Good morning, friends! I'm SO excited to share our budget friendly patio makeover with you! We've been working on this project for the last several weeks and I'm thrilled to share the 8 thrifty/affordable DIY projects we tackled for this outdoor space! I don't think I could pick a favorite - I love all of it. I'm curious about your buffet cabinet under your window. I was considering the same on my deck as I have an overhang. However, did you put anything on it to weather proof it?

You aren't going to want to smell citronella while you're eating or drinking. The doors and shutters are gorgeous. The paint perked everything up! Nice work!

Number one of the power of paint number to the shutters and doors, number three. The lanterns and number four your ability to find these things and present them so nicely. I also really love the lattice work around the high vac unit cuz I've got two really ugly high back units!! I also really love the green. I'm going to paint my kitchen that color green!! I decided that this morning before I watched this video. You just keep doing great things❤
I love that floor mat. I would take it and draw it out on some paper, and make a copy of it and make some rubber mats to match it and then place it in other places to have more mats that match.
I would have painted the aluminum part of your windows, white or black, then framed them with wide wood around. Also, a simple white wash on your brick would have changed the look with your shutters, very pretty green.
Beautiful job! Just remember to move the citronella candle away from food and where you eat. It's toxic and may make you sick. Just put nearby, and it will work the area ... maybe make a few more to scatter around. Beautiful work. Just found you. I'll be back to watch more of your videos!

I loved the golden bronze on the lamps bought from the thrift store and would not have changed the colour to black but I do see that you made a good choice for your home. You have good ideas and I admire your dedication.

everything looks fantastic I would done different if it was my Buffet I would put wheels on it that locked down so you can lock it so it doesn't move but you unlock it to let it move that helps the wood to say good away from rain or whatever gets on the patio that way you can move it and clean behind it l Great job
I’m sure you have already gotten rid of your storm doors, but I will suggest anyway. The glass on those kinds of doors make great covers for cold frames, if your interested in gardening. Lettuces, radishes and turnip greens all love cold frames in the spring , fall and even in the winter , in many areas. I have actually seen a small greenhouse built with old storm doors! They are quite a resource. Your husband probably comes across many that are being changed out, in his work. I wonder how a English garden would be decorated? Your remake is quite lively!

The new lights, lattice and shutters really add a lot. Ive been collecting flower pots for awhile and love filling them all up in the spring. We have the same lights on our deck. This year I plan on spending a lot more time on the deck. We bought a Breeo and love having fires at night. Maybe think about a fire pit and a hammock.

I love the screen doors, reminds me of my Great Aunt's big porch in Texas. She had a big peach Orchard and for big reunion we made peach ice cream (3 buckets).

I make candles and I use a clothespin(s) to suspend wicks. Through the wire hole of the clothespin, yeah? One for a narrow container, 3 for a wide one. If you can picture what I mean.

There is NO way to pick a favorite because it all pulls together for a completely charming space. A glider would be heavenly painted green with blue outdoor pillows! I do exactly the same as you and I call it a domino effect, haha! One project leads to so many because transforming any space is so addictive! Your hubby is a real peach, just like you! This space could use more textiles for a cozier feeling. Speaking of the domino effect... Matt asked me recently what I'd like to tackle for the next outdoor project and he keeps mentioning chickens! I'd LOVE to build a cottage-y little coop, paint it green with ivory trim and gingerbread... you are totally right, transforming a space (or creating a new space) is addictive! wish I could see what you come up with for your porch! Great doable projects. For the cool drinks... Make limeade ahead or buy it, then freeze in icecube trays. This keeps the flavors strong and like regular ice, won't dilute the taste or texture. You can also freeze the cream ahead too. Once the warm weather hits I freeze coffee and tea cubes for the same reasons. Delicious, easy and always in ziplock freezer bags, ready to go. Oh my goodness this turned out just amazing!! I love it all so it’s hard to pick a favorite. I am going to go with the screen doors since I have a soft spot for them! I A nice rug will definitely soften the area up. I found a beautiful 2 seater metal glider with cushions in perfect condition last year on the curb! If you dont have a working sewing machine you can hem the table cloth with stitch witchery tape that melts with the heat of the steam iron.

I make candles and I use a clothespin(s) to suspend wicks. Through the wire hole of the clothespin, yeah? One for a narrow container, 3 for a wide one. If you can picture what I mean.

There is NO way to pick a favorite because it all pulls together for a completely charming space. A glider would be heavenly painted green with blue outdoor pillows! I do exactly the same as you and I call it a domino effect, haha! One project leads to so many because transforming any space is so addictive! Your hubby is a real peach, just like you! Haha! My thoughts exactly! It all goes together so well it's hard to separate out a favorite! Great idea for the blue pillows on the green glider! This space could use more textiles for a cozier feeling. Speaking of the domino effect... Matt asked me recently what I'd like to tackle for the next outdoor project and he keeps mentioning chickens! I'd LOVE to build a cottage-y little coop, paint it green with ivory trim and gingerbread... you are totally right, transforming a space (or creating a new space) is addictive! wish I could see what you come up with for your porch! Great doable projects. For the cool drinks... Make limeade ahead or buy it, then freeze in icecube trays. This keeps the flavors strong and like regular ice, won't dilute the taste or texture. You can also freeze the cream ahead too. Once the warm weather hits I freeze coffee and tea cubes for the same reasons. Delicious, easy and always in ziplock freezer bags, ready to go. Oh my goodness this turned out just amazing!! I love it all so it’s hard to pick a favorite. I am going to go with the screen doors since I have a soft spot for them! I A nice rug will definitely soften the area up. I found a beautiful 2 seater metal glider with cushions in perfect condition last year on the curb! I even when to the door and checked since it was so nice lol. The lovely gentleman even helped me load it. I’ll be watching this again lol, blessings to you both
