the first departure is my favorite, this part 12:37. Exploring through the fields and even fighting enemies with this song was so therapeutic and awesome. I will miss this game.

I remember that at some point of the game ambient music in the Ravensthrope changed! I thought I glitched, but no, there's actually another (low) version!

Great work, mate. Thanks. As for the game, it's really good. Main story took me about 50 hrs to complete, and even though I tend to take my time, it should still be at least 30-35. They brought back Darby McDevitt, the guy who wrote ACR and AC4, and as a result, the story is not only good, but bloody brilliant. They also brought back a lot from the older games, including huge swathes of areas designed for parkour, the choice to enable one-tap assassinate, and ofc, the hidden blade. So yeah, all in all, I'd say definitely go for it.

Thanks for taking the time to write this, sounds like the story definitely gives off a sense of adventure, just like the soundtrack

@Mateusz Abramczyk I'm in for about 350-400hrs, so you can understand I was taking a loooong time also to build Valka's Hut.. 😀
I love the ambience and settings overall, so I just drop somewhere en try to enjoy every detail.
I played all, but the last DLC. Finished main story, but still enjoying. As I was in AC Odyssey for over 450hrs.
Ow, yeah, minor detail; I love photomode! 😀

Its more vibed for lonmg term players then shorter termed ones.
Its defenitely fun but Eivor isnt like Kenway where you can just ignore all the Templar/Assassin bullshit and be a pirate. Eivor's shit is wrapped up much more in their conflict.
So if you are just looking for a great Viking history game.... its really not it; but it is still fun.

Just wanna say this as i have on a few videos as it matter to Me as a long term fan if you don't like what I say please remember we're all fans and all different. Just sat here remembering all the good times I had on odyssey only for valhalla to have leaks suggesting kassandra will appear in game regardless of our choice to play as alexios. I'm sure this will please ac2 fans who don't care about the new games and the kassandra fans. But the 2 thirds of us who played odyssey as alexios are disregarded. And it makes me feel unwelcome in this series. Guess even a long term fan like me doesn't matter anymore. Even after all the trailers for odyssey and valhalla promised to focus on player choice. The art book for valhalla claims they want us to feel most comfortable in playing our Eivor. But them how can I when I'm always told I played these games "wrong?" I have all my memories of valhalla and odyssey and playing these games at the same time as my brother who finally got back into assassins creed with me. But now it's like all our memories our soured. Just because we made the valid choice to play as the protagonists we felt more comfortable with and liked more. It's very odd as it dosent stop me playing these new games, rather it makes it all feel wrong. If I play the "canon" way I don't like it as much as the way I first played them, yet if I play it my way, it might not work with future games or dlc and that will ruin it for a long term fan who has always cared about the story we play. What's worse is I'm often bullied online for playing as alexios. This fan base and Ubisoft themselves have become so aggressive and nasty about wanting people to play these choice games the way they want instead of the way we who paid for the games want. It's a shameful time to be part of assassins creed with the level of forceful agender and bullying going on. I remember before valhalla launched everyone played as who they wanted and it was ok. Regardless of canon. Ubisoft promised our choice would be our canon. Then valhalla launched and now bullying and political arguments are the norm in this once great game series.

How can you go from the soundtracks of AC2, Brotherhood, Revelations and Odyssey to this? This makes me yawn

    • @badpuppy3

Because not all music has to be action queues. This music is atmospheric and meditative.

This game has a similar soundtrack to revelations, the fact that you would compare the two just means you probably haven’t played either

Maybe... Just maybe... it's a matter of taste. I love the AC2 soundtracks (all of them), also the Odyssey en Valhalla. Doesn't mean >you< have to.

I think it's actually pretty decent. It's got an atmospheric feel that fits the Viking & early medieval setting of AC Valhalla
