blocked. You just have to move your head slightly to see directly behind.
    Agree with you on the kill switch. Let the ECU kill the engine as there's a sequence involved and it's important.
    Envy your DRL. We don't have it in the States.
    The cruise control works a treat, BTW!
    Looks like lovely country to ride in.

    These things attracted me to the Bonneville: 1. It’s looks including the bling. 2. It’s small size. 3. Centre stand. 4. Heated grips. 5. It’s simplicity. 6. It’s grunt. Things I do not like: 1. Snatchyness at low speed. (Throttle slack me thinks). 2. The suspension components. Better springing and damping would be nice. Do I love riding it? Absolutely!

      Hi Trevor,
      I have owned my T120 for 4 years now and I still enjoy riding it.
      Thankfully in that time I have eliminated the snatchy throttle response and upgraded the suspension so it’s about as good as it’s going to get now.

    Lovely choice. I paid for mine today, it landed in the dealer yesterday. Get it two weeks time. I was gonna keep my other bike aswell but decided, today, just as you did to only have the bonnie. I cannot wait to get it & everyone who reviews it loves it. I reckon itvwill be a keeper!

    I found as I got older I was more comfy with smaller bikes, the Explorer like the GS and many others are simply massive to me now. These new Hinckleys are truly awesome. I had 3 air-cooled (one in the UK) and a Scrambler which I loved. I now ride a different brand that is much lighter, faster and more agile but good on ya for your new ride.

    Very nice I really like the colour I have one in red but think prefer yours. I have done 2000 miles on mine and can't fault it.
    Done a few mods LED indicators short stems on front look much better, V&H exhaust sound great and a bit more torque, fitted a small screen really helps on the motorway. Enjoy it's a great bike.

    Nice bike great review .
    I have a "modded T100" and was gonna trade it in for a120 but the differences weren't that great to justify the purchase price. But it's certainly a better machine out of the factory than the T100 ever was.
    Enjoy !!

    I just fell in love with this bike!!! Really like the looks of it. I am in the market for something else and this bike might be the one! Currently riding a BMW R1150RT but want something lighter. Don't need a great touring bike like the RT because I don't drive long distances anymore. Just need a fun bike. Not sure if this bike is great for driving with a passenger. Today I took a test ride on a Yamaha Tracer 900. Totally different bike but also really nice to handle.

      Hi,
      I can't comment on 2 up riding, the wife won't ride pillion.
      The 1200cc engine is really torquey and I'm sure it would cope very well with the added weight of a pillion.
      I'm not sure how comfortable it would be 2 up, it does feel a small bike to me.
      Having said that my old T140V was a similar size and I did thousands of miles 2 up on her.
      Best bet is to take your better half for a test ride on one.
      Regards
      Andy
      p.s. It's got to be comfier than a R1 or GSXR pillion.

    Great new bike, the looks are fantastic and a good choice with the colours. Its one of those bikes were you will find people nodding as they walk past and going Mmmmm, it just has those looks, and the sound is of the makes you smile variety. Looking forward to some more Peak videos with you and the new steed. P.S. did you film this at the back of Longstone.

    I love the new Bonnevilles. I'd like to get one of these and paint it to match the1959 version. Orange and white tank, with a stripe on the fender.

    • @peakbiker
      @peakbiker  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi,
      I'm probably wrong, but I think the new T100 is being offered in orange and white.
      I am planning on having my mudguards painted with a cranberry stripe and gold lining to match the tank.
      I've been to see the guys at 8 Ball paint shop at Ripley and they're sorting it out for me.
      Regards
      Andy

    • @daveco1270
      @daveco1270 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'll have to look for that one. I've seen a gold and white version, but it's a different design than the 59. The 59 was a very simple paint job, the bottom part of the tank was orange and the top was white.

      Hi Adam,
      I have fitted one or two extras recently. I'm preparing another upload that hopefully will give people an idea of the benefits of fitting the Vance and Hines silencers.

      Peak Biker, I look forward to seeing it. There's a few mods that I was looking at. Zard makes a nice exhaust system for the T120, and I'm wondering if I should put drag pipes on it. I'm having second thoughts however because adding drag pipes will eliminate the catalytic converter, so I would also have to add a power commander and probably a better air intake. It adds up to a lot of money.

    Really enjoyed both of your videos Andy on your new T120. I am just about to order mine after a test ride before Christmas, moving from a 2015 Honda CB650F to the T120. A very different bike but better for my style of riding now. Just one question - I use my CB650F to commute 26 miles each way to work from March through to November. Have you - or anyone else - used the Triumph as a daily commute and if so how have you found it? Keep up the great videos - looking forward to more of you and your gorgeous machine!

    • @peakbiker
      @peakbiker  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi,
      I hope that you get as much pleasure riding your T120 as I do mine.
      I don't use my bike to commute but I would imagine that it will do the job just fine. It's so effortless to ride, easy to steer and agile.
      The torquey 1200cc engine just plugs on with barely a complaint and the clutch is pretty light as you probably know from your test ride.
      I should think it will be good for weaving in and out of slow traffic and there won't be many tight gaps you can't squeeze through on the T120.
      Regards
      Andy

      Hi Andy, Just to say I ordered mine on Sat - same colours as yours. Delivery date end of March - can't wait! Really enjoyed your videos on the exhaust comparisons and adjusting the chain. All the best, Paul.

      @peakbiker  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Paul,
      I hope you're as pleased with your T120 as I am, when you get it.
      Mine has been garaged up since they started salting the roads and I can't wait to get back out on her.
      Hopefully by the time you pick yours up, the roads and weather should be improving so you ought to be able to get her run in.
      Have fun and ride safe.

    Hi PB, do you still have the T120? During your ownership did you ever suffer from the dreaded brake squealing so many other owners suffered?

    • @peakbiker
      @peakbiker  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Steven,
      Yes I still own the T120 and will be back on the road soon.
      Brake squeal, I did occasionally suffer from it but rarely.
      Hopefully it will be a thing of the past soon, I am awaiting delivery of a front brake upgrade kit that consists of 340mm floating discs and Brembo 4 pot callipers.

    Great review. Do you use accessories (panniers etc) for long trips?

    • @peakbiker
      @peakbiker  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi,
      No, I haven't bought panniers.
      If I go for a day ride of 2-300 miles I just take a few odds and ends in the tank bag.
      If I was planning to ride any greater distances over a period of days, I would have to invest in some panniers or a large tote bag strapped on the back which some people appear to manage well enough with.
      Regards

    Can I Ask is the centre stand easy to lift on too.

    • @peakbiker
      @peakbiker  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi,
      It's dead easy to put on the centre stand. You just press down on the centre stand arm with your foot and she just rolls onto the stand. There's no heaving the bike up and back.

    What are your thoughts on the torque? Too much for a first time bike owner? Rode dirt bikes 30 years ago and just recently took the motorcycle safety course. Want to buy the T120 but not sure if the torque would get me into trouble. Keep the great vids coming!

    • @peakbiker
      @peakbiker  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi,
      I would say that the T120 is a very rider friendly bike. I can't think of any vices.
      There's loads of low down torque and it can propel you off the mark pretty swiftly.
      The ride by wire throttle is silky smooth and you just have to take it steady with the right hand.
      When you set off you do tend to find that you are moving quicker than every one else, the old girl wants to get flying.
      I would suggest a test ride to be sure.
      Regards
      Andy

    I really like most of the new Triumphs and especially these but why does everyone assume that these new bikes are connected in any way with the original Triumph motorcycles because they're just not. Les Harris agreed to sell the name to John Bloor but the logo had to be changed slightly. This is a new bike, new design, new factory, new designers, new crew and could just as well have been called a Kawasaki! I keep hearing reference to the old Bonny; there only ever was one Triumph Bonneville and these new bikes aren't them. It comes down to simple plagiarism, nothing more and nothing less and it's really annoying!

    How many miles does it do to full tank.

    • @peakbiker
      @peakbiker  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi,
      It obviously depends how you ride. I haven't done any checking, but the gauges say around 190 miles to empty when the tank is full.
