I love that he felt the need to put three layers of spikes for *two* pokemon leaving you 373638 turns to setup and then didn't believe he lost
Not to mention that one of those two pokemon had magic guard
@@priceprice_baby Clefable couldn’t have magic guard, we saw it take poison damage. My guess is unaware instead to stop step up.
And Jirachi took damage from spikes and would have Serene grace anyways

Clefable is basically ALWAYS a baton pass. Why would you waste time with three turns worth of spikes just letting them build up their stat boosts? This dude threw in the first four moves of the game.
If he was a true NPC, he would've spammed an offensive move in order to win when it actually counts because Temp has a bit of a tendency of setting up his mons before attacking.
This guy learned that Temp was a hyper-offensive guy last time so he just chose to stall just to win but it wasn't enough.
TBF, no guarantee it would have hit.
I'm amazed that Will O' Wisp landed with all of that Evasion.

I believe will-o-wisp is perfect accuracy on ghost types. A few moves get a boost on certain types. Toxic has perfect accuracy on poison types for instance.

Yes.
You wished for character development. He resigned his fate when he wasn't able to prevent Temp from setting up his buffs for Jirachi.
The guy made qugsire's face when he realized Jirachi had stored power
He also made the Quagsire face when he discovered that his ability just ignored the stats instead of outright negating them
Not knowing that it doesn't work on Stored Power, a move MADE for Stat boosts
I can see where he's coming from in believing it should stop Stored Power. He's coming from a wrong place but it's understandable how he got there.
Even if it worked, Stored Power would still hit like a truck just having the Evasion, Speed and Defense boosts, like 200-220, which I believe is the case unless someone corrects me please, because unaware only ignores the stats of attack, precision and special attack when receiving damage. Still, a Stored Power after two boosts of Ancient Power is scary as hell.
@@juanjosedelpinorivas7099 The opponent seemed to believe that Unaware was like a passive version of Haze. So if it worked, Stored Power would have been at its base power of 20.

After playing Showdown for a while I’ve learned any time I see a “weak” team I know I’ll lose.
I don’t always lose but it’s easier to accept it before it actually happens.
It rarely works. It looks impressive if you see only the times when it does.
However, most people complain 'bout that Champion Cynthia's Pokemon Team is too strong. I still don't see the issue how is her Team strong at all.
Yet the other teams in Showdown are either memes, weird, OP, or shallow even they all have quite a gimmick of their own.
This dilemma is kinda bothering me though.
@@xxx_jim_the_reaper_xxx i think it’s because probably no one actually comp trained their mons when they were playing through DPPt for the first time and also the lack of the Fairy type made it harder to deal with some of her team. Also no one expected her to have a competitive team for BDSP.
I think it was just a big jump from the previous battles.

edit: that and the deoxys clearly able to finish off the clefable with another seismic toss + tox damage and choosing another layer of spikes instead is pretty sus

I often say GG early, but it's always when I think I've lost and they can easily sweep me. Then for some reason the opponent misplays and I end up back in the match, making it awkward.
You just feel the stress and panic with every ancient power.

This is why I always go with as few "setup" moves as possible. If a move has a power of 0 it's a priority for replacement. That doesn't mean I always go for the most powerful, though. I like to use less powerful moves that either hit multiple times or also grant effects. It seems to work for me.

Jirachi is op honestly. I used him as my starter basically in brilliant diamond. Swept almost the whole elite four with him using leftovers

@@quertiywop5856 that toxic change was in gen 6. Thunder wave was 100% accurate before gen 7, now it is only 90. This is Game Freak we are talking about they always make some changes from gen to gen.
