Enjoyed the vid. Have to say, I envy you folks up north who get to push some snow. We got none this winter. In spite of that old cliche that says, "Be careful what you ask for," I ask for snow --- and more snow -- every winter, but statistics, location, and more recently climate change seem to conspire to work against us as snowplow operators located in Central Arkansas, USA. And every year I wait for and look forward to winter to see if the white stuff will fall in our area. Sometimes it does, and then we get the crew out and enjoy our work. Keep up the good work!
Looked like you were enjoying yourself there, the cab makes a big difference, even in mild temps. Loved watching you work while I sat in an easy chair!
Hi Tyson, I would guess that a Bobcat in the snow is the equipment that's the most fun for you. Clearly, you're enjoying yourself under that beautiful blue sky and the snow just the right condition to be blown easily. You're skilled so I know you've done a lot of snowplowing. Thanks and best wishes. - Dean from Minnasnowa
The Skid Steer did a nice job. I have a Myers plow for my Jeep, but I certainly don't move the snow that you move because I'm in North East PA. Was a good video, but I miss seeing Suki and Marley... Always good to see you Tyson and thumbs up on your video.... We have yet to get a snow storm here in North East PA. and I hope as always it's a mild winter. Take care....
Nice job. I will have to show our Municipal grader operator this video. See what happens when you put the blade down. Snow moves . Bloody amazing eh. Thank you for the video update eh.
It's no D8, that's for sure. I suspect it beats the fuel efficiency of the 8 by quite a bit. That's a very handy attachment to have. About four weeks ago, when I traveled up to Lake of the Woods, my cousin had to use his Bobcat to clean my parents' driveway since my dad was fishing with me. They got about 8 inches of snow, but places further north in Minnesota had a couple feet of it. It was bad enough in spots that they were windrowing it into the middle of the streets and then loading it out with an industrial snowblower and dump trucks. The snowbanks must have been seven feet high.
Chains on your skid steer, good idea. I’ve been wanting to do that. I see you have good traction. Have you ever thought about over the tire tracks. I need traction in the spring for cleaning barns during calving.
How is that skidder for starting in the cold? It’s such a small compact unit you could almost park it in your living room but it must have a block heater in it?
@@Northern_Farmer I was just going to comment on the chains, but you just answered. My buddy told me skid steers not very good in snow/plowing, obviously he didn't use chains. Good vids bud... from U.P. Michigan
I've lost a track on my Hitachi USB65 but never on the skid. The difference in push power is like day and nite with tracks. The tracks stay flat unlike the wheeled always pushes on the rear tires mostly.
That is a nice looking plow you have, I bit that is a lot easier and faster on times then just using the tractor original bucket..lol but inerways you siad earlier you have -0 feels warm?? Where I'm from -0 is pretty cold, anything lower than that it's freezing or just very cold. But am just curious have you guys had a Comal warning winter before?? Cuz we sure have been this year. Just curious, but inerways good video.👍
Wow, you guys push snow and ice out of the way just to enable you to get work done, we have ice machines about in every household or business to have ice for use, even our ski resorts have snow making machines for emergency.
Run a piece of rubber across the top of your plow 6 In chose out a and it will help the plow perform in it'll keep the spray from coming over the Wow I use a piece of rubber belt for mine try it it seems to help James T North Carolina

Tons of difference...compared to me freezing on that old 843

No problem

Love how the Bobcat gets the job done. Having an enclosed cab makes it very nice.
Very nice
Good to see you again! ;) Gotta love our Canadian winters!!
I like that little plow. Seems better than using a loader bucket
That little Cat does a great job!
I've often wondered how effective they would be ,now I see that looks pretty impressive !! Thanks for the video !!!
Your welcome
awesome snowplowing video. Stay safe
Nice job Man I never thought Bobcat S650 Skid Steer has that much of power
Get the chains on and you can put the power to the ground

I guess global warming hasn't hit Minnesota yet LOL
Skins her down real nice, plenty of muscle too, thanks for posting!
Thanks
Looked like it was a beautiful day, even though its still winter! lol
Nice compared to last few weeks
Thanks for sharing Tyson
Hope all is well👍

I hear they work alright
S650 does a fine job pushing snow.
That's the exact setup I wish I had but side by side with blade works good enough
Hi Tyson you just like the cab on the bobcat it's nice and warm not like the d 6 cold and windy ha ha Graham uk keep up the video
That moves snow nicely
That Bobcat plow sure is nice. I don't remember you buying that! Lol. I've got a Western rigged up for the skidsteer, works well too.
Got it last year..love it
Great video. You just hope there's no big rock in the snow.
Shouldnt be in the field
Slick little snowplow
Good morning Tyson. Nice to see the days are again getting longer and warming up some too. -Bob...
great job tyson enjoyed the video thanks
Snow plowing always seems more fun than pushing dirt.
Bobcats are sweet! Until you pop a tire off the bead in middle of a job haha 😂 totally don’t know that from past experience lol great vid man!
I have done that to..
They are handy little toys
That little thing can move some snow
Well done sod buster
Looks like the same amount of snow we have in west central Wisconsin
How is that skidder for starting in the cold? It’s such a small compact unit you could almost park it in your living room but it must have a block heater in it?
Very hard starting...even plugged in to a certain temp..
seems like your from canada where abouts are you in this beautiful country of ours?
I sure am. In in northern Alberta
Z
Love your channel. Just curious, why don’t you put plows on your pickups? I live in Wisconsin, and it is very common here.
It always amazes me how well those little things can push as soon as ya put chains on haha
Useless without chains
Gonna replace the 5020 with one Nick?
@@awstott not a chance lol
@@Northern_Farmer I was just going to comment on the chains, but you just answered. My buddy told me skid steers not very good in snow/plowing, obviously he didn't use chains. Good vids bud... from U.P. Michigan
@@cleobean8723 yup once you put the chains on its like night and day
Shit the little bugger pushes pretty damn good eh. That's what I need for my dugout rink lol
Yea but the chains would chew it up good lol
@@Northern_Farmer hahaha ya that's also true lol
Handy unit
Indeed
Allmost every tractor can have blade like the one 12ft and mores
Tyson do you ever wish you would have got the tracked version? I could never go back to tires.
Not really..lots of maintenance with tracks..and throwing tracks...and also you cant put chains on for winter
I've lost a track on my Hitachi USB65 but never on the skid. The difference in push power is like day and nite with tracks. The tracks stay flat unlike the wheeled always pushes on the rear tires mostly.
How many baby cows do you now? Have any been born since the last time you updated? Thanks!
Only had 3 more since that last video
@@Northern_Farmer Thanks for the info! I forgot to ask what the total is now?
When you are done plowing that field, you can almost start sowing.
Is that a 7’ blade? Looking for one for my Kubota ssv65, hi from Colorado!
6ft
How much snow have you gotten this yr we haven't had much at all this winter
Foot and a half...
Any issues with traction? Looks like it does a good job pushing snow on the gravel!
Yup, you’re an experienced operator alright. Except your safety beacon wasn’t on! Thanks for sharing. Hope your parents are doing ok.
I dont need it on in the yard

Now you have to plow out the sawmill lol

Are you anywhere near Manning AB
Not quite that far north...hour south

Where is old Smokey
Parked in the back yard. It has a fuel.issue...
nice to have a cab. when I was a young lad doing snow with the farmall M there was no cab burrrrrrr.
I had a 834 2 years ago with no cab...froze in that thing
Be a damn site cheaper on fuel for plowing to, i just have to find a door for my Takachoochoo
Takeuchi will out push that little... Just saying.
@@davelariviere682 Yeah i just got this 2006 TL140 on tracks but the down side is it came without a door but apart from that i'm quite happy with it,
Wheres old smokey
Parked in the back...needs a sediment bowl for the fuel pump
Hard to beat a skid steer for pushing snow
Unless it's hard drifted and a huge amount
True. I don't have a blade just snow bucket so drifts aren't a real problem. Huge amount = D8 Cat
