Thanks for mawa recipe. Just a tip for the milk not to get stuck in Kadai is to rinse the kadai with water nicely & then put the milk in kadai & then put on fire. Milk won't stick to the bottom. This tip was given by old Mashima & it really worked.

Yes. South indian sweets don't have mawa. I am south indian and I grew up in the US. I love barfi, laddu, etc.. made with mawa. I love the creamy texture of mawa. I have never made mawa. So, this recipe for mawa is perfect

Nice recipe, you make it just the same way as my mum taught me. The only difference is that we add sugar when the milk starts to get thicker, and this we call khir, which is used in many bengali desserts and shondesh.
