That's a bit of an overstatement, but yeah, someone should have double checked considering it's a one million plaque.
When a creator reaches a certain amount of subscribers (1M in Maria's case), you get an email to claim your prize (the button) from a link that redirects you to a website where you enter *whatever* name you want printed on the glass, and I mean ANYTHING. Maybe Maria mistyped when she was entering her channel name, but TH-cam really has a wonky system in claiming these. Although, this doesn't change the fact that Maria deserves all the success! 💖

... aaah that's not ok! I hope you see about getting the plaque replaced, I know things happen but they should send you in a corrected plaque!!
They give those for free and it take 6 months to get so I wonder if it would even be possible or worth having replaced. Personally I would just try to fix it myself by painting the R or if it's actuall glass and the letters are painted I would try to erase the ASM and just keep Gentle Whispering. Perhaps she could also just change her channel name to Gentle Whispering ASM. lol

Not that it matters but I don't think that's true, Darling was over 1 mill when Maria hit, but for many this channel has better quality, emotiveness, a genuine feel and more importantly did it without being exposed on other giant channels. All part of the same community though. Maria is the Queen of ASMR anyway and it's defacto face, no one can say otherwise.

Rachel Bunny your probably find that the button plague making is automated and that the title of the TH-camr is limited to a certain amount of characters by the algorithm, so the R being missed out on the ASMR part would be a result of this, that is my guess at least. Please don’t call it OCD. It’s a difficult disorder that causes a lot of suffering for those diagnosed, and joking about it creates misconceptions. When those with OCD try to talk about it, they are judged for being “crazy” or as having “severe” OCD because people make jokes about what it is. Even in “less severe” cases of OCD, sufferers cannot live daily lives normally without a lot of anxiety and the repetitiveness and obsessions drive many to suicide.

McSnezzly I completely understand your point of view as it is a horrible thing, but Rachel didn't mean to cause offense by it, it is said actually that most people have a very mild case of OCD which will cause the reaction from Rachel, however I hope your getting through OCD if it was a personal post and if not then I still hope your getting through life
