Traveling to china is so much easier than 30 yr ago when I first visited huangshan tianmen mountain emei mountain is not like today with high speed train cable car escalator and even outdoor elevator in zhangjijiang china government are spending a lot of money to develop many ancient rural city for tourists.
Chinese government is smart, sincerely serving the people and nation. They spend money smartly building world class infrastructures for the people to have a better life. Instead of spending money supporting wars. We are blessed to have such a good government that works very hard to improve our life and our nation.
Have you ever been to Wuxi, a city next to Suzhou, on the third largest lake in China, Lake Taiho, with the grand canal running through the city center, and has one of the largest cherry blossom in the world and one of the tallest buddha statue?
Both of those places were on our list! We never could get visas to visit Tibet due to the pandemic, and the one time we tried to go to Xinjiang we couldn’t go because of the virus 😫 As soon as we go back to China these will be on our list!!
@@JamesandKeli Xinjiang is full open means you can just grab a ticket and go there. Tibet is open But only to group tourist which means you have to find a travel agent, but other than that it's no problem. BTW certain border area are closed to foreigners. Check with the local hotel stuff before go.
My favorite places in China are Nalati Grassland, and Bayinbulak Swan Lake in Xinjiang. Conghua in Guangdong Sanya, Wanning in Hainan. Anji, Zhejiang Xishuangbanna in Yunnan, Jiuzhaigou in Sichuan. Luoyang in Henan. Datong, Pingyao in Shanxi, Dalian, Panjin in Liaoning...So many places need a whole life time to explore.
As a Chinese local person, you guys visited more places than I did, that's incredible!I love Suzhou most and I have been there for 2 times, but I still think I have to explore this 3rd and 4th time, worth a go!Suzhou city is the water garden and very historical with nice food!
13.6% of China is covered by desert,if you are interested in deserts or artificial oases, maybe you can visit the following cities: Ordos,Inner Mongolia; Zhongwei,NINGXIA ; Alxa League,Inner Mongolia; Wuwei,Gansu; CHIfeng,Inner Mongolia; Ha'mi,Xinjiang or more......etc you can feel the miracle of the struggle between human and nature.

Dunhuang was built FROM 4th century TO 14th century. Please correct your information. It was built in the silk road map.😊
That was a mistake on our part. It should be 4th century 😊
