Only concern with any gel based product with press ons is they have to transparent enough to get a nice fill cure throughout underside of press on or your asking for issues, from popping off, to trapping liquid and icky stuff, to gel allergies from the uncured gel in center
I totally agree.. I had to learn that lesson myself yesterday😭 Also i saw u on another video lol
So true!! I only do transport extensions, then paint a design on later
Not to mention that I don’t think this qualifies as “press on”. I used gel polish for the first time a while back and because I’m stupid and lazy completely ruined my nails with removal so I bought gel tips to practice on and make my own press-on pairs, I would use nail glue or those sticky patches for this and not UV gel glue 🥲
(I say the ruining my nails part because that’s the reason I don’t polish or apply actual gel tips now since I’m busy repairing and growing them out).
Apply builder gel after the first layer of base coat to the real nails, cure before applying your press on nails. It last even longer!
Can i glue them on with builder gel in a bottle?
So there's no confusion i just wanted to say, the term "flash cure" means to cure the gel a short time (about 10-15 seconds) so you can move on to the next nail quickly. Then cure fully when the nails are all applied.
i think flash cure means to actually press on the nail first while curing, then doing it again without holding the nail down
I think it means curing just 1 nail at a time
The best tutorial. Straight to the point. Save me tons of money 💰 😊
Only thing is actually press the nail on with the gel nail glue before putting your nail inn the lamp to cure or else the gel cures so fast you get a giant spots of uneven gel that can cause allergic reactions , air bubbles , lifting and the cuticle over spill and a good top coat helps prevent chipping 😊
Trying this method you risk the gel not curing because the nails are not fully transparent and if the gel doesn’t fully cure you risk getting and allergic reaction. Gelx nails are a great at home option but please do your research to avoid getting allergic reactions.
It makes sense why gel x is clear now. Press on nails have different method, but now in days people are trying things in their own way.
The names of the products are literally right there.
Primer/Dehydrator- Modelones
Gel Glue- Beetles
Are dehydrator and primer different products!? Also, does the uv lamp make the press on stay on longer?
*DISCLAIMER* cutting your cuticles leads to a very high risk of infection! Don’t cut your cuticles!
So wrong lol be quiet
@@Grwenhuhc 1. I am typing so there’s no being quiet when typing lol dumb. 2. Your cuticle is a layer of skin over your fingers that protect the nails obviously your slow so you didn’t know that but I’m here to teach you . If you remove the cuticle it’s a high risk of infection because you removed a skin barrier that protects the nail.
@@GrwenhuhcCutting the cuticle can potentially lead to infection, especially if the person is diabetic or immune system is compromised. That’s why it’s recommend to just push your cuticle back. To each their own tho.
@@NotLikeUs17 shut up
@@Grwenhuhc being wrong like yourself is one thing, being wrong while speaking so confidently while telling the correct person to shut up is just delusional behavior
First time I tried press on nails today and I had all the tools but was wondering why the heck the nail glue with press one wasnt sticking it’s because I forgot to flash cure the first coat of nail glue before I put the press ons on.😅 I pivoted and just used super glue , so I’ll have to redo again once this set falls off 😊
Get a higher watt of lamp then no body worries about drying or what ever most mini lamps r 3-6watt shoot for 24watt or higher girls or u will find them better than these low wattage and nail don’t need to be light color
How do you remove these?? I can’t find any videos on removal of gel glued nails!
You can soak them in acetone (nail polish remover)
Had to redo my thumb nail it accidentally cured on crooked. 😮
How did you remove it without ruining the nail?
"Girl, the struggle is real! Sometimes, I cure my nails for around 7 seconds, reposition them, and then cure them again for another 10 seconds. I've just started doing my nails, and the amount of time it takes to remove them and redo them is unreal!"
I would say it seems like a good method however, its like anything new ur trying do a test 1st to make sure ur not allergic and yes see through nails to make sure it’s fully cured
I think there is a high incidence of Peopel being allergic to this gel glue. I had a horrible reaction and it ruined my nail bed and surrounding skin for months. I’d advice you test out this chemicals on your nails and observe Andy skin changes before wearing them long term.
Did you cure it all the way? Beetles is one of the best products out there
@@sinverrette9803no it isnt it's one the cheapest that works okay but not the best product lmao😂
Obviously test it out first as every product suggests 🙄
I tried this and let’s just say my nails are sticking in super hard
I have regular nail glue do I still add that to my nail and cure it before adding the false nail and curing? Not sure what the difference is. Thank you
The removal of a uv gel is alot less harsh on your natural nails then nail glue. That’s the difference
If you have regular nail glue then you won't need to cure at all. If you use a gel clear top coat you must cure the top coat indeed! Just make SURE none of the products that you use ever touch your cuticles or it will cause lifting for sure sooner than later
@@patricen7157 I was curing with the glue and the polish and the false nails were folding inward. 🤦🏼♀️ I’m very new to all this and I don’t know if the gel polish I chose was good either very runny.
Do you have to use a clearer nail
Can someone tell me all the products she use
How to take them off
60 seconds is not a flash cure lol it’s a full cure
What products are you using please?
Looks like most are from Modelones. Amazon sells them.
What kind of primer do you use? I used acrylic primer but it seems to be wet... didn't dry. I researched and prepped correctly. But it was my first time using it. It's from kiara sky. I'm unsure if that is how it supposed to be 😅
The dehydrator and primer used in this video is by modelones
Can you use this on opaque nails?
No. It won't cure because the light can't penetrate the nail.
What's gel gulf?????? Help me plz
girl, you have to give us a list of all your products.... these nail salons are about to be losing customers muy Pronto!!!!! ❤️ 😍 💋
They sure are cuz I got my press on nails on for good, bye bye nail salons! 😂
@@realtalk8813
What product u use
For real!!!❤❤😂
Why would you apply glue to nail and cure before applying nail? I don't understand this process can anyone explain?
Because it makes the nail sticky for better adhesion..then she puts a layer inside the nail..
@@sinverrette9803 what do you mean a layer inside the nail
It makes it tacky and the nail will adhere better
@@sharikacrenshaw4236 thank you
What is that product you applied befor applying nail
She is applying Modelones Dehydrator & Primer (no need to cure those 2) then instead of using the reg nail glue that comes w press-ons. She is using Beetles brand full cover nail tips glue which requires curing w a UV/LED lamp but will keep them on much longer. The single coat she applied before the glue on the nails was 1 coat of that SAME Beetles brand gel nail glue to act as a nail bond but Modelones makes good stuff too. You can buy nail bond for this step but it works the same providing a sticky surface that the press-on will adhere to. Then, after glueing & curing each nail on… she sealed them in w a gel top coat. If you have issues w the white/colored paint chipping off before your set needs replaced, you can buy a $4-$5 bottle of Builder Gel & put 1 coat of that on after you glue the nails on. Cure. Then your top coat. Cure. DONE. No chipping. No scratches. Strong & Pretty. You have that $40 investment but other than that, just the cost of your press-ons which are cheap. The only liquid you will go thru every cpl mths is the nail gel glue so maybe grab the 2 pack for the extra $2-$3.
You may ask… why not just use full cover clear nail jelly/gel tips that are everywhere now. You can if you want to do your own designs or paint tho they now sell in in jelly see-though colors & French tips. IMPORTANT: DO NOT use this GEL GLUE process w your press-ons unless the part of the nail that Attached to yours is transparent/see-through… so use only w French or colored tips painted or a sheer paint. This is really why jelly see through colored polishes are popular now. Because you can cure them w the lamp allowing you to use gel glue which keeps your nails on point for a cpl wks easy & fast & my ladies… we get to save that nail salon money for our gas tanks & groceries w these crazy prices! To recap what yo buy & Amazon sells them all: a Dehydrator/Primer kit (est. $6) the Beetles or Modelones Nail Gel/Top Coat Set (Glue- It will say 3in1, 4in1, 7in1 & Curing req.) ($7-8ish), Nail Lamp UV/LED ($17-$20) & your choice of tipped or transparent/see through VERY light painted press-on nails 💅 ENJOY! 😊
@@hollyrice7605you are so sweet to type all that out! Thanks sunshine. I do have a question…where do get the jelly like, already decorated nails? Most i find in Walmart are ugly/too long and flashy for my simple tastes. Thanks again!

which uv lamp using name please
How long it last
20 minutes.
What does dehydrate do?
Pretty sure it gets rid of excess oil on the nail so everything sticks better
Same as using alcohol
Can anyone confirm this works ?
Worked for me but if you try it, make sure the press on is sheer or it won't cure. Test it first by using a couple layers of peel off base (or school glue) to pop off to see if the gel cured completely.
It defff does! Saves me so much money🤍
How to remove ?
soak in acetone forever
Lol yes forever
@@chrisanalovenot forevahh 🥴 lollll
What kind of glue do I need ? What’s the name of the glue that you cure under light ?
No gel 4 me
Opps I must of messed up I didn’t use the gel on my nails n flash cure I tried to put it on like nail glue cured 1 shot n it fell off
Get some uv gloves since thats how youre flash curing. Protect your hands/skin love...
You are not supposed to use gel glue on pressons because the nails aren’t clear so you risk getting infection
Thank you, I been using just base
That's why you cure under and over.. never had an issue...
if you could the products used??
✅
I don't have all that sis..
go get it sis
Great video! Protect hands from uv with gloves.
I thought you can’t use gel glue with colored press ons…
A lot of the girls are trying this method. So I guess it works. I’m going to give this method a try this weekend.
it has to be at least semi sheer on the part you're curing to your nails
they’re super sheer, i did them w the same press ons and it works. the only time it’ll take longer for the gel to cure is if you have darker colored press on/acrylics. but this specific kind is sheer and see through actually
@@latericahall12 I became allergic to gel doing this over a year
@@crisrahamtulla9859 oh ok, I can’t use gel at all anymore, I tried put gel on the artificial nails and then applying it to my nails, I had an allergic reaction
I used the same product and I can't get my nails to stay on 😢
mayb look at how u prep ur nails and If any product on skin or air bubbles that will cause lifting
