It’s crazy to think when I was a kid I would sit in my room at my parents house listening to you guys for hours, helping me through what I thought were problems at the time. Now 10 or more years later this song comes through on my recommended videos, on one of the crappiest days I’ve had in a long time. I was ready to throw in the towel on my small business I’ve worked so hard to make. Being a father, having a family and a home, being a business owner. It all just takes a toll on me and today was that kind of day it was almost too much. Who knows if you guys will ever see this but I just wanted to say thank you. My music tastes and genres have changed a little over the years, but it seems like you guys always have something that fits me when the time is right.

90% of ADTR fanbase nowadays is grown up people who grew up listening to ADTR's heaviest songs and used to go every single concert they made in our cities. And now we're here with our jobs, houses, some even have kids... and still rocking with ADTR!!

oh man.. big boy tears here. ive followed this band, this man for over a decade now. and to see the ending, him coming back home to his wife and daughter to relax and play for them was just so beautiful to see! ive got 2 girls of my own and play to them as well. maybe thats why it hit a little close to home
I remember going through some of the hardest times in my life listening to this band. From lonely and homeless to happily married with two kids. It all kinda comes full circle. From homesick to finally home. I can’t help but fall apart at the ending.

Man, as someone who grew up with Jeremy McKinnon as a teenager, I feel like I GREW UP with Jeremy Mckinnon as an adult. In my late 20s now, and seeing/hearing this just lets me know that I'm not alone.
At first I thought like everyone else they went soft but listening to the lyrics and realizing where we are at in our lives, mine especially. Older. Kids. Family. Life is good. We do have everything we need. Love this album. Keep rockin boys
Your music has come full circle with this song for me and my fiancé. We met on MySpace in 2002 when I was 19 and he was 23. He was in Seattle, I was in Tulsa but he had roots in Oklahoma. We talked on and off through the years but always had a deep connection. No matter how long it had been between conversations, we picked up right where we left off but we could just never seem to get the timing right. When it was released in 2009, we knew our song was 'If It Means A Lot To You'. The lyrics seemed to fit our situation perfectly and it gave us hope that one day, everything would work itself out and we would be together. 18 years later and one VERY LONG road trip from Seattle to Tulsa in a UHaul, we are finally together and we couldn't be happier. 'Everything We Need' really hits home and makes me feel so thankful that neither of us ever gave up on each other. At 36 and 40, we have each other. And that is definitely everything we need. Thank you for being a special part of us.

I was just 16 when I discovered ADTR, going through all the hormone-fueled emotional strife that teenagers go through. I'm 27 now(still single 😄) and still as hooked on this band as I was 11 years ago. Just saw them live for my fifth time this year. Wherever life takes me, their music is always there to remind me that there are things in life worth fighting for.

What they put out this time is pure ADTR sound with lots of variety. I think they fucking nailed it and gave diehard A day fans just what they wanted.

Gah flashback to "fast forward 2012" Now its 10 years later.. We are all getting older and still enjoying this amazing band my Kings and Queens.
I never comment on youtube videos, but needed to share this:
I've been a listening to ADTR since I was a 2008 middle-school kid in her emo/metal phase.
Fast forward to 2024, turns out it wasn't just a phase, but instead the start of a life-long love and appreciation of not only music in general but for ADTR too.
I met my (now fiance) in 2020.
For our first anniversary gift I made a video montage of our time together so far and our plans for the future, and this was one of the songs I used in it. It brought us both to tears, as it was so US.
Currently - We're planning our wedding for next year.
One of the first things we decided on was that "Everything We Need" would be the perfect song for me to walk down the isle to marry him.
I already know I'm going to be a crying hot mess when this song starts playing and I start walking down the isle, but I can't imagine it happening any other way.
Cheers to all the young alt kids, now grown up still bumping the same tunes we did 15 years ago.
& shoutout to ADTR for still kicking it, killing it with the new music. Yall STILL rock.

I’ve always said there’s an ADTR song for every point in my life. You guys have gotten me through a lot of both good and bad times. The crazy thing is I feel like the music has grown with me and this album’s been no different in that aspect. This song in particular though... man. As someone who works out of town this one and the video hits really close to home. Nothing beats that feeling when I walk through that door and my little boy runs up to me and I get to hold him and my wife again. Makes the bad days worth it and this song takes me home to them every time I hear it.

The whole album is either C tier generic ADTR songs or Imagine Dragons.
It's like a mix of Fall out boy and imagine dragons, imo weak compared to the other albums. I'm not feeling this album. I know they had other softer songs in the past, but I couldn't get into this album.
