- Best Method for Sephiroth final fight. The same tactic can be used for the other 4 fights as well. Just make sure to always use the right elemental damage for some of the bosses. Build at the end of the video.
IMPORTANT: The trick which makes this mehtod workes the best and almost 100% of the time after testing this is, you have to chose Aerith as your First character at the start of the challenge, so the combo works as fast as possible. (If you don't chose Aerith as first character, she will always auto attack at the start of every round and this will slow down setting up her ATB ward). Right when the round is about to start, spam X or R2 as fast as possible to open the ability menu as fast as possible. Then use ATB ward on Aerith, Haste with Tifa on Yuffie and then swap to Yuffie. Then charge up ATB for the other characters and use Firaga with Tifa immediately to stun Sephirot so he doesn't chain stun anybody. You basically won if you got your first Firaga out. Then rinse and repeat Firaga spam with both characters until hes staggered. Keep in mind if you don't kill him in the stagger phase, you have to use Ice (Blizzaga) after that to kill him. With Fire he would get healed. - เกม

Managed to finally beat him with this strategy. I used Barrett instead of Tifa but it worked out the same in the end. Thanks for the explanation!

I originally broke down and used this strat (about a week or so back now) because I finally got good enough to beat Gilgamesh and then found out that Sephiroth requires perfect-blocks down to a science and my old-man reaction times couldn't handle it. It wasn't a case of even getting to him and learning from my loss, it was literally just dying to the same BS every time. Perfect-blocks should be for style, speed, efficiency, or challenge runs. It should NOT be a mandatory thing you need to finish the content, and having done everything else, Virtual Sephiroth is literally the ONLY fight in the entire game that absolutely requires it (when not using a cheese-strat anyway).
Side note: if you cheese this then "Bonds of Friendship" becomes the hardest challenge in the game, as it has a set party, and unlike "To Be a Hero" Cloud's ally is weaker than him, but it can be done without perfect-blocks, though if you happen to get a few on accident along the way they can make the fights a bit easier. I find that Bonds of Friendship is more appropriate for the difficulty of what a super-boss fight should be (still harder than the hardest challenge in part 1 though, probably because it's 10 rounds, as a couple other of the 10 round challenges are also harder than the Top Secrets challenge from ff7r part 1). For both "Bonds of Friendship" and "To Be a Hero" if you take the time to learn the mechanics of your only ally, then they become much more doable.
I dont mind perfect block being a mechanic....IF i could just practice on Sephiroth, but yeah having to go through 4 rounds just to get to him really slowed my progress- It's like bro i've killed all of you numerous times now...just let me fight the dude that's giving me a hard time XD
@@MrLightlike78 I'm fine with perfect block being a mechanic, I just don't think it should be mandatory to complete content in a JRPG (for style/challenge, etc. great, but not my Play Log).
I did it! I finally did it! This is THE guide to beating Sephiroth. Thank you! You deserve way more views. I kept getting to Sephiroth quickly but then losing time and time again to him and having to restart and waste to much time. You were right, once you get the wards up and an Aerith firaga off, you've pretty much won. My quest for Platinum continues thanks to your guide.

DUDE! I’ve been stuck on this challenge for almost 2 weeks. Your advice cruised me through the whole thing 1st try. The biggest takeaway was haste-magnify. I’m naming my first born after you! 🙏👶🏻

The fact Sephiroth is total bs and we have to go through the 4 previous rounds just to get another attempt at him makes me furious. Gilgamesh is also bs as he moves around way too much and his laser beam is almost impossbile to react to. And the bosses AI can be so random sometimes or target a character you are not controlling, making some fights frustrating as your party members can just die suddenly. Also no i-frames for synergy abilities is kinda stupid and they can miss so easily, especially with bosses like Phoenix or teleporting enemies. This challenge is miserable and cranked up to stupid difficulty just for the sake of making it hard af.
I tried the Tifa divekick strat and it works well and makes it fast until round 4 where Gilgamesh just does way too many unblockable attacks and is too fast. Gonna try this and hope it will work.!
Thanks for the upload! Question: When using Brumal Form, Yuffie’s ATB doesn’t decrease but stays at two full bars. When I do this, her ATB slowly drops with each use, and I have to fill it back up with attacks, which wastes time. Any idea how yours stays at two full bars?

How is Yuffie disappearing into clouds like that. I don't remember that being her dodge move or it increasing the ATB of other party members when she does it

how easy are the first 4 rounds with this?
The first 4 rounds are very easy with this strat, that's why only showed Sephirot who is the hardest part.
I actually found the first 3 rounds the harder than the last two because there are two bosses you have to watch out for at a time, but still easier than any other strat.
Why you didn’t show the other fight ?
They work the same as shown here. They are not that difficult and i didn't show it because there are already a few videos out. Most people just struggle with Sephiroth.
