👉Now that you know the ins and outs of microinverters and power optimizers, we want to hear from you! Which do you think is the better choice? Leave a comment to let us know the winner and why.

Very good and well explained video. All parts in the video are relevant. Top video. Congrats.

I think you need to discuss the new hybrid inverters to help people make those decisions. I am going with optimizers since I am going to use a hybrid inverter that makes installation easy for battery back up and possibly adding a generator later. If I wasn't planning on adding battery back up, then maybe micro inverter would be ok.

That is a great topic suggestion. It's on our list for future videos!

Thanks again for one of the best videos I have seen on any topic. It is clearly answering the question on optimizers vs microinverters.
Suggestion: Video on analyzis of why the SolarEdge stock has gone down so much lately. What are the MAIN challenges now and forward for SolarEdge? I heard SolarEdge is the best option for optimizers. Have experience from them and so far they are working very well having (SolarEdge app, inverter 7kW and optimizer on a high roof, private). Is SolarEdge still a leader within solarsystems based on optimizers? Are they making and selling microinverters? How do you, if possible, judger SolarEdge prize to "money back from the investment" ratio?

My roof faces are east and west. So I guess Optimizer wins.
My present asphalt shingle roof is 29 years old and my insurance company is insisting that I have a new roof put on my house. I would like to get a new roof and at the same time have a solar system installed.
Do you do roofing (or partner with a roofing business), or are you only a solar panel installer? I would like to hire one company to do the whole job rather than trying to coordinate between two businesses.
I'm also interested in knowing if you install solar shingle roofs like the GAF Timberline solar shingles or CertainTeed Solstice solar shingles? I know the solar shingles are more expensive but I like the way they look and would seriously consider them.
You have a lot of good reviews. Keep it up!

Kevin, We only provide solar services. However, we've worked closely with our customers and roofing companies in the past. It would not be much additional coordination on your part. We do everything we can to make the process as seamless as possible.
We do not install solar shingles.
Thanks for watching! And we appreciate the encouragement. 👍

You really did zero explaining, but circled around location of the box and other frankly irrelevant info. Like.. wtf..? how does the optimiser handle a panel where a leaf lands on it vs not? Your doing nonexplaining nonstop disguised as "almost about to explain" lol

Could you please clarify? ;) Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

@@thesolarenergychannel I believe he is asking how microinverters and optimizers handle shading variations on a bank of panels on the same string. At one point, a big benefit of microinverters is there output was additive so if one panel had full sun, the next panel was blocked by a chimney, on the same string, there was no loss of power output. I am presently trying to go through this analysis for my own DYI project.
