Fiido T1 Pro Review: Latest Version of the Popular Cargo/Utility E-Bike Tested

  • In this review of the Fiido T1 Pro, I take a closer look at the specification to see how it fairs. The T1 Pro is the latest version of their popular cargo/utility e-bike.
The strong points of this e-bike are the motor performance (particularly hill climbing), battery capacity, hydraulic disc brakes, cargo-carrying potential, step-through frame, and nice riding position.
Overall, I liked the Fiido T1 Pro, but it does have its faults. The big one for me is the strange way the pedal assist works. I couldn't get on with it, and this electric bike would be so much better if it had a torque-sensing PAS system (like on the Fiido X). Also, I found the motor to be noisier than similar hub motors.
Other issues I came across were, the seatpost doesn't go high enough for a taller rider (I'm 6 foot). The saddle is uncomfortable if you're pedalling.
Overall, the Fiido T1 Pro is a pretty good e-bike for the price. But, I would only recommend buying one if you specifically needed an e-bike with this cargo-carrying potential.

I have to agree that the headlight is phenomenal! It is better than those on both of my motorcycles

I have the old version of the T1 and like you I changed the seat. But mine is more of a cruiser seat. I need more padding for my boney butt. But other wise it is a great E Bike. I do not have the hills to worry about here in Sacramento California. Thanks for sharing. Good review.

The stock seat is cushy and comfortable and has springs. This bike has an upright riding position, why somebody would replace it with a road racing seat is beyond me. Looks out of place on this bike as well.

Same seat as on my FIIDO L3 and I love it , like sitting on a couch and I’m a big lad but there is no problem pedalling whatsoever , I would not change it .

I think he makes a great point as he's said he's a road cyclist so the pedalling dynamics are different so he's not used to that riding position. roadies will pedal at 80-100 rpm which can be weird with a very wide seat and the extra suspension may not be needed given the tyre size already

I own one of these. It's great. BUT!! They come with absolutely NO warranty! So be warned, if something goes wrong then you're on your own.
I had an electrical failure on mine after a month and had to completely dismantle the bike to fix. If you don't have any knowledge of electronics then maybe this isn't the bike for you.

I didnt buy this bike to pedal. The stock seat is cushy with springs and the seat post has a shock absorber.
The UK watt and speed limit requirements are ridiculous. I can pedal faster than 15mph on any bike.

For any cargo bike, you will want fatter tires, especially if you actually use it for carrying stuff around. As an “everyday” riding bike, it probably sucks and so will ANY cargo bike. An everyday all round bike, it’s overkill. I am considering a couple of cargo bikes, but I live on my boat and sail around to different places and don’t have a car, even if I did, it wouldn’t fit on the boat. I’m looking at a small cargo bike because I’m not always near grocery stores and want to be able to carry more… An actual use for a cargo e-bike.

This bikes headlight, "works really well at night".
But what about its daylight capabilities?
And which bike headlight did you have that didn't "work well at night"?
The problem with this review is you didn't pay for it with your cash, and would most likely like the new and improved version in the future. Also sent to you, free of all costs.
Nice grift, if you can get it....

This bike is illegal in this country because it has a thumb throttle. To be legal it has to be registered and have indicators fitted. It will then need to have insurance, tax and Mot. In the UK you can't go faster that 15mph
