Andre "Black Nerd" thanks for making this video. I worked at toysrus from August of last year up to the end and between the nasty customers and the memories it was hard. Seeing customers like you and Bruno over at mmprtoys it reminds me what enjoy I brought to the people that cared plus being Geoffrey for the guests. So again thank you
Dr Wub I’m glad that the toys r us gone waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Toys R Us is still in 🇦🇺, but in it's final days. The clearance sale is currently at 40% markdown, but I'm going to wait until it's at '$100 a head & take what you can carry'.
My last Toys-R-Us trip was last December. My little sisters wanted plush Porgs from Star Wars: The Last Jedi, & they were sold out in the 4 other stores where I looked! Toys-R-Us (which was a half-hour drive from my house) saved me that Christmas.😢
I'm sad that Toys R Us closed down. I remember my parents would take me there to get me video games, toys, board games, and the most nostalgic thing for me, BIONICLE!!!!
Yeah. Besides with me, Bionocle was hugely popular in the late 90s to the late 2000s. Hell it's an important part of Lego's history since it actually saved them from bankruptcy and shutting down
Snowpaws Shaw yes they did it got so many shows Spinoffs and movies also a lot of LEGO sets with video game apps I never really liked it but it was cool sad people forgot that it even existed
Western Echidna In the time before time on the mysterious island of Mata Nui. Six canisters washed ashore on the golden beach, new and powerful legends were born.
I'm so depressed. I'll miss Toys R Us. I have memories when my dad would drive me and mom to 87th right near the Dan Ryan exit in Chicago. Toys: He-Man sword, Nintendo with video games, Connect Four, Wheel of Fortune, and NFL football board game with a VHS tape...that...I never understood, a Nerf golf set, and a few other small things. It's been almost 30 years since I stepped foot in a store. I regret I never made an effort to find one to step foot in as an adult just for memories sake. I wish I had children to take to that store like my parent did for me. 😢 My inner child is crying. ........... S#!t. I need a drink. 🥃🥃🥃🥃🥃🥃🥃
Toys R Us was the best. I went there for all my action figures, video games, and even my bike and scooter. So many things from my childhood were brought into my life from Toys R Us. It’s a sad day.
My mom worked there. When she came home from her last day yesterday, she gave my brothers and I some little things that were left over, including Toys R Us shirts.
It is quite sad. I remember the first toy I got from that store was a Data Bonder from Beetleborgs. It was one of my favorites along with Power Rangers. This is now making me regret not to get the last toy from the store. I am now disappointed in myself. But I will remember the great things from my childhood to today. Always and will be a Toys "R" Us kid.
I am a Toys 'R' Us employee (at least I was until Saturday) and It's been incredibly emotional to witness the fall of our beloved store. I am a toy guy so to see my go-to place for Transformers and LEGO close down was heart-wrenching. I'm glad you could go one last time. Thanks for always being a Toys 'R' Us kid!
Toys 'R' Us Canada was purchased by a Canadian company and they're sticking around. They even did an advertisement campaign to remind people they were still there. They have a big press released on their website about it. So I hope that you'll get to swing by Canada soon! You can visit Toys 'R' Us then! :D
Toys R Us was the first place that I bought the Yugi starter deck, which changed my life so much, bonded with alot of my friends through the game. Goodbye Toys R Us, you will be missed.
Usually what I got at Toys R Us when I was a kid it was either Power Rangers or Dragon Ball Z it does suck the Toys R Us is gone for good but on the bright side of this Maybe KB Toys can take Toys R Us place and bring back the stores
It's likely that Gamestop will be next on the list of brick and mortar retail stores to end. Online shopping is taking over much of the retail industry.
It's a catch 22. If brick and mortar stores actually carried stock and weren't horrible to go to, they'd survive. There's increasingly no reason to go to physical stores when they do nothing to stand out anymore.
I remember walking the aisles, making my Christmas list every year RELIGIOUSLY. Maybe got one or two things from it but Toys R Us will forever be missed 😭
At Toys R Us, I would only by games, marvel legends, Tmnt, and Transformers. The only thing that I do every time I get there is to play with that Thomas table. I'm sorry, but I love trains.
I don't have too many nostalgic Toys R Us memories since my family always bought toys at cheaper stores like Walmart. But in elementary school my best friend's mom was a manager at our local Toys R Us. She always came through with the great deals and even took our Game Boys to the store one day and got us Mew in our copies of Pokemon a whole night before that promotion went public. RIP Toys R Us.
I was a toys r us employee right to the very end. I was there for a year. It is very sad as a patron that Toys R Us is dead in the U.S. but imagine working there. Saying goodbye to the place I called home for a full year was difficult. Also saying goodbye to the team members that I bonded with was emotional.
That photo of Jeffrey was taken in Nashua N.H. I was there it was a friend of mine that worked for TOYS R US for 14 and a half years my buddy Tim Howell. RIP TOYS R US!
The last Toys R Us item I bought wasn't even for me, but for my 1-year-old cousin for her birthday, because she's going to grow up not knowing about this iconic store. I bought her a Tickle-Me Elmo toy, and the first thing she did when I took it out of the box for her was hug it. It was absolutely precious. Not only that, but my fiancé had a job there until they closed their doors. She was just shelving and check out, but she also helped with events they'd hold at the store like Lego Day or Dr. Seuss readings. All the parents there loved her. And kids would always come up to her asking "What's gonna happen to Geoffry??" She made a story telling them that the TRU team was making sure he'd be sent back home with his family in Africa. I was with her on the last day and she shed a few tears. She loves kids, and loved getting to make kids happy. This is such a sad day in marketing.
Just letting you know Andre, you might want to look up the story for Kingdom hearts chain of memories before playing kingdom hearts 2, cause the opening will be a bit confusing otherwise. You don’t need to play the game, you can just find a video talking about the story of that game
Jason Dembowski Jr also, he wont get to experience the fact that epic cut scene at the end of the secret Also, off topic, how do you feel about aqua possibly bein norted?
Oh, I love how proud you are of being a Care Bro, Andre! Grumpy is far and away my favorite bear. I feel we share similar personality traits, so I can really relate to Grumpy. Yeah, I'm saddened by the loss of Toys 'R' Us, too, not only because of the memories but also because the plan to revitalize the stores with more interactivity would've been truly amazing for young families. It's such a shame they never got to implement it. Oh, well. At least we can share our Toys 'R' Us memories. Thanks for the video, Andre.
I was a bit too young for Toys R Us, back then our parents wouldn’t want to get near any toy shops because they didn’t want us to be spoiled, but I still remember walking around the isle and looking at the pretty unicorn and dog dolls with cotton candy hair. When i got old enough the Toys R Us nearby our home was already been removed, it’s exactly this but around a decades or so ago Edit: that Care Bear plush is so cute
Likewise, I lived maybe 3-5 minutes driving wise away from Toys R Us and it was awesome - lived down the street from one for 15+ years. And as a collector, I too was helping keeping it alive as well in its final years
It reminds me of a toy store named 'The Jolly Giant' here in the UK. It closed down in 2002. I miss being a small child wandering through canyons on toys and board games!
RIP my childhood. You will live forever in our hearts ToysRUs. Side note, when I was 8 I was in the New York City ToysRUs. The Jurassic Park T. Rex was there and I didn't care at all. I had never seen Jurassic Park. Now, it's my favorite movie of all time and I am kicking myself

GREAT JOB!
I'M SO PISSED! THEY EVEN TOOK DOWN THE WEBSITE! WHY COULDN"T THEY JUST SEND IT FROM THEIR OTHER STORES!?
Oh It Is A Sad Day For Fans Of Toys R Us. RIP Toys R Us 😭😭😭

Toys R Us is still in 🇦🇺, but in it's final days. The clearance sale is currently at 40% markdown, but I'm going to wait until it's at '$100 a head & take what you can carry'.

It’s sad when you really think about it. Toys R Us was a highlight in my childhood :(
My last Toys-R-Us trip was last December. My little sisters wanted plush Porgs from Star Wars: The Last Jedi, & they were sold out in the 4 other stores where I looked! Toys-R-Us (which was a half-hour drive from my house) saved me that Christmas.😢

Western Echidna You ever get that toys-r-us exclusive jumbo jug filled with random Bioncle parts?
Western Echidna In the time before time on the mysterious island of Mata Nui. Six canisters washed ashore on the golden beach, new and powerful legends were born.
Zeter Zero yes actually. My dad got me that for my birthday
You're lucky you found anything, Toys R Us near me was picked clean before I could even buy anything.
The Fan Without a Face me too
Yeah a week before this week my Toys R us was just empty shelves and a few dozen of the DragonBall Z Kamehameha launchers and thats it.
Same. Pissed me off.
I never went, but I will respect a fallen soldier.

@@kayaova4893 Me too as in ya never been to a Toys R Us or Me too as in respectin a fallen soldier?

I was heartbroken when the big one in Manhattan was taken down. Toys R Us you will be missed
Blackwing2040 When that Times Square store went belly up, it was the beginning of the end for me.
Blackwing2040 And KB Toys too :(
Been out of business since 2009.
Blackwing2040 Well, it looks like everyone has grown up. There’s no more Toys R Us, kids
We all use to say we didn't want to grow up , we were toys r us kids , but eventually in time we all had to grow up and move on , it's truly is sad .
And now Geoffrey's at the bar cursing out the competition that put him out of work :( #NeverGrowUp

RIP Toys R Us. Thank you for all the memories you've provided for every TrU kid, including me and my sister.
And everyone's inner Toys R Us kid is in mourning. RIP
Grumpy Bear singing "If You're Happy And You Know It" was perfect.
RIP Toys R Us
How wonderfully geeky and nostalgic! Used to take my son to Toys R Us when he was a youngster. It will be missed.
Toys R us will forever live in my heart 😭💞

Grumpy Bear singing "If You're Happy and You Know It" is delightfully ironic.😀
The last thing I bought at toys r us
Was two shopping carts
I remember my Grandma taking me to Toys R Us. I'd always come out of there with new toys like Star Wars Figures and Stuff.
*a NEW reason to visit or move to 🇨🇦 Canada!*
Toys R Us was the first place that I bought the Yugi starter deck, which changed my life so much, bonded with alot of my friends through the game. Goodbye Toys R Us, you will be missed.
yes just so you know Toys R Us is still active in Canada.
I want to cry. I'm going miss the place so much. It's like a friend died.
I guess we all grow up and no longer Toy R Us Kids anymore 😢
Toys R Us was part of my childhood. We will always have the memories and that is what truly matters. :)

DON'T SPEAK ON IT!! God people is lazy to get off their asses to go to a store instead of online shopping.
KB Toys is coming back!
Those Care Bears are super cool! All shiny and glittery!
You haven't uploaded so when I saw this I clicked it so fast I love you so much Andre keep it up
I'll talk about that soon... #changes
Getting the big catalog and circling what I wanted for my birthday/Christmas is something I’ll never forget. #RIPTRU
Care Bros assemble!
I remember walking the aisles, making my Christmas list every year RELIGIOUSLY. Maybe got one or two things from it but Toys R Us will forever be missed 😭
CRAAAAP!!!! I should have gone there before they closed! :(
Getting the toys r us catalog and circling the toys I wanted Santa to bring me was a big memory of Christmas and got me pumped for the holidays.
At Toys R Us, I would only by games, marvel legends, Tmnt, and Transformers. The only thing that I do every time I get there is to play with that Thomas table. I'm sorry, but I love trains.

It's one of those moments we don't appreciate something until it's too late.
U make me laugh Andre
Toys R Us maybe be gone, but in memory, it will never be forgotten.
Thumbs up if you remember the paper slips you had to bring up to the register to get your video games
#RIPToysRUs
Live your best life, Care Bro. I got a humongous Friend Bear for my 12th birthday and that thing was my friend through all my emo teen years.
Sad :( #RIPToysRUs
I literally live right behind a Toys R Us right now. I would go there 2-3 times a week. Losing it is like losing a family member. It breaks my heart.
Andre, you need to come to Canada :)
We're all Still Toys R Us Kids at Heart! 😢😢
Good Thing that Toys R Us is still Operational here in the Philippines.
Derron143 Canada too

But... but... I don’t wanna grow up.
I’m going to miss Toys R Us, it was a huge part of my childhood and I used to go there at least every Friday... I’ll always be a Toys R Us kid ; ;

What? NO Professor Coldheart? BOOOOOO!
As a kid of the 1980s, I visited this store a lot. A shame future generations will never enjoy it.
Andrew are you still a toy r us kid?? I am
Always have been. Always will be.

A moment of silence everybody to honor a store that doesn’t want to grow up but wants to be Toys”R”us kid forever! RIP Toy”R”us!
😞☹️😨😰😥😓😡
I was a bit too young for Toys R Us, back then our parents wouldn’t want to get near any toy shops because they didn’t want us to be spoiled, but I still remember walking around the isle and looking at the pretty unicorn and dog dolls with cotton candy hair. When i got old enough the Toys R Us nearby our home was already been removed, it’s exactly this but around a decades or so ago
Edit: that Care Bear plush is so cute
Likewise, I lived maybe 3-5 minutes driving wise away from Toys R Us and it was awesome - lived down the street from one for 15+ years. And as a collector, I too was helping keeping it alive as well in its final years
Videogames are usually the first thing to go anytime there’s a massive clearance sale
So long Toys R Us I’ll remember you fondly 😭
It reminds me of a toy store named 'The Jolly Giant' here in the UK. It closed down in 2002. I miss being a small child wandering through canyons on toys and board games!
WOOW! You really went all in for it on the Care Bears. The Turtle Fidget Spinner story was funny too.
ToysRus was a part of my childhood I’m sad it’s gone
RIP my childhood. You will live forever in our hearts ToysRUs.
Side note, when I was 8 I was in the New York City ToysRUs. The Jurassic Park T. Rex was there and I didn't care at all. I had never seen Jurassic Park. Now, it's my favorite movie of all time and I am kicking myself
Toys R Us can kick rocks. Working there was a nightmare.
I love Grumpy Bear... you know what always won't be there though... Toys R Us. RIP
Toy's R' Us will always be remembered...😢
as a now former toysrus employee, this video makes me happy and the last few weeks wroth it.
Ah the Care Bears. I actually still have some of the original care bear plush toys that my grandmother got me way back in the day. I've pretty much passed them onto my kids at this point, plus a couple more that were bought specifically for them when they were younger. So they have both mine and their own care bears plush toys. No shame Andre, no shame. I got you man.
Im goin to miss toysr us, i used to love looking at the christmas catalog as a kid.
