This is so heart-wrenchingly beautiful, fantastic job! I especially liked the part from 1:44 to 2:00, "Christopher has become so smart. Christopher is dead. They"ll take him away from me". Once again, fantastic job!

I love how all the Sherlock fans are here.
No joke, tho, this movie made me so sad. I watched it a while ago because I saw Benedict was the man character, and I didn’t regret it.

I watched this movie way before I watched Sherlock and became absolutely obsessed with Benedict. I didn’t even knew it was Ben in the movie, or at least I didn’t remember. Such an incredible masterpiece of a film.

This is a great film *but* the truth kind of gets faded with drama, Im not going to write a whole essay but Alan has been one of my favourite people in history for years and I really want people to research his story themselves before they go watch or re-watch the film (the same goes for every biopic) I know these types of movies take 'creative liberties' but *key important* people have been left out, I know this film is about Alan's tragic story but without Gordon Welchman helping enigma would not of been cracked as quickly or even at all. I feel like they should of replaced the russian spy bit with Gordon to at least mention him as he is always overlooked-yes the bit where Alan is accused as a spy most likely never happened as the actual spy was working on a different unit at Bletchley and due to security protocols never really met.
Alan also did not draw up the machine plans himself, a team from Germany or Sweden actually created the first one called a bombe-yes bomb with an e- although Alan was a genius and threw us into the digital age.
Another dramatisation is Christopher- I know this is very minor- but the machine was never called Christopher and the real Christopher never got him into code and cyphers, that was a years after he died.
One last thing- I swear even though I could go on for ages- is Turing's character himself, having watched interviews, studied the topic for a GCSE essay I can say with confidence Alan was a very approachable man. He was surprisingly open about his sexuality- making no attempts to hide it completely. He openly went on vacation to Greece and invite many people over for dinner. There are other things I could mention like the rivalry in the group, there was obviously some tension sometimes in the group but they were at war under pressure to crack a supposedly impossible code every 12 hours.
*I do love this film* I dont want to sound like Im nit-picking (which Im doing a bit) it just irritates me because alot of people obviously look at 'based on a true story' and dont really think what is fabricated or dramatised. I am not a complete expert but I have looked at this topic alot and really want Alan's story to be remembered truthfully, this movie still brought me to tears and made me sad. OH and Turing would actually make jokes about his breasts increasing due to the 'treatment' which I think is quite funny considering the man had been though hell and was still managing to joke- so yeah that bit is dramatised to.It was also never confirmed he actually did kill himself and from interviews his friends had stated he was happy up until his death *but I dont know and im not going to fuel conspiracy theories* the offical statement said suicide so thats what we stick with I guess.
*Anywho still a great movie, have a good day yall*
    (turns out I wrote a whole essay..oops)

Thanks for all that info on Alan! He was amazing ❤ you can think of this vid as a response to the fictional character that was inspired by Alan 😊 I know a lot of fans went to look up the real alan and the real bletchley park after they saw the film which is great! And Alan's relatives (his neices I think) helped benedict out a lot with research and said they enjoyed the film which is nice 😊
