yeah the new Astra codex is really interesting! Of course a lot was about the setting of the game and dice rolls, but I think Astra is playable again ^^ Thank you
It's rather unfortunate the Tyranids couldn't close the distance enough to really make use of their melee power. The heavy guns of the Guard made the bugs go "Splat". Hammer of the Emperor is alive and well, even in the new codex, and it puts in work.
Guys but in this case you easily gave the victory to the astra, the parasite was not seen and idk, I expected te mawloc to charge against the leman russ
Andrea considered charging the Leman Russ with the Mawloc but then changed his mind. The Mawloc hasn't the power to destroy the Leman Russ and the tank can still shoot him in close combat so it wouldn't change the outcome.
Wondering if a hive tyrant is the play at 500 pts. May be better off with a broodlord or neurothrope hq as warlord that way you can fit better monsters like an exocrine or more infantry like venomthropes, more troops, or pyrovores
Leman Russ splated those big nids :D I think auto-wound on 6 on whole army is to much... I think big unit of termagants could do some work there in place of mawlock.

poor bugs, they got splat so quick q.q i kinda wish the games were a bit more balanced as now it was kinda over at round 2, close games be the best games are there any plans to play boarding actions? ive seen a few batreps and ive been loving the boarding action rules it has made the game so much more interesting ^^

The Guard Splat Tyranid Warriors in turn one is surprising moment here, could bring chaff unit to hold on that fire power for sure

Give the field ordnance batteries the order take aim, and castellan gives re-roll 1's, and your enemies will go splat!!

Autowound on roll of 6's? That's nothing compared to Votann's 4's if unit has 3 judgement tokens, utterly broken in small games
