Best day of my life, from the age of 9 buying their albums to listening to them everyday nearly. I'm now 27 and Been able to finally see them at slane last june bought tear to my eyes I was still pumped even a week after seeing them like I said best day ever, and i will see them again👍
The video playing in the background for, for whom the bells tolls was epic as fuck, sent chills down my spine and goosebumps up my arms!!! Metallica are light years ahead of all other metal bands, old and new! 🤘🤘🤘
Tickets were very expensive, the cheapest tickets were €100 each and then there was gold circle etc that were more. I think there was 85000 people there roughly. That is a lot of money but it clearly shows that a lot of money went into the overall production. Massive stage, screens, lights, sound, security. Brilliant show.
Around 100 bucks for a show and band like this (Rolling Stones, Ac/Dc, G&R etc) is quite standard price, I think. People buy a phones for 800e almost every year, I would't at all. But would pay even twice more for a priceless memories like this concert ...to each their own!
@@Mr.M1STER Ok, somehow I got used to the prices up to 100e for legends like this. Stevie Wonder next month, that's an expensive concert, but still worth, anyway.
No I wasn't there i like some of mettallica but there not my favourite I prefer megadeth and iron maiden. U could be right about acdc for next year as they are rumoured to be getting back with Brian Johnson and we're spotted in a studio in Canada supposedly recording a new album. They would be brilliant for Slane.
@kill as one not really, it was a pretty good place, flat area, everything else close, and most importantly - perfect sound. After all, it was a VIP area.
90 euro for a standard ticket for Slane , I paid 200 for the golden circle in front of the platform you got merch and all included , for the pit in the platform its 2,500 or you could win it in a contest
They donated €70k in total to Irish charities before they left Ireland : €35k each to homelessness & child protection. It doesn’t get much sounder than that !!
Despite Metallica having spaced out days on this tour they still have 2 stage set-ups. They are already setting the next gig up before they play the one they have first
Realised that after the Slane gig on Saturday. Their next show was in Amsterdam on Tuesday. It simply would not be possible to disassemble it, transport and set up in three days.
@@DJreeser yeah. A few weeks ago their next gigs were madrid then Barcelona 2 days later but saw them setting up at Barcelona the day before the Madrid gig. Some size set up isn't it!
i read somewhere that big bands have 3 stages one is getting unloaded at the last place one is in the use and they are already setting up the next stage at the next gig place
@@ninja11236 metallica have 2. They have at minimum 4 days to get it down, transported and rebuilt (sometimes longer) and Metallica don't play consecutive days because of it on this tour.
Is this what a heavy metal concert amounts to now....everyone standing holding their phones? What is the point of going? That crowd is deader than dead...
i agree most rock concerts are dead as fuck now but it's a combination of the age of the crowd and the cell phone recording going on. I'm 21 and have been to various rock concerts and am always into it while the average age around me is like 30-40. These people just stand around and watch with pretty much zero emotion which is the sad truth
MetallicA usaba llamaradas cuando Rammstein aún no existía... Que los espectáculos de fuego de Rammstein sean más grandes y variados no te lo discuto pero MetallicA no copió las llamaradas a Rammstein

For Whom The Bell Tolls leads into Creeping Death beautifully!
Locals were fab, sitting outside their houses afterwards rousing cheers from the invaders as we left.
Absolutely, credit to them
I was so tired that night I nearly tripped 3 times on the way out also did you see the 2 people who got kicked out for smoking weed
Just chilling out the back bedroom window smoking a doob watching Metallica perform 'For whom the bell tolls' you know? no biggy
Hes in the seated area for Slane yeah theres a seated area 😂😂😂
seen em in 86/87and around 91/92 im 48 now. one more time is absolutely necessary👊
Seen them 20yrs ago roughly , was at this and I hope I’ll be at them at least once more - was even better than when I was younger 😄

Unreal experience , great day , great ppl , love it !!!!
Best Slane ever!! 🤘
Ah think bon Jovi was 2013

metallica are miles away from the other bands, they are beasts
Iron maiden kick their arse
@@thomasedmundrichards i love maiden but no they dont, i have seen them both live, metallica 2 and maiden 3 times
Only pantera could kick them maybe
But metallica is amazing, riffs everywhere!
epic-1nc I’ve seen both bands many times - Maiden x6, Metallica x5 and respectfully disagree. Maiden are better

Glad we have different styles!
Lucky you got a free concert :D
Is that really MetallicA? Hell yeah good sound!!! Finally
Recorded on a camera phone through a telescope all the way from Galway
It was on the wheelchair platform with a normal camera

THANK YOU FOR existing METALLICA! \m/
The best concert yet!!💪
Best concert in years, everyone was fucking sound.
Thank kyu for EXISTING METALLICA SIMPLY THE BEST! yeah
Que pasada muy buena canción
Metallica always has the most insane PA speaker setup. There has to be 1-2 million dollars worth of Line Array systems hanging there.
Great day out, cheers
Subscribed to your channel, I so cant wait for the 20th at Twickenham Stadium
I’m gonna be there!
My band
Thanks for the upload. I was half way up the slope i thought the sound was very poor.
Paddy Pravda sound where I was was great but couldn’t see over all the heads. Hard to get the perfect spot.
This looks status quo for a Metallica concert compared to the Whiskey in the Jar video posted earlier. 🤘
Look at all those people .
How much for a ticket ?
These guys are killing it $ $

I miss the 80's sound the way they played Bell's with cliff
But who could top them next year?
Thomas McAreavey covid 19 it seems 😷
Michael McGeehan That’s it
Thomas McAreavey you know it's sad but true 🤘🏻
What can u say about Lars and his ability to keep time ........???
He cant
He didn’t even do the kick drum lick that brings one into the heavy part.
He is not even able to play the drum roll after the intro for Creeping Death
NightRider yeah wtf like? I noticed that
Age is a bitch. His playing was always a workout. He’s not a young man anymore.
