I've got the K100 after watching a couple of top 5 keyboards and seeing reviews online.
I gotta say its a brilliant keyboard , it just feels premium, the metallic sound wheel its so convenient to use , i managed to switch from my corsair headset volume adjust to the keyboard one in a day , the additional buttons with metallic feeling they include in the box is a win
The RGB is the best ive seen in a keyboard ever , i sometimes stop and stare at the effect like a kid.
    Highly recommend the K100

I got the razer Huntsman V2 analog mainly because I like having a justable actuation for linear switches and I'm more of a tactile and clicky switch person, that was basically the main selling point for me was the adjustable actuation can I just love the sound of the Huntsman chassis with the switches

@@SpaceAdmiral792t yo bud! So I recently went through a round of keyboards. I am a picky sob with keyboards. I’ve tried the k100 with opx and k70 tkl.both are VERY pingy which annoyed the crap out of me and made them feel cheap. The razer analog was awesome. The switches had an awesome thock sound and no ping and it felt like an end game board (new razer user here). However I ended up with the apex pro tkl because of the size. If you were not sure of the two which to pick I would personally pick the razer but that’s my preference.

Got the K100 gold edition, and with a lowered goldish glow on the keys, this thing looks amazing. I just use the keypress color change anyways so that keys are lighting up red, but that is just because I have so many use cases where I need to see what I typed before hitting enter due to switching between multiple languages. Had the Orion Spark since maybe 2015-2016 and had to switch it out due to the switches failing. This is hands down the best keyboard I have ever used. Even typing speed has improved.

Got the K100 Cherry MX version. Coming from a Blackwidow Chroma V2, all I can say is it's hands down the best keyboard I've ever used. I also love how the lighting is diffused in the K100. It's vibrant even in a very bright room, but in the dark it doesn't hurt your eyes at all. I've seen some other keyboards with exposed switch designs where the lighting just spills out so much it becomes annoying in the dark. For the K100 it's just perfect for me. Not sure how I feel about the iCue control wheel. Haven't really used it and it does feel gimmicky. Great video by the way :)

    • @HanoobKen
      @HanoobKen 3 ปีที่แล้ว

@@seamistseamist Probably out of familiarity. My old Black Widow keyboard served me for 6 years+ before I accidentally spilled coffee on it. I can't remember which model but it was before the one with the green backlight. It had those MX Blue switches. I put it back in its box, and a year later I decided to disassemble it and clean the coffee inside. And now it's fully functional again lol. As a replacement I bought the Black widow Chroma V2 with the razer yellow switches, but less than a year in I had so many issues with it. Keys were getting unresponsive. And believe me, I take care of my peripherals/hardware, so I was very disappointed when that thing started malfunctioning. So I guess what I'm saying is that I'm confident in the reliability of the MX switches. The MX silvers are fantastic. Next time I'll give the optical switches a try :)

I have both, but I cannot use the Analog V2 because I get phantom keys. The keys will sometimes think they’re held down even after I release them. I have video of it, I’ve presented it to Razer, and all they can offer is an RMA. The problem is Synapse, when I close it all of the issues go away. No more phantom keys until I start Synapse again

    • @artyboy1377
      @artyboy1377 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

My local Razer distributor (Asia) does not offer RMA services as they don't have techicians to do repairs. What they do is check the serial number for warranty records, replicate the issue to verify its indeed faulty and just give you a sealed new replacement on the spot (if they have stock at their service centre). That's one of the reasons I like Razer products - very solid after sales service. It's tempting to get them cheaper at Amazon but the lack of distributor warranty is the reason I choose to buy at higher cost from local retailers.

I love the multi actuation switches (both keyboards) and the ability to "set sensitivity" if needed. My personal choice for overall key feel while depressing goes to the SteelSeries Apex Pro TKL, just that "little bit" smoother/silkier in the key depress. Not to say the Razer feels bad, I bought the SteelSeries for my MSI laptop after using the Razer and not having a TKL or mini keyboard to fit in my laptop bag.

I placed two very small pieces of plastic as spacers on the wristpad so that the spece between wristpad and keyboard was a little wider. Now it functiones great. Thats a pretty big design mistake for such an expensive keyboard.

I have the Razer. Some of the keys would not disengage(e.g. stop pressing W, keep walking forward). I had to jump through many hoops before they'd process my RMA.
So, about 2 weeks after I mailed my defective unit, I received my replacement. Which does the exact same thing as the first one. I told them I am no longer interested in diagnosing or troubleshooting. I just want a refund. Apparently Razer only issues refund from direct sales. Since I purchased from a retailer(who has a 14 day return window), I'm basically SOL with a $250 flagship keyboard that is a POS.

I have both in front of me and definitely prefer the Razer Huntsman Analog V2. The Corsair is nice but the damn PING that has existed since the K70 continues to drag down their keyboards. Some keys are just ridiculously pingy when you bottom out the key. I can't understand why Corsair hasn't address this with some sound dampening material inside their keyboards. The other issue is the inconsistent feel between keys that us stabilizers and ones that don't.. They feel completely different. The Ping and inconsistent feel just shouldn't be happening on a $230 keyboard.
I ended up with the Huntsman Analog V2 because of the key feel and no ping. Corsair really needs to get their act together on the Pinging. It has been going on since the K70 but they continue to bury their heads in the sand about it. Frustrating as I LOVE the RGB implementation on the K100.

Very true indeed, I tested the Steelseries Apex pro with omni switches, K100 with opx switches as well as thee analog v2; both the k100 and the apex pro had the annoying ping, and it became more prevalent especially when these linear keys are quiet, Ended up with the analog v2, yes its keys are hard and you really gotta put some muscles to use to push down the key but it feels rock solid and there is completely no ping; plus it has the actuation adjustment feature of the apex pro and some more upgrades.

Like what you said Brainbean, Razer is more focused towards game implementation so I do prefer this one over the K100. My gf mainly play games with a controller and do her multimedia editing with the K100.
One thing I do love about the K100... the OPX switches are so frickin' fast! Typing with it is amazing. As for the Razer Huntsman v2 Analog, I don't enjoy typing long wall of texts with it... hence, I'd prefer a low profile KB for that.

I will say if the foe leather on the Huntsman is anything like what is on the Black Widow it will flake off over time. I love the keyboard but I have had it so long now that you can tell where my wrists shift around on it, and I find little flakes stuck to me all the time after a long gaming session. I can get a replacement but it is $35 and is still comfortable to use just a bit... messy to use now.

Which is a better Gaming Keyboard b/w Razer Huntsman V2 (Purple) and Corsair K70 RGB MK.2 (Brown)?
I have ordered the Razer Huntsman V2 (Razer Purple) for 148.49 USD. The red linear version is unavailable and the available ones are very pricy in my country.
I am a Software Dev. I do some typing but I am mainly buying the Keyboard for Casual Gaming.
I did order the Corsair K70 RGB MK.2 (MX Brown) for 153.48 USD. But I cancelled it because I saw many reviews complaining about the poor quality of the keyboard and broken keys after 1 to 2 years of use.
I know that the Razer Huntsman has a lot of rattling due to its poor stabilizers but if I were to get a perfect keyboard in terms of stable and lubed switches I would have gone for the Keychron K series (Q is unavailable in India).
Currently, I own a Cosmic Byte CB-GK-16 with Outemu Blue Switch. It is very clicky and feels okay to game with.
The other choices based on availability and normal pricing are:
    - HyperX Alloy Origins Red - 122.68 USD
    - Razer BlackWidow V3 Pro Green/Yellow - 171.91 USD
    - Logitech G PRO (GX Blue Clicky Switches) - 122.73 USD
Most of the Keyboards and variants are unavailable. So, should I still stick with Razer Huntsman V2 (Purple)?

3 years in with the huntsman elite version 1 and the wrist wrest tore in two spots (size of a dime for both). everything else though is in tact and still operable - may go corsair, or SteelSeries. the SteelSeries wrist wrest is like a hard rubber which i feel will last a long while.

I've had the Huntsman Elite since it came out and honestly it's fantastic BUT I will say MOST of the RGB profiles you find will not include the wrist rest (I don't know why but it's annoying). The wrist rest also doesn't last worth a damn, especially if you have bracelets or a watch on. Mine wore away after just a few months and now a few years later it's extremely annoying with chipping and wear. ALSO, the HyperX pudding caps look fantastic except the bottom row. the bottom row and space bar do not fit the Razer profile. The Huntsman also has a weird input reception where in high tier FPS play it's kind of weird to try and tight strafe without the Razer wanting to prioritize one side. Overall I have to give a good review but I might switch to the K100 to see how it handles over time.

I have always been a loyal Corsair fan (my PSU, AIO cooler, LED fans, mouse & mouse pad are all Corsairs) and the K100 was a no-brainer for the best RGB effects (replacing my 5 year old K70 Rapidfire) but I didn't really enjoy it's linear keys. The Huntsman Elite was in a league of its own with the excellent clicky purple keys and all-round RGBs on both the keyboard as well as the wrist-rest. Knowing I don't need yet another software, got guaranteed RGB compatibility for when I want to do things like having the KB blink in a certain color on certain very important key presses on my Tartarus, and fewer gimmicks like that weird media wheel no game really supports anyway, that's what seemed to make the most difference.

The prices are making these keyboards really only for those who want to spend that kind of money. Both are very good keyboards, but for the price, are they really worth it? I say, no. 4000Hz polling rates also isn't as much of a "game changer" as it sounds, as gamers can't tell much between a 1000Hz and a 4000Hz polling keyboard. At some point, it comes down to just a bunch of numbers, and really doesn't improve anything. The gamer's skills and ability to react faster, not have the keyboard and/or mouse do so, is what makes the most difference. I'm no competitive gamer, and would have my butt handed to me in most games by these pro gamers, even with my bad boy SteelSeries Apex 7 and Rival 3 mouse.
The analog keys on the Razer, though cool, have been problematic when some reviewers and gamers try to get "used" to the way they actuate. It takes some practice and patience to get the Razer's analog keys to do what you desire them to do.
For me, there comes a point at which the more these companies cram into a keyboard (or mouse) to "improve" response times in games becomes too much and is nothing more than a gimmick!
Personally, I just need a good keyboard that is well made, has great feeling keys, and wonderful RGB. The keyboard that does all that and not kill my bank account my Apex 7 with Red Switches. My typing has gotten MUCH better and faster, and I'm no pro typist! I tested the "Big 3" with keyboards, Corsair, Razer and SteelSeries, and the Apex 7 is what I chose, and not because of the list of features, but the way it looked and especially the way it feels!

That's pretty much it, flagship products from whatever company are always for those who have money to spare and want to spend them. I have both the Huntsman V2 Analog and the K95 plat xt , Both are phenomenal keyboards but the one thing that really sets them apart is the software , the PC i have the corsair on is non stop issues with Icue not opening on its own and randomly not responding or shutting down, i have to set it up in the registry to force open it on bootup , have fully cleaned everything and did fresh install of windows and within a month it started happening again, Does the same thing if i swap it to the other pc, The Synapse on the other hand has been pretty great aside from freezing up once or twice in certain games but it doesn't really effect anything except lighting / keybinds which i don't really use.
I love both of these keyboards maybe leaning more towards the corsair in terms of build quality but I cannot stand Icue its pretty terrible and as because of that I probably will never buy another corsair product until i know its fixed.
