There is a situation where u might wanna not shoot b4 throwing the stickies tho. If they're really far away and unaware of ur position, remember the travel time for the stickies is much slower than the primary and at a distance there will b a bigger delay between the first primary and the follow up sticky so that might give them time to react and strafe away. Otherwise yes always shoot first b4 using them
Yes good point! As an Echo you wanna stay undetected for as long as possible before committing to an engage / hopeful damage burst.

Hold to flight should be on if you want carpel tannel
The other tips are fine
The thing about having hold to fly on, is that it gives you your cooldown back quicker. Something he failed to mention.
The flight set to on is why I see how echos stay in the sky so long❤ thanks
I play on console with a scuff controller and the hold for flight button just makes her flight ability basically useless
The scuff controller isn’t relevant but nice flex. The tech launches you higher and instantly starts the flight cooldown instead of waiting for flight to end but it’s all situational. If you’ve ever played apex you know how important a little extra burst of speed can be sometimes it’s all about context

Did not know about the hold to fly, I’m an idiot.
I always just tap shift twice for a high jump and forward fast glide. I suppose the hold for flight option is so that you only have to tap once and is way faster. Like the Mercy option where you hold shift and letting go of it to not fly all the way. But holding always feels awkward to me whether with Echo or Mercy. I just prefer the double tap.

You could have the best of both worlds with movement if you just use the space bar
If you hit alt+F4 just before hitting shift you'll get a massive speed boost too.
The only bad advice here is shooting your primary before you use the sticky ability. The Primary fire is a lot faster moving than the stickies. You would draw attention early enough for them to see you coming. Nulifying the element of surprise. Doing this at a close distance is alright but its more nuanced than do it every time
Fair enough, I see it as extra dmg, I dont really mind if the enemy sees where im coming from, as long as i get that extra dmg in im good lol

If you’re being sneaky with sticky bombs don’t shoot primary first unless you’re really close, that little shot gives them a bit more time to react

Problem with hold to fly is that with your pinky on shift you can't hit ctrl to decrease altitude. So you have to rebind crouch if you use that setting. Also the discomfort of holding shift during flight just isn't worth it for the boost move anyway, IMO
You get your cooldown back faster so it’s worth doing. I’m also one for having Alt to crouch instead of Ctrl as its a much nicer control scheme for games.

It’s hard to hold for flight on a controller while also aiming, dodging, etc. Could you get the same speed burst jump by double tapping the flight button so you cancel it out?

On a squishy, just land ur stickies on them they should be easy kills regardless. Only on zarya if avoid stickying cos of her bubble (same with tracer pulse bomb)

Idk about the first one, I mean it works but it really throws off your aim. I stopped doing it and my sticky accuracy is way higher, I would say only do it if ur sneaking up in someone.

it’s not that hard when you know how to position yourself as echo, as pharah though… that hitscan better be horrible on the other team

These tips are honestly… fine? Kinda meh. This stuff won’t turn you into a killing machine, they’ll make you about 5% better if you already play the hero well.
Shitty little 3 tip reels are all the rage right now but the things that’ll really help you improve aren’t here, because these ‘3-clips creators’ aren’t actually any good. All their videos are in controlled lobbies.

Echo requires no skill to play
The settings tip about the hold to fly is wrong, echo don't go faster because you push instead of hold with that setting but because jumping at the same time as you start to fly makes you dash as the first video exemple, and in the second exemple you just don't jump
Here is an other real tip for you, echo go faster upward if you dont move horizontaly, that's how you can stay in the air forever with echo by alternating moving and not moving to go highter while dodging cause your speed is irregular, going forward and backward is a little bit slower than doing nothing and going to the side will prevent you from going higher
