HS2 London to Birmingham only. They should have started at the other end, bet it would go all the way then.

an absolute total waste of money. Why do they always start these sorts of things from Londistan? If it was meant to help the North of the country - START FROM THERE. Every house complusary bought needs to be given back to the owners now this white elephant has been stopped. Every scrap of land handed back - because if it isn't we all know what will happen - houses with no infrastructure. We, the public accept there has to be houses, but for hte love of God, make hte developers and councils build hte schools, doctors surgeries and roads first.

It's the train to nowhere. I only report progress. I am opposed to it.

Not a waste of money - as the people "in the know" will be making lots of money from this white elephant. Wealth transfer on a similar scale to the covid situation. "Sunbelt rentals" name appears here too ! Check out how much money they rented sandbags, fences and generators out for at the thousands of testing centres. Then there's SERCO with board members who just happen to be MP's or their family members such as Winston Churchill's grandson.

Londistan 😂. I agree they should have started at Newcastle. This line should have been the back core of this country. I’m hoping their way of thinking is to see if the line pays itself then cracking on to get to the North. Let’s see how the land lies.

"if the line pays itself" - surely there can't be many people who still think this is a project to make a profit. Surely there cannot be many left who think the powers that be are doing their best for the country. Re-arranging the deck chairs on the Titanic springs to mind. @@kindnessyet2159
