- Sat Chit Anand which literally translates to "existence, consciousness, and bliss”, is a cornucopia of various elements from the past from a myriad of cultures, geographies, eras, and styles. Designed for the designer’s mother, it epitomises grandeur and opulence in a compact site of mere 2,040 sq. ft.
The exterior façade is a beautiful collage of old doors and windows on a white canvas, juxtaposed with a maximalist aesthetic on the interiors. A grand foyer leads into an anteroom which flows into a grand double heighted living room. Browns and Beiges are layered with an eclectic selection of materials, furniture, and décor, in varied hues and textures. The southern wall is plastered with various windows sourced from the past, letting in enough light as well as creating a voluptuous drama in the space.
One of the most beautiful spaces in the house is a double-height stained glass window that adorns the southern and eastern walls of the dining room. It is made using the transoms of old doors from the chawls of Mumbai. The private spaces are distinguished using subtler shades and textures and spatially segregated to allow sufficient privacy.

The use of vintage elements, the syntax of space, reuse of various materials, and a cohesive balance in maximalism are some key highlights of the project. The designer walks around the house giving an insight into how he channelled his love for yore and his vigour for collecting and preserving elements of the past into this artistic abode.

Brilliant,It was so nice to see so much creativity and warmth.
His taste and way of conveying and portray the things is quite unique and so much of our heritage, which gives u the vibe which u get when u go and visit old architectural monuments in our country and it totally coherent with my taste as well......and the one more thing which i observed in this video is that he and his family walk through out the video on bare foot, which u can see as is very common in south India rather than north and is very Indian as we Indians treat our houses as Ma Lakhmi ka nivas.....which is one of the reason why we leave out footware outside the home and the other reason is to get rid of the germs that our. footware carries while walking outside on roads.

My o my, one of the most beautiful houses ever seen. Loved every single decor aspects and layout. Pretty much like Victorian themed with Indian undertones. The ceilings hung doors and mirror panels is just another level of creativity. So moody and cozy & definitely a place to kickstart conversations/gatherings. If I was there I'd have every walls/nooks instragammable. Good job buildofy uploading & sharing Us this beaut space.

Masterpiece. Very close to Moroccan n Turkish style house. The designer of the house has put his every bit in this house. I mean he has invested himself mentally emotionally physically and financially in this house. One has to go interestingly mental behind his heart n soul then only such a masterpiece occurs. It's a real Wow❤ moment for viewers. Salute to the creator of the dream house

Not at all practical, difficult to keep the place tidy all the time since it's too much stuffed with antiques 😢
In my opinion, No matter how much this house portrays a strong character of antique, rustic, grandeur, old etc…to me a huge thing lacking is the natural element and that is a huge drawback which makes it look dingy,stuffy & less vibrant.
