Basically... if you follow the time line... zamasu was punishing trunks for using the time line and creating the ultimate goku.... on universe 6. You will find that there is no planet earth and they had to wish for one... meaning in all of the time lines... goku is dead...... trunks is the one that brought goku back to life and also why there was a dark existence in the dragon balls.
Makes perfect sense, however if zamasu was that stupid which he was, the androids woild've ran amok, cell would've easily absorbed them, blew up earth and gained unknown heights depending on who he ran across in the galaxy, then again without instant transmission there would've been more than enough time for the "perfect being" to fizzle out... possibly.. unless he was actually that dedicated of conquering and destroying everything in his path, being part frieza and saiyans, and some human, probably.
