Someone saw Invasion of the Body Snatchers and decided that the main problems with it were that it wasn't wildly incoherent or insultingly stupid. In that sense, they fully achieved their artistic vision.
@@johnrussell8120 I'd love to, but the problem with films is that studios don't play fair on fair use. This video, for instance, is currently in dispute even though it's fairly clear it's entirely transformative. It's a bit of a pain in the backside just trying to get them out the door
This is what I love to see, recycling entertainment by reviewing films through personal preference rather than sticking to generic humdrum scripts, finding comedy gold within material which otherwise be thrown to the wayside. I cannot get enough of watching content that's been edited in a way that breaks the normal barriers of viewing material, IT'S FREAKIN HILARIOUS & I LUV IT!❤

Great video 😊 I have actually seen this film (sadly) lol Real shame about all the copyright rubbish. Glad you're doing ok through it all, I've seen many a TH-camr get exasperated with the stupid system. Love your work 🙂
I have this in my VHS collection and the best thing about the film is the box art to say it makes no sense is being unfair to films that make no sense.
It's "THE" hospital (edit/note: or "A" hospital), not just "hospital." A hospital is a place, not a state of being. 0:11 Wha?! This is one of my all-time favorite movies of all time! Granted, I'm the type who regards Killer Klowns from Outer Space, Street Trash, The Stuff, and Q: The Winged Serpent as cinematic masterpieces of demented do0m. 11:58 Why does he choose a double-barrel shotgun when there's a pump-action shotgun right next to it that holds way more rounds? And why does he take a revolver without also taking a holster? This is a police station, so there'd be holsters for handguns and slings for long guns. 13:41 Ackchyually, that would be a "cone." 14:45 He acts like he just now understood that even though he was wearing UV lights all over "hisself" earlier. 15:19 Homage to Doc Brown, maybe? 15:53 🤣🤪

I love a bad film but some films are just bad bad, as it appears this is. Thank you for rotting your brain watching it so the rest of us don't have to.
I've seem a lot of cack 80's films, but this one had evaded me. It looks a lot like Critters, but some genius in that film worked out it's more suspenseful to make the prey slower than the predator
Note for note ripoff of Invasion of the Body Snatchers (original). Starts in a hospital with a madman raving to authorities told in flashback, because that's how Invasion starts.
My theory is that this was an attempt at bringing hentai to the western audience but didn't go through censorship so they just salvaged all the safe footage to get some of their money back.
Nice, a fellow connoisseur. I too enjoy watching really crap movies. You need to check out Ninja 3 the Domination. Hilariously bad and a treasure trove of content.
Being charitable, I think that the native American iconography may be intended as a parallel for the invasion. Europeans came and took the land from the natives, coopting their religious iconography and displaying it in a way that is divorced from the intended context, so in turn the seed people are invading, taking on the appearance of the townspeople, and attempt to perform activities that humans do but with no understanding of what these activities are intended to achieve. I don't know if that's what they were going for, but it's what a better film would do in the same situation.
@@casanovafunkenstein5090 that's a good shout actually, although it's only ever prominent in roughly two scenes of the film so if that was what they were going for they didn't really stick the landing, haha
I think this is set in the same cinematic universe as Garth Marenghi's Dark Place
Presumably, the next stage of evolution for Seed People is Broccoli People.
It's egg in soup!
Dammit now I'm gonna be humming One Track Lover all day. 👍
Monsters that are somehow less effective or threatening than a large human man are my favourite type of b-movie monster.
What in the ding dong heckamadoodle hell is that. I'm definitely going to be busting that one out 😂. Great video mate. Always funny.
Sneed's feed and seed has never been a more terrifying idea.
Formaly Chuck's

"seed people" is what I call people who like bread with bits in it
Super Mario sound effect when Tom hit his head actually made me laugh out loud.

The Sega Rally music, brilliant 🤣
Impressive, that car explosion at the end must turned the budget into 3 figures.
I feel the need - the need for seed! (thank you for sharing this plantastic film with us)
Never seen the film but remember looking at adverts for it with my dad and laughing at the tag line - "The root of all evil"
Did British Rail have a hand in this masterpiece?
I kid you not. About two weeks ago I added it to my Letterboxd watchlist. I know the answer already. Yes it is amazing. Probably. I hope.
With a name like Seedpeople, you can't NOT watch it
Perfect timing. I was just wondering if this film was worth watching.
omg he's done it again!
If they didn't turn into seed people, the film would have been called PEOPLE.
PEOPLE PEOPLE maybe?

Legitimately thought it was "Dark Roller" and ended up just picturing a Goth on a skateboard
You're not the only one, I had to rewatch it three times
Let's hope the seed people can flower into something better😐
Okay the end credits beat goes hard! Need a full song version to try to motive me to move.
Btw...
What about Doc Roller?
Man that box art does some HEAVY lifting, doesn't it?
I low key want to watch this now.
I would love for one of the big studios to get behind the Seed People franchise. Pump in a billion dollars and see what happens.
It could really blossom!
This feels like it would have been better as a horror point n click. Well, "better" by comparison. Love the tunes, keep em banging.
