I've warmed up to Knock Out more and more in recent months. I think a lot of people write it off because it's less effective against SWF on comms, but even then, the extra few seconds of pickup time have come in clutch for me so often, even I can't argue with the results. I'm a Pig main and I think it's best with killers who have alternate objectives like her, Pinhead, Sadako, etc. because you can quickly create a very chaotic situation out of nothing. Maybe you have one person who's on death hook, one person with an active trap, and you slug a third in a corner? Suddenly the survivors are in a really bad spot where you're threatening a 4K.

Ideas to buff the worst perks Septic Touch - (rework) when you injure a survivor, they become afflicted with this perks effects for 60 seconds: - they cough loudly at all times. - they become Exhausted and Blinded for the duration. - their self healing speed is reduced by 50%/60%/70%. - If another survivor begins to heal them, they are also afflicted with this perks effects. (A fun little slowdown effect that brings a bit of Plagues gameplay to everyone else.) Overwhelming Presence - in addition, reveal the aura of all survivors currently using an item. Survivors that stop using their item while affected by this perk will drop it and lose 10% of its charges. (Seems annoying but hey, lore accurate.) Distressing - (rework) your terror radius becomes 6/8/10 metres bigger. Survivors in your terror radius become nervous, causing skillchecks to shake on screen, ominous sounds for the survivors, and may randomly hear a close terror radius. (Seems fun and its effects are basekit on doctor anyway so its not OP on him) Horder - (rework) Spawn an additional empty chest in the basement. See the aura of all items, when you hook a survivor, their item drops to the ground. While standing on top of an item or chest, you may send it to the basement chest (maybe replenishing its charges to entice them?). All survivors see the aura of the chest if theres an item in it, and must rummage through the chest to pick up their item again. When a survivor is interacting with a chest, you receive a loud noise notification and see their aura in yellow. (Fitting for its name, but most survivors will just forget about even trying to get them back) Call of Brine - after kicking a generator, it becomes highlighted in yellow. It will regress at a 160%/180%/200% rate so long while no one is repairing it. This effect lasts until you kick another generator. If survivors on the affected generator hits a good skillcheck, receive a loud noise notification. (Just a numbers boost and no duration timer) Unbound - After injuring a survivor by any means, Unbound activates for 24/27/30 seconds. Vault windows 10% faster. And apply this effect: - gain 5% haste for 15 seconds after vaulting a window. - gain 15% haste for 5 seconds if you vault a window again within 3 seconds. These effects do not stack. (Literally no clue what I did here lol) Hangmans Trick - in addition, if a survivor sabotages a scourge hook, they scream and are inflicted with deepwound and 20% hindered for 5 seconds. (Still not strong, but once it activates, it will be game changing) Shadowborn - (rework) All survivors are highlighted in white when in your line of sight, becoming highly visable (especially in bushes lol). While out of line of sight of all survivors for 30/25/20 seconds, your aura cannot be read. Undone - in addition, start with 6 tokens. A generator that has been blocked by this perk will have skillchecks occur 20% more often, and 20% faster, and appear on random parts of the screen. This applies for 1 generator at a time. (No longer requires a full build on doctor, it brings the doctor to everyone else) Beast of Prey - while a survivor is in your line of sight within 16m, become undetectable, this lingers for 2/3/4 seconds. If you gain bloodlust, this perk deactivates until the chase ends, revealing the aura of the closest injured survivor not currently in chase. The bloodlust lingers for 8 seconds after the chase ends. (To promote the whole preying on the weak idea) Insidious - (rework) For each second spent standing still, gain a token. Apply effects based on the number of tokens (max 5): 1. Become undetectable. 2. Lose all breathing sounds. 3. Gain 10% haste. 4. See the aura of survivors within 8/10/12 metres. 5. Your basic attacks inflict deafened and 20% hindered for 3 seconds. You lose tokens for every second spent moving. This perk deactivates within 24m of a hook. (This makes it so if you stand still for 5 seconds, you can pull off sneak attacks against people around corners to guarentee a down. Its like a pocket sized scratch mirror for everyone else. Plus it means you can use its other effects mid chase to an extent, e.g. stand still in a loop like shack for 4 seconds, see their aura, get a second of haste, stay undetectable till all 4 seconds are up. If you dont get the hit, just stay still again and keep the few tokens saved to try again) Shattered Hope - (rework) you can break totems, when you break a totem it creates a rekindled totem in its place with an effect based on its type: Boon - all survivors within 24m have their aura revealed. Dull - all survivors within 24m suffer blindness. Hex - all survivors within 24m become exposed. This rekindled totem breaks after 60 seconds and cannot be rekindled. (Still not great. But at least it has a usage now)
@@ThyBigCheddar valid but fly still has a recovery delay that makes that boost kinda moot unless you use the add on for that which is kind of a waste imo I still think Bamboozle is stronger cos u can just auto fly thru the window like the red add on does and force them more into a lose lose with skulls or Hand
I did skip to Friends til the end and nemesis, and I think it's a crime you didn't bring up the combination of the two. Pinging something with 60 seconds of oblivious and seeing their aura across the map is very advantageous. Lots of cheeky plays between the stealth, info, and exposed. Love to pair it with drac's wolf form. Friends + furtive + lethal + nemesis is the most fun perk combo.
Just commenting to let everyone know that Unnerving Presence no longer affects skill check perks like Overcharge or Oppression, as it has somewhat recently been changed to only reduce the Good skill check zone, not the Great. So checks that only have a Great zone are completely unaffected.
Thank you, Otz, for personally reviewing and carefully explaining each perk. I shall take this into consideration as I precede to frogot all of this information in my next killer matches.
Machine learning is NOT supposed to be in weak/niche. It is a perk that basically blocks the gen from being completed by survivors, since as a consequence of it being completed the survivors get alot more pressure added on to them. I found this perk to be really useful for killers like pig.
Truuee like this perk is absolutely 4 and could be 5 stars if it activate its so strong and even if u didn’t get it the gen with so much progress will regress cuz the survivors knows u have it so its pressure either way otz greatly underestimated this perk
@@sad1716 I know right i won so many games due to this perk, on average it activates 2-3 times per match for me, also it is a guaranteed activation on last gen, so its really useful, maybe i should also pair it with no ed. Its a perk nobody really pays attention to, and i think this perk is really well designed as it relies on the killer to make a decision on what gen to kick.
I rarely play dbd nowadays, but I sill love this long form content from this channel. Listening to this while I’m doing something or trying to sleep is a god send. Thank you for the content, Otz, love what you do!
mindbreaker is low key stronger than most people realize, at least for solo q. Not being able to see where a teammate is downed while you're working on a gen really crimps your ability to gauge the situation, and not having things like balanced landing or dead hard prepped when you need it, as well as it making it harder to restore use of them since you usually recover passively on gens...it just stops that. It's truly one of the greatest exhaustion-counters that you get free value from passively, the blindness is merely a bonus and adds tension.
Otz could honestly just reupload any previous tier list with how little the Killer meta changes, and I doubt anyone would bat an eye, but he makes several hour long videos rehashing the same stuff for our sake. What a king.
@@erikhogueable But are they actually going to be used on anyone except Nurse? No? Then it doesn't really matter. You're still gonna just run 4 slowdown.
I remember I got in the same game with you as killer family in Texas and even there you were soo good to talk to! aways love to you and your content! so much of efforts to keep it on!
Thank you for the Perk videos, Otz. They're always quite helpful and it's nice to hear the insightful commentary on them. My favorite Perk combos currently are something like Agitation and Forced Penance, since when you are carrying a Survivor every hit that you do is a protection hit on Survivors it usually means that Survivors that try to deny hook or are close enough for me to go after while "backpacking" someone will get broken. Add to it something like Thanatophobia or Terminus and it can actually be quite powerful. Goes quite well on Weskter too since he can combo Bounds on Survivors. And then for something simple Fire Up and Brutal Strength is pretty nice. Yeah not the best but at least it's fast as hell, can even surprise some Survivors sometimes.
I'm a Myers main and since his early game is weak, I find Corrupt Intervention almost a must. And since it blocks the furthest gens, that brings survivors to you, which helps overcome his slow starting movement speed.
I've been running Eruption, Friend's Til The End, No Way Out, and Surge on Lich with Iri Book and Ring of Spell Storing. It has been pretty good for me so far, pretty consistent, and between the perks and the killer it does a little bit of everything
I haven't touched DBD in years, but I'll never pass up an opportunity to watch Otz talk about the DBD meta. Dude somehow makes four hours of perk discussion fascinating to listen to.
The new Predator effect is insane on Deathslinger because when you hit an M1 and the survivor take a path that seems complicated, while you reload immediatly after an M1, you still lose quite the distance and can play around it to trigger the Predator effect, see where the survivor is going and snipe them on an angle they cannot expect.
Personally, I like Rapid Brutality on Knight. You get your first hit by pincering a survivor with a guard. Usually knight gets the hit because survs don’t want to risk the double hit down. Since summoning a new guard isn’t practical, sending a guard mid chase will often give the survivor more distance, use rapid to secure the second hit instead since it can be the trickiest to get.
Dear Otz, thanks for the great video. Ive learned so much from you since I startet watching your guides and videos. I hope you read this comment, its just a huge thank you! You are the BEST !

Distressing - (rework) your terror radius becomes 6/8/10 metres bigger. Survivors in your terror radius become nervous, causing skillchecks to shake on screen, ominous sounds for the survivors, and may randomly hear a close terror radius.
(Seems fun and its effects are basekit on doctor anyway so its not OP on him)
Horder - (rework) Spawn an additional empty chest in the basement.
(Fitting for its name, but most survivors will just forget about even trying to get them back)
Call of Brine - after kicking a generator, it becomes highlighted in yellow. It will regress at a 160%/180%/200% rate so long while no one is repairing it. This effect lasts until you kick another generator.
If survivors on the affected generator hits a good skillcheck, receive a loud noise notification.
(Just a numbers boost and no duration timer)
Unbound - After injuring a survivor by any means, Unbound activates for 24/27/30 seconds.
Vault windows 10% faster. And apply this effect:
- gain 5% haste for 15 seconds after vaulting a window.
- gain 15% haste for 5 seconds if you vault a window again within 3 seconds.
These effects do not stack.
(Literally no clue what I did here lol)
Hangmans Trick - in addition, if a survivor sabotages a scourge hook, they scream and are inflicted with deepwound and 20% hindered for 5 seconds.
(Still not strong, but once it activates, it will be game changing)
Shadowborn - (rework) All survivors are highlighted in white when in your line of sight, becoming highly visable (especially in bushes lol).
(No longer requires a full build on doctor, it brings the doctor to everyone else)
Beast of Prey - while a survivor is in your line of sight within 16m, become undetectable, this lingers for 2/3/4 seconds.
If you gain bloodlust, this perk deactivates until the chase ends, revealing the aura of the closest injured survivor not currently in chase. The bloodlust lingers for 8 seconds after the chase ends.
(To promote the whole preying on the weak idea)
Insidious - (rework) For each second spent standing still, gain a token. Apply effects based on the number of tokens (max 5):
If you dont get the hit, just stay still again and keep the few tokens saved to try again)
Shattered Hope - (rework) you can break totems, when you break a totem it creates a rekindled totem in its place with an effect based on its type:
Boon - all survivors within 24m have their aura revealed.
Dull - all survivors within 24m suffer blindness.
Hex - all survivors within 24m become exposed.
This rekindled totem breaks after 60 seconds and cannot be rekindled.
(Still not great. But at least it has a usage now)

Been waiting on this one too ❗️❗️
Literally was refreshing every 30 minutes waiting for this to be uploaded
finally a quick bite size video i can watch on my break, thank you kindly Otz!
Vecna utilices rapid brutality really well, his chace with the hand spell becomes very scary with the speedboost if you get a hit
Just use boots of speed for the exact effect you need when using MH correctly and you can use a much stronger perk
@@mckookie2967 But with RB you can also use it with fly to move incredibly fast
@@ThyBigCheddar valid but fly still has a recovery delay that makes that boost kinda moot unless you use the add on for that which is kind of a waste imo
I still think Bamboozle is stronger cos u can just auto fly thru the window like the red add on does and force them more into a lose lose with skulls or Hand
Friends + furtive + lethal + nemesis is the most fun perk combo.
gee I've been missing these videos man, thank you!
Just commenting to let everyone know that Unnerving Presence no longer affects skill check perks like Overcharge or Oppression, as it has somewhat recently been changed to only reduce the Good skill check zone, not the Great. So checks that only have a Great zone are completely unaffected.
Impossible Check Doc has fallen
Millions must DC
Both the survivor vid and this one seemed to come out right as i’m grinding in my games, Thanks for keeping me entertained while I do Otz!
Finally a quick 4 hour video to watch on my lunch breaks ❤
I rarely play dbd nowadays, but I sill love this long form content from this channel. Listening to this while I’m doing something or trying to sleep is a god send. Thank you for the content, Otz, love what you do!
i love otz tier lists they are so useful. specifically the killer addons tierlist but literally everything he makes it amazing
I literally just finished your survivor perks video today. This is a pleasant surprise. Ty otz.
I was looking for the next thing to fall asleep too, thanks friend.
I loved this video so much that after I finished it I watched it entirely in 0.25x, good job, great points!
mindbreaker is low key stronger than most people realize, at least for solo q.
Ah, another Mindbreaker enjoyer (I prefer "Fearmonger" tho) FeelsCulturedMan
It's crazy how dedicated otz is to this game and content creation. Great video!
Otz could honestly just reupload any previous tier list with how little the Killer meta changes, and I doubt anyone would bat an eye, but he makes several hour long videos rehashing the same stuff for our sake.
What a king.
Predator, Zanshin and a bunch of other perks radically changed tiers, but go off
@@erikhogueable But are they actually going to be used on anyone except Nurse?
No? Then it doesn't really matter. You're still gonna just run 4 slowdown.
A long video I can watch during thanksgiving diner, thx otz!
I'm glad you're metaphorically here for us, Otz.
Listening to this during class makes it so much more bearable. Thanks again Otz
My glorious king finally posted a video I can watch during my lunchbreak
perfect video to watch fully during my lunch break!
Read this as Lunchly break 😔
Thank you otz! You uploaded seconds before i started eating😻
I remember I got in the same game with you as killer family in Texas and even there you were soo good to talk to!
aways love to you and your content! so much of efforts to keep it on!
Finally something i can watch while waiting for a match
The video we’ve all been waiting for!
I have to drive back from evacuating hurricane Milton. 4 hour drive, 4 hour video. Let’s go!! Good timing
Just finished survivor perks. Been listening while cooking. And now theres more content! Looovely!
I haven't played since Wesker's release. This video is actually pretty helpful for getting back into the game! Thanks Otz!
Maybe I can use that for rightful owner achievement 15 attempts deep.
will surge and eruption stack?
@@frosche9191 Yes
I haven't touched DBD in years, but I'll never pass up an opportunity to watch Otz talk about the DBD meta. Dude somehow makes four hours of perk discussion fascinating to listen to.
Thank you so much dude. The game has been very difficult for me to play as a newbie, without the knowledge of the perks.
Thank you for all the dedicated time and effort you put into these videos, your work is invaluable!
Casual 4 hour otz video❤ Thank you otz
Thank you so much for this video!
Im still prestiging all of the killers so this is great info on which to target before others.
Very informative 👏
Another insanely short video. Thanks otz
Great to know otz is leaning in to these more short form videos 👍
Nice. I didn’t plan on sleeping tonight anyway thx otz!!!😊😊
Appreciate this man for timestamping everything💯
Watching this while doing open heart surgery, thanks Otz!
Finally, a video to watch during 2v8 queues
The new Predator effect is insane on Deathslinger because when you hit an M1 and the survivor take a path that seems complicated, while you reload immediatly after an M1, you still lose quite the distance and can play around it to trigger the Predator effect, see where the survivor is going and snipe them on an angle they cannot expect.
Love it Otz! Keep up the good content bro.
It's 2am and I needed a video to play, Otz swooping in like Batman to drop it off. Appreciate the in depth analysis Otz ❤
thank god u uploaded this today 😩😩 time to procrastinate more
A Nice Short Video To Start My Day, Thank You Otz.
I watched this 10 minute old video already. great explanation of perks.
Thank you for your informative videos as always Otz! Much love!
nothing better to listen to while at work, thank mr oats

1:22:47 Otz just casually ripping out a real human heart.
Dear Otz,
thanks for the great video.
Ive learned so much from you since I startet watching your guides and videos.
I hope you read this comment,
its just a huge thank you!
You are the BEST !
I had to call in work that I’m gonna be 4 hours, 7 minutes and 8 seconds late because this popped up just as I was getting ready to work
this specific every killer/survivor perk or add-on explained/tier listed type of video from Otz is the only DBD content i watch now since taking a prolonged break starting over a year ago. THANK YOU FOR THE ABOVE AND BEYOND VIDEOS OTZ! ♥
Shortest Otz video (love u Otz
3:26:55 "-like the end of the world" ohh i like that word
I love these videos so much! Thank you so so much for your hard work Otz you are a gem to the DbD community 💛
