@@dodang_9147 I’d say it’s fair for adrenaline to be a bit lower now then it used to be considering you don’t get it off hook now, which was it’s most useful aspect before the nerf. It’s still good don’t get me wrong, but it requires a little more planning to use it effectively than before I’d say. I do agree with your other takes tho
I'm so happy that the long tierlists arent done, i know for awhile Otz said he wasn't going to do them anymore but these are so nice, so well put together. The long content is wonderful for working, falling asleep etc. So thank you Otz for continuing these.
i disagree with We'll Make It being a 3 star perk. It is definitely 4 star. Healing twice as fast can literally change the outcome of a game because it can prevent your teammates from being tunnelled, and the fact that it stays active for 90 seconds means you can get multiple heals off, completely shutting down the killers pressure. it is one of the most underrated perks in the game. Saying that resurgence is just straight better makes no sense because you would need to run resurgence on all individual players for that to be the case.
With resurgence you take 2-3 seconds, we'll make it takes 8, and you need to use it on someone else, if you run resurgence and carry a medkit or have selfcare you can just escape after being unhooked and heal yourself buying time for the rest of the team, instead of having 2 survivors not doing anything for 8 seconds, considering they have to coordinate so they run somewhere safe and that's even more time if they don't want to try and heal in the open (it doesn't avoid campers)
I'd agree but counter arguement: medkits, they are still the best item in the game and with resurgence its busted. you also don't need to rely on another team mate to help you, they can just run off and do a gen while you heal yourself in a few seconds. it overall saves your team more time in the long run than we'll make it, except in extremely niche scenarios.
I think it might be even more solidified as a meta perk if they ever remove or rework syringes; for the low cost of one perk you turn a brown medkit with basic add-ons into an insane item and also counter several killer perks that were buffed recently like Leverage, Deathbound, etc.
Maybe new Leverage will become a counter meta. I've been running into a lot of resurgences lately, seeing people healed like 4 seconds after being unhooked is crazy
It surely is a very strong perk now, but seems like this tierlist does not take into account how Resurgence gets weakened quite significantly by the hemorrhage status effect (passive loss of heal progress), applied by several common killer perks & add-ons.
Red Herring story: in the first chaos shuffle I had it and self-aware so when this nurse starts rolling up to my gen, I walk away to a locker in a spot where I could witness her looking around all confused and unable to find me, then slink inside the locker and cause the gen to do the fake explosion and I could just feel the ?s emanating from her as she frantically searched the area. She downed me about 10 seconds later.
Im glad you decided to put in the extra effort this time and show the entire perk description, something that bothered me a little bit during the last video. Otz never stops improving his videos
Its just crazy to me how much value could Déjà Vu bring to the table in my beginner survivor days. I can swear that each match after completing gen, being unhooked, etc. I spent on average somewhere around 2-3 minutes just running around the map trying to find any sign of a generator and on closed maps I couldn't find them at all. AND It gives permanent speed boost for repairing those generators AND it highlights possible 3-gens, which could make my trials easier without even me knowing. But I guess I DESPERATELY needed a perk slot for my precious Self-care without the Botany knowledge :D

Out of this niche use, they barely deserve that one star rank.
I mainly use flash bangs for variety and how many saves are not possible with a flash light but are with the flashbang. You said for example weskers grab animation instead of picking up but with perfect timing you can actually get the save from a wesker grab with a flash bang.

I don't know why Balanced Landing isn't higher. great video to watch while in killer queue for 2v8 after you haven't played since Chucky came out to catch up with how the game has evolved, ty for the content
The 5 best are all second chance perks... kinda sad this game has never overcome the second chance/gen control meta, they've always been the best, they still are the best, and it seems it will remain this way forever.
In a game about deprivation of information and time control it makes a lot of sense. Although I wouldn't call them second chance perks at this point, they only punish specific tactics the majority of the time. Original decisive strike and dead hard were the only real second chance perks as they gave you a free life/hit respectively without any tangible cost at the beginning of a match. Decisive, dead hard, off the record, and resurgence only punish you if you return to the hook and chase the recently unhooked survivor. In addition they don't stop you from playing the game, just deny you the option of the lowest hanging fruit the majority of the time
Deja and windows are stronger since they will always provide value and have a ton of uptime regardless of how the killer plays. If the killer doesn't slug or tunnel the 5 star perks go down a tier except OTR maybe since you get the 2 best stealth perks and can take hit for someone aggressively
Resurgence (works only twice and gets countered by hemorrhage and hitting off hook) and quick gambit (60 second cooldown and only 5% in chase) are too high imo other than that nice list
I'm a bit surprised to see "We'll Make It" as a 3* perk instead of 4*, personally I use it more often than not and it saves a huge amount of time or allows to get heals that normally would not be possible
Powercreeped by resurgence. We'll make it lets you heal in 8 seconds, but for resurgence it's just 4.8 seconds and the survivor can self heal quickly too if needed.
OTZ! I’m just getting back into the game!! I’ve been gone for a while, and as a killer main, I’ve been a bit overwhelmed by all the new survivor perks, and changes to old perks! Thank you so much for the video, I’m glad to see your still making content. You’ve always been my favourite DBD TH-camr.
Well when bhvr decides to buff a previous meta perk then it instantly becomes meta again, when they originally buffed ds back to 5 seconds everyone was running it like it was 2020 all over again so it had to get nerfed to 4 seconds but it’s still meta. Same with iron will, it’s not particularly meta but its usage rate is super high js because they buffed it back to 100%
The problem I have with Deja Vu in solo is that the killer is most likely to find you on those generators. Then the survivors do all the easy/safe gens first and you end up with a three gen anyway. Still love the perk and do wish more people would use it but yeah.
The 6% gen speed buff from Deja Vu can still help you break through the 3 gen tho, especially if you force the killer to trigger the 8 gens kicks limit.
Otzdarva has become a term synonymous with advanced intricate knowledge in a field amongst my friends. When one of us wants to really learn some other game or thing, we say “I need the otzdarva of (insert game here)”

As someone who has been using Object constantly for 3 years, I appreciate your assessment. It's a perk that has been overlooked for a long time and it can really shine in skilled hands. I myself think its peak lies in countering aura addons or perks that affect mindgaming.
True. And if the killer has weave and you set your item down in the middle of shack, the killer can't catch you at all, because you will know what they do the entire time. So many killers give up after not getting even close to you for 60+s.
Hey Otz I really love your super long videos but i never have the time to watch it so for this one i put it on while driving to work and listened to it like a podcast. Now you have me hoping for a killer perk one
Great rundown on perks! I really appreciate you creating such a helpful rundown for players! I would be fun to have a separate ranking/score for how well perks work if the entire team is backing them up (versus their agnostic nature in soloq games) For example, you pointed out how Invocation Spiders isn't work it on its own but if teammates immediately beeline for the basement with you, it can get done in an amount of time that makes it more worth it (but not fully). Another example would be having multiple speed boobs up around the map - I've done games like with friends as a joke and I looped a Killer around the entire map with them despite not being remotely as good as you and other streamers at it. Or, conversely, how Windows of Opportunities loses most of its value if you have teammates that call out what palettes they throw.
This is the Otzdarva i like, professional, friendly and well knowledged. I really enjoyed this video, i finally have my main build for survivor. Thanks again
Really appreciate this video. I'm just getting back into DbD aftet a long break, and this was helpful and a nice watch - as always with these videos of yours.

thanks for the video, I'm new to dbd so glad to see an updated perk explanation
I thought you were going to stop making these, glad to see another one! :)
Bruh I legit just searched this up hoping there would somehow be a new one. No shot. Thank you for doing this so often!
23:41 real..
That moment honestly deserves to be in a weekly compilation
Appreciate you making and updating these tier lists. Thank you and well wishes!
Gracias por los vídeos largos, enserio necesito escuchar una voz mientras almuerzo 🙏❤️
Haven't watched it yet, but man, I REALLY needed that video. I just came back after a almost 5 year break and they changed SO MUCH
i haven’t played in a couple months but i would’ve never thought i’ve seen DS at the top of a tier list again
When one of us wants to really learn some other game or thing, we say “I need the otzdarva of (insert game here)”
Man, i was falling asleep yesterday to the last video from 7 months ago and hoped for a new one. My prayers have been answered.
Finally I have been waiting so long for another survivor tier list update!!
Thank you for all the dedication you put into those videos! Highly appreciated!
I don't really play this game that much anymore, but I just like listening Otz tell me about things
thanks for doing this for the community! also i love your t-shirt!
I love these long videos so much, keep up the good work Otz
Took a break from dbd for over a year nice to see otz updating the tier list so I have an idea of what’s still good
I don’t pretend that I popularized using Windows of Opportunity, but it was crazy to watch more people slowly pick up on why this perk was actually great, while I was already running it for the same reasons people run it today.
It's a good perk for like beginners or returning players but if you know where all the windows and pallets are you don't really need it.
I was thinking of getting back to dbd a few days ago but felt discouraged to get back on track of the new perks and stuff lmao
But your videos are very entertaining, and I've always liked how you describe each perk with examples and everything
So thanks for your videos!
I don't think I would have the same knowledge or passion for DBD if it weren't for your videos, Otz. Thank you!
Im glad deja vu is so high on the list. I once used it and now I cant play without it anymore.
Glad to see these are back. I know you said a while ago now that you weren’t interested in these kinds of videos anymore due to the backlash of certain people, but it’s nice to see.
6:30 Bold of you to assume my SoloQ mates hit skillchecks
Love the vid
Great video Otz!
The best part of this videos is waiting for people in Reddit to misunderstand every word you say and start asking for buffs and nerfs to specific perks 😂😂😂
My my, I have been waiting for this for weeks. I even rewatched your old ones from last year cause I love these thorough discussions about rankings and balance 😊❤
Just made myself a grilled cheese, happy to see Otz make a reasonably long TH-cam video to accompany it
I love these tierlists, its quite nice to know what i should be aware for matches. Thank you otz, as always; youre amazing
Yet another 3 hour video, otz doesnt care🗣🔥🔥
I like how Deadline makes skill checks so much more interesting to do.
I love this format so much!!!🔥🔥🔥 Thank you Otz!!! You are awesome!!
These videos are fucking amazing. Im sure they need a significant amount of work but this kinda of content helps me get through my day as a truck driver
These are the best kind of videos
Thank you Otz, I promised myself one more video before working on an essay that’s due tomorrow and this showed up on my feed 😊
How delightful for otz to drop a 3hr perk video the day before a large update with a ton of changes to perks also drops
prettt sure this video accounts for the new changes right
As someone who has been using Object constantly for 3 years, I appreciate your assessment.
@@valeriebreidenstein8362 not only this but you can get perma +6% speed if you place the item at a Gen.
Ty Otz I was waiting for this updated list. Much appreciated
Hey Otz I really love your super long videos but i never have the time to watch it so for this one i put it on while driving to work and listened to it like a podcast. Now you have me hoping for a killer perk one
Great rundown on perks! I really appreciate you creating such a helpful rundown for players!
I would be fun to have a separate ranking/score for how well perks work if the entire team is backing them up (versus their agnostic nature in soloq games)
For example, you pointed out how Invocation Spiders isn't work it on its own but if teammates immediately beeline for the basement with you, it can get done in an amount of time that makes it more worth it (but not fully).
I'm just getting back into DbD aftet a long break, and this was helpful and a nice watch - as always with these videos of yours.
watching this video the first time it came out was what got me to start playing dbd. it’s so nice to see a second one to hopefully do that for someone else!
I like the fact of setup for these videos gets better every time.
TY Otz! I'm a sorta newbie at DBD teaching my brother this! This saves me a TON of time when it comes to teaching him and it also teaches me!
Windows and Deja are the best, always useful regardless of how the killer plays and you can get the for. free/very cheap with shards
Very useful vid Otz, I have taken a year long break from dbd and this is useful to try catch up again
I watched the whole video. Thanks for your dedication to the community.
