    The comeback mechanic with loser moves last seems really cool. Seems like much less snowball potential than a lot of other games with how powerful positioning is.

    Very neat. I like that there's a lot of potential for back and forth turns. Makes you feel like that you can figure a way out rather than being completely bodied, though I am sure that could happen.
    Definitely worth adding to my wishlist!

    So if I am seeing this right. It is like DND. Outside of specific tactical scenarios/units, it is better for units to focus fire one at a time as much as possible as a unit that is alive deals as much damage at 10% health as 100% if they are alive for same number of rounds

    While I like the basic structure of auto battlers a lot the fact that most force you to make complex decisions in just a few seconds really turns me off. I think one of the main reasons Super Auto Pets became a cult hit is the lack of time pressure.

    • @Retromation

    • @cooljaedan
      @cooljaedan 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      for me its the exact opposite, games like this are inherently simple, not at the start but once you put a dozen hours into them the decisions are too easy to make. adding speed to the skill set required to win just raises the skill ceiling

    • @TripleOmega
      @TripleOmega 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@cooljaedan I've seen players of various auto battlers struggle with decisions at the highest levels of play. Maybe you're extremely good at them, but generally speaking I wouldn't call these games easy even after a lot of time investment. Also I don't really want to invest dozens of hours before I can finally start enjoying a game. I'm glad you like it though.

    Are autobattlers the next roguelite? YES. THEY BETTER BE!
    This does look sick though, nice find dude :)
    Edit: You've been putting out a lot of content lately, and it's sick. I hope you don't forget to take time for yourself though man, you deserve that. And we'll still be here I promise! Although *_the algorithm_* ~sp0oky halloween noises~ might not take too kindly to that.. I suppose that's the price we pay when we let the robits do the human jobs!

      @@E942-h2d Is gacha just how people decided the word "gotcha" should be spelled when it comes to P2W nonsense? Always been a little confused on that one. I know what the word means, but I _absolutely hate it_ when I can't figure out a words etymology!
      To answer your question (and for anyone else reading this comment who is curious), yes, it technically does have a store and P2W mechanics. That said, from what I can tell the game is on the less egregious side of things; most of the reviews say it is definitely "free to win", meaning you can absolutely do it without paying any money [it just might not be as fun as a game that designed to have these lame mechanics].
      Looks neat, but I'm not going to play it because I refuse to play P2W games on principle. The only way they're going to stop making games like that is if games like that stop making them the most money.
      I'm not sure many people remember, but that very short window of time when mobile gaming first became a thing but they hadn't figured out P2W mechanics yet... those were a glorious couple years. Sure, you had to pay a dollar (or three) for the game you wanted, but that's _all you ever had to pay._ And the games were actually designed to be fun, not siphon maximum amounts of cash from simpletons :/ Makes me kinda sad thinking about what could have been!
      Edit: Ok so I looked it up, it comes from the word _Gashapon_ in SD Gundam Gashapon Wars, which was one of the early games to implement a P2W mechanic. In that case, you had to buy a real life Gundam action figure (probably not the right word plz don't kill me Gundam fanbois!) to unlock the in-game playable character. Totally unrelated, but I thought it was interesting and I figured someone else might too!

      @@E942-h2d yes. but its not like a pvp focused game so you can kinda just vibe and bide your time to get stuff.though yeah it does have lots of micro transactions and gacha shit, without that its still a fun and viable game.

      @@idontwantahandlethough Gashapon machines are ones were you pay to get a capsule and you don't know what's iside until you open it. "The word 'Gashapon' is onomatopoeic from the two sounds "gasha" for the hand-cranking action of a toy-vending machine, and "pon" for the toy capsule landing in the collection tray." When going into virtual gaming, games with the mechanic of "rolling" to obtain playable characters from a pool with different odds are called gasha games.

    Just tried it, didn't like it. 4 casual matches if you lose your first round the opponent have more resources than you. Then they just snowball from there.

    • @Retromation
      @Retromation  2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      I've won over 85% of my games and I have lost round 1 in half of them, so this just isn't true. It is fine you don't like it, but the advantage of moving units *after* the opponent is _colossal,_ you just need to know what you're doing with those moves. There is less RNG to hide behind than a traditional auto-chess game.
