    List of questions with timestamps:
    02:02 - What is the relationship between the reflected consciousness and pure consciousness?
    18:30 - When we obtain knowledge of true consciousness, how is it that we continue to experience the current reality?
    27:00 - Are the scriptures useless with regard to swadharma?
    32:46 - How can we keep children involved with spiritual concepts?
    37:11 - If the universe is continuously rising and falling, is the universe something different from the Atman?
    44:14 - How can we resolve the conflict between our spiritual journey and responsibilities in daily life?
    55:28 - Which is correct, Jiva is Shiva, or everything is a dream?
    59:58 - Is all this philosophy just something that has been fed to us?
    01:06:00 - How can we define God for a young person?
    01:14:26 - What is the relationship between a pure mind and a scattered mind?

    Very curious I was born and lived in this kind of Island to which one of the questioner refers for the first 36 years of my life That was the Island of Cuba where all religión education had been wiped out since 1959 For mi Hinduism and Buddhism ware exotic words in which some very “primitive Anti scientific people very far away”were still believing The word Advaita Vedanta was totally unknown to me. For me the purpose of life was to study and to get a career that would allow me to buy some good goods and beers to enjoy during the week ends. Thanks God suffering hit me very hard little by little until at present with 67 years of age I can’t sleep a single night without reading viewing or meditating something about Advaita Vedanta Spirituality or non Dualism For me The videos with the teachings of Swami Sarvapriyananda are one of the greatest blessings for our present day humanity

    We introduced our child with Amarchitra Katha books and now he loves them. His Sunday school also included them in curriculum when we suggested them.

      @praneelraja 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would advise you to be a bit careful. Amarchitra kata foundation has been bought by a christian org about 3 years back. I dont know if it was strategic step from them because amarchitra katha books are known to keep hindu kids hooked in hinduism... Oflate amarchitra katha is promoting Jesus and Christmas too.

    Thank you Swami Sarvapriyananda for your Great Kindness for sacrificing your life out of love for the Truth. Would you agree that without a desire to know the Truth, Advaita Vedanta cannot be grasp, like without the desire to know how to walk, we would be crawling?

      Mumuksuthva - the intense burning longing desire for liberation, freedom and self-realisation, along with shadsampat (6 qualities), is essential to grasp the truth. You could read more about it on the internet.

    Pranam Maharaj 🙏🙏🙏
    Jai Shree Ramakrishna
    It has been a great solace to listen to your speeches. i deeply aspire to dedicate this life for Spiritual Sadhana and to get closer to God as much as possible.
    But there is a big obstacle in my Spiritual path which is dragging me again n again into negativities each time i progress a little.
    Since childhood i ve been a helpless victim of blackmagic n crooked tortures from my elder brother n his wicked guru. That has caused health problems in my body , mind and has ruined my social life.
    And now with the help of some durmanthravadins , astrologers n oraganizations he is trying to trap me and put me in assylum. Within a week he may succeed in it and if he does, he will destroy me so badly that i would never be able to do any Spiritual Sadhana in this life.
    i am in big trouble. Please help and bless me Swamiji , to be shifted to a secure place to stay protected from his men... where i can pursue my Spiritual Goal more deeply.
    Humbly seeking Your blessings.
    🙏 OM

    It takes "cheek" to even write this since I am no-not-nary-anyhow any Godel, but your comment reminded me that when in advanced calculus class in college i submitted an equation (I think) I called the proof of God's existence. I do think it involved taking time down to the instant, and God was what joined instant to instant. It was fun. I didn't discover "spirituality" until some years later.

    Here is the exact quote from William Styron’s book, “Darkness Visible: A Memoir of Madness:”
    “I had now reached that phase of the disorder where all sense of hope had vanished, along with the idea of a futurity; my brain...had become less an organ of thought than a instrument for registering, minute by minute, varying degrees of its own suffering. (page 58)
    And [I experienced]...a curious inner convulsion that I can describe only as a despair beyond despair. It came out of the cold night; I did not think such anguish possible.” (page 64)

    A minor technical correction, IAS is independent from Princeton U. IAS is really as amazing as swami described it. If you put the two (Princeton U and IAS) together, I cannot think of any other place on earth which has such a concentration of the best mathematical minds. A piece of Fields medal trivia: The only two persons of Indian ancestry who have been awarded the Fields medal are both in Princeton (Manjul Bhargava at Princeton U and Akshay Venkatesh at IAS). The only other person of Indian origin who came close to winning the Fields medal (in the 1950s) was Harishchandra. He was also at IAS

    When ultimately its ( ref con) not true.
    What is the harm in not thinking of it or avoiding it.

  • @Acode7940

    My memory of what Styron wrote is that he reached a place so dark that even thought did not exist. It was then that he considered suicide. It was a long period of darkness (thought?) he went through culminating in a moment or so of utter void...not just the train wreck of a long period of reckless or negative thinking. Some suicides seem the result of the absence of thought PLUS the absence of any sense of Being.

    • @Acode7940
      @Acode7940 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@spiritualseeker. From my point of view, since I cannot state absolutely for sure he experienced absence of thought (I just really believe thought was not involved at those moments), we could use another metaphor and state that, looked at from the point of view of the time/space/causation universe(s), there is a point "when" God is incarnating as a human in which "he" loses his sense of self (Being) but has not yet taken on the instrument through which he experiences himself as a human--the sense organs/mind. All humans have this point in the background of their journey into humanness, but only a very small portion of them ever experience it. We experience Either/Or and Styron experienced Neither;/Nor-- a terrible experience. This is the model I have for clinical depression . There are, of course, other reasons people have for committing suicide. Blessings.

    Hey guys, I just wanted to point out that soul and ego are the same thing. If we're talking about souls, we're talking about egos. If the soul is real, the ego is real and cannot be removed and there is no illusion of separateness but a REALITY of separateness if each person is a mind and soul.

    • @sharauro
      @sharauro 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nope kind sir. It's different. Also in vedanta there is nothing like the soul. Soul can be interpreted in vedanta as the suskhma sharira in which ego is only a component.

    You have been in Deoghar. But you have never mentioned about Thakur Anucool chandra, the another spiritual luminary after Sri Ramakrishna.

    Before Columbus the horizon seemed to be the end of the world After Columbus the horizon still seemed to be the end of the world but the knowledge that there were other lands after the horizon produced a huge change in the perspective of Europeans I think that the same should happen with the enlightened sage

    The reason I comment on Styron is that when people speak of suicides as the result of some form only of negative thinking, they trivialize suicide and what led to it. We all know depression; we do not all know clinical depression such as Styron went through. Clinical depression is a different animal than want or lack thoughts. It is of a different magnitude. I don't remember Styron wondering later why he even thought of suicide. The reason he wrote the book was to try to make available to others the intensely dark and void territory that is clinical depression.
