20:16 - "I would rather come prepared and have too much than not have enough" - Wisdom! When debating whether or not to take a rainsuit when going fishing my dad would always say "you can take it off if you have it, but you can't put it on if you don't have it"
The Recovery you mentioned that Matt and Paul did was the first of their work I had seen. Many years ago. Since then I have been watching all of You Utah teams doing great work and helping out your communities with great events.. Keep up the great work you all do. Thanks for taking us along.. Stay Safe and enjoy your awesome Surroundings. MWP Cosby, Tn.
The Conservation and restoration you do on your recoveries is commendable! Off-roaders should restore the damage they cause after a good time off-roading! Fill your holes and take your trash with you! Keep America Beautiful people, Mother earth will appreciate you for it! Til next time, take care, and we'll see you on the next...
I always carry a shovel and trash bags with me, that way if I spill fluids or dig a hole trying to move, I just back fill the hole and or take the soaked dirt with me and properly dispose of it.
Another great one, Robbie! That video of the recovery with Matt and the guys you mentioned was the very first one of his I saw … that led me to Paul’s channel, then yours, then Chad’s. Haven’t stopped looking since. Don’t watch TV anymore
What happened with the Crown Vic? Crazy it takes so long to go such a short distance! Always enjoy seeing the Boss! 😊 Thanks all for sharing! Have a great weekend!
It’s amazing how much open country there is out there. I’m from MA and anytime I’m out that way I absolutely love how it feels. Keep up the good work team!
Hey Robby and team, maybe Cleetus has some donor crown vics he can't use for the freedom 500 anymore that you guys can derby with. Love the videos and wish you all the best.
Awsome video guys !!...... great teamwork!..... good job on digging out the wheels.....great cam work as always !!.... thanks for putting this together for us
For those not familiar with The Boulder Mountain Range absolutely beautiful but ….. “The “Boulder” is so SO SO RUFF and rocky. The mountain range is appropriately named and awesome fishing, deer and elk hunting.
I’d love to see the new sequoia set up for off road recoveries. You’d be one of the first channels to setup a new sequoia like that and use it. This is coming from someone with a first gen sequoia and I offroad and do recoveries with it all the time here in Denver CO it’s perfect
Nice job on the recovery!! It came out pretty easy after the manual backhoe got done. 😀 I think you were right.. 75% travel and 25% job. Hope you all got home safe and sound and your backs weren't too sore!!
What a powerful recovery, all of you did!! You guys are the best in the business!! Nobody else could’ve did it better than you guys have done!!!! This recovery deserves a lot of money by far!! I’m talking $3000 minimum maybe $4000 $5000!!!!! ask the boss she will tell you!! She is always correct and that is right. Just like my wife here in Northwest Montana. Yaak Montana!! I knew the video what’s up I just didn’t have time to watch it but now I do. I love all of you guys and so does ❤ my wife ❤️ we can hardly wait to meet you guys in about a month when we come over there!!!
Well done guys. I was a bit skeptical about that first pull working, but you guys musta done some really good digging there. It's nice that you guys finally had a job where everything worked right, and nothing broke, and it was relatively easy with a good plan. Like you said, the hardest part was getting there, well the longest anyway, the digging looked kinda hard. Nice little adventure. I bet the forest service was happy to get that outta there.
Typical Boulder Mountain road and that is a paved road compared to some of the ones i used to drive on to go to some of the best fishing holes around. It is one of my favorite places to be. The views are awesome.
Robby, I think a Robby Layton riser should be on the market. Something with pieces that put together would have some a wide stance that basically is a v channel that when the vehicle has that suction on tires. Rather than pulling straight horizontal to the winch it would go up and over the v about 5 ft high and then to winch. So the winch pulls but the direction immediatly off the stuck veh would be pulling vert because of tyhe v tool its strewn over, Pull up , break the suction.
Boulder Mountain, been over it both directions several times. The last time I tried the truck stayed at top for over 10 months until the Forest Police was told by a friend to try Matt to recover. I had tried everything I could with no luck. Yes I walked out to UT12, got a ride ride back to Torrey where my camping trailer was parked, part of Matt's video and maybe Paul's. When Matt called me and offered his services I told him it would make a great video and offered to sell the truck to him it truck. He turned that down. The camera guy in the truck at the end of Matt's video was the new owner last time I see it. Is your video going to be as popular as Matt's, 8m+ that's popular. I've joked that's because I'm not in his or Paul's.😁
Robby, next time you're in Bicknell you got to go to the Sunglow Cafe! Good food, but they have some unique pies, like Pinto Bean Pie and Pickle Pie. It's a fun stop if you're passing through.
I love that they all point different places at the end but great work didn’t look to stick and with what you guys have as equipment it should of been as easy as it was awesome work but would of loved to see the skid loader winch used
I'm totally in support of her getting the Branco she wants because I personally would love to have one myself. Sadly I missed out on buying one a few years ago because my dad didn't want me to get it because it had the Removable top and in his words they leak constantly.
I bought at auction for $125 a 1948 ford two door, it was ALL original (every single piece of chrome trim) one part missing break master cylinder. People all asking What you going to do with it?? ... said I'm parting it out everything except the motor and drive line axels etc and putting it in the Derby!! This was before cell phones, by the time I got home I had 10 messages from buyers :) I told the auctioneer to let anyone have my number of the asked :) Ended getting around $800 or $900 (forget exactly ... not too bad for flat towing home a half mile, on flat tires 1 days "work" :)
That video of matts that you mentioned was the very first video i watched that started me watching matt the paul then you and rory and chad and Merlin. Saw the angle and location. And thought if nothing else i may het to see some beautiful scenery. Which matt did show
Can't understand why you guys don't pick locks. Matt same deal.. some are ridiculously easy. Also for a recovery/tow team, those tiny airbags that inflate with a hand-pump-ball to open door jams enough for an opening gadget. I have those tools skills and I'm just a Dad and Grandpa. 🤔
You finished another job !! And did a good deed that’s a twofer!! I usually fly out of executive at flying cloud , they will give you a great deal on my plane ticket!
If I had to do this, I would get some airbags under the chassis and lift as I dig out each wheel. The ground is firm under the body and loosened around the wheels it should lift out. Once the wheels are lifted out of the dirt in pairs, you can support them by packing the dirt back into the holes. The jeep could be rolled out by hand. But... They brought a skid steer. Why not loosen and lift each wheel with a sling from the forks to the wheels?
For future reference, when putting an automatic transmission in neutral when engine is not running, all gear positions besides park are neutral. No pump turning, no gear application. Anything after 1970 this will apply. Hope this helps.
I know of a few 66-77 broncos in Utah, but you've gotta promise no LS swaps before I'll share the locations of them. 😂 I'm also sorry for interrupting your intro. I drove by the shop while you were filming and see you had to do a retake right when I drove through in my work truck (white Chevy 1 ton flatbed).
You would definitely be much better with a 1969 to 1972 Chevy blazer for sure!!! Those are way much easier to find parts for than a bronco for sure!!! The blazers 1969 to 1972 are definitely what I have been looking for also!!! I used to have a 2006 Ford super duty and I baught it with under 10,000 miles on it and a week after buying it was already broken down and after 2,000.00$ dollars later with a new fuel control module it worked for another two weeks and it was broken down again!!! I had that truck for 4 years and it was in the shop getting fixed more than I drove it in the 4 years of owning it and I ended up paying for the truck over twice of what I baught it for!!! I kept thinking i would never get my money out of it if what I had in it so I ended up getting rid of it for a 2007 classic body style GMC Duramax and by not having to do any repairs on it for the 14 to 15 years of owning it I pretty sure it has saved me enough money to make up for what I had put in my pile of junk Ford I had!!!!! Great recovery. Really cool on you all to take these jobs so far away, to help the Forestry Dept out. Too bad some people don't respect nature.
I just love Demery’s laugh! It’s contagious 😅
😂Manual Backhoe😂 That is literally the best description of a shovel I have ever heard. Great Job.
Ever notice that thieves rarely ever seem to steal shovels.... 🤠
Mine runs on beer.
@@papawheelie5835 If a thief could use a shovel they wouldn't be a thief.
Victory Lunchables for the whole crew! Nice job. Thanks for helping keep public lands clean.
Thanks for MOOVING the Jeep out of the forest. You guys are always entertaining.

For those not familiar with The Boulder Mountain Range absolutely beautiful but ….. “The “Boulder” is so SO SO RUFF and rocky. The mountain range is appropriately named and awesome fishing, deer and elk hunting.
The other companies might not have all the equipment you have to make this type of recovery! You all did a great job getting it out!
Great recovery guy's that's good business helping take care of fedral land props to Layton Auto, thanks for sharing ❤️😎👍
I’d love to see the new sequoia set up for off road recoveries. You’d be one of the first channels to setup a new sequoia like that and use it.
This is coming from someone with a first gen sequoia and I offroad and do recoveries with it all the time here in Denver CO it’s perfect

Your recovery work has grown by leaps and bounds and the methods you use are outstanding.
Great recovery Robby and team, love the scenery with the cows of course. Good luck with finding some car's for next year. David B.,Utah. 🇺🇲🇺🇲❤❤❤.
I am so tired of seeing people tear things up Crown Vics are great cars and they should be preserved and taken care of
Derby car candidates are already on their last legs, and no longer road worthy.

Well that was interesting, they wanted too see the cows in the moodows 😅. Have a good week and count your blessings amen.
Having that skidsteer seems to be a wonderful thing!
Steve has a great sense of humor.
That skid steer was overkill but then again work smarter not harder and that was really smart
Great Video. Thanks!
Typical Boulder Mountain road and that is a paved road compared to some of the ones i used to drive on to go to some of the best fishing holes around. It is one of my favorite places to be. The views are awesome.
I'm in Arizona, but Boulder Mountain is one of my favorite deer hunting areas.

That is beautiful country.
Vic’s ALL OVER central Florida.
“You’re the youngest one here” hahah that was funny.
That Matt video is the first one TH-cam offered me that I clicked. The rest is history and here I am.
Thank goodness that thing wasn't suctioned in too bad! No doubt a hassle for you to get to, but it made for good content!
Super awesome job 👍👏👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

@1:55 you're never too old for Lunchables, not the pizza garbage, the original ones. If you're too good for Lunchables we can't be friends 😂
Cleetus done bought all the crown Vic’s 🤣🤣
Hello, on behalf of the cows, thanks for the show

Great cleanup! It would have been nice to have seen a before and after of the mess the keep made and the grooming you performed with the skid steer.
Joined in the first minute. Love the channel and love the work y'all do.
CV is standard, find some Mercury and Lincoln too....I had a '96 Grand Marquis and she was a blast
Great job helping out the forest service. Curious when Rory will start working on building your tow truck?
That Jeep was really Moooooving.... Ha!
Your recovery skills are improving. If you would finish your jeep project ... it might come in handy for these off road recoveries.
Robby, you should invest in some Liquid Springs for the Ford. They are a game changer.
Cleetus owns all the Crown Vics!!
Good job gentlemen

Nice recovery. Planning ahead works.

Lol! Robbie we live in the country and drive on roads like this all the time. Gravel roads is where we live
Manual backhoe I love it
Pizza lunchables are my JAM and Im 36 years old
