Good information. The toolpath is fairly limited in my opinion, but it is for sure something that was missing until now. One of the hard parts is that there is no solid 4 axis roughing solution, so you have the rough 3+2 before finishing 4 axis.

Agreed, all it needs is a depth of cut feature and then it could be condensed to a single operation.
I did wonder about using it with a high stock to leave, and then doing repeat rotary strategies at varying depths until the part is finished.

There is an option to use this operation for roughing too please see my comment just above this

Hi! nice news! Any plans for 4axis Swarf for helical slots machining? (no, it's not possible to do that with 2d pocket and wrap toolpath)

Error:This post configuration has not been customized for 5-axis simultaneous toolpath. Any hint? thanks

Can you help me friend? My milling simulation is not showing the material removed, only the cutter around the model. Does not show the initial cylinder.

It is strange the developers have only set this operation up as a finishing operation that has no step down in the menu and the internet is full of people asking how they can do the initial roughing. There is actually an indirect option to this as one can simply split it up in separate operations starting with a high amount of AXIAL STOCK TO LEAVE and then gradually reduce this from operation to operation down to zero for the finishing pass

That is not the same, I want roughing to remove material in the hard to reach area's. You are suggestion to just run the same operation multiple time, which still leaves material in this hard to reach area's and it cuts a lot of air in parts that are easy to reach

Is it still the same in 2023? Fusion 360 still don't have a depth of a cut option?

What about feed screw machining? (in continuous)

Do you have Fusion360 postprocesor to Mach3?

Hello, can this be done in inventor cam?

how long before this is fixed? its a waste of time and money to only have a finishing tool path. Mucking around with stock to leave is not a suitable workaround for step down and roughing strategy

Problem is, this works fine on the simulator, but try outputting a GCode file and see how far you get...!

Does it generate a usable code or...?
I'm planning on usuing this on my Haas VF mill soon.
