    In this episode, I talk (a lot and too long probably) about the Jackson Jeff Loomis signature Kelly. Saying how I like the guitar is a severe understatement, I frikking love this guitar! All the years of waiting to get a nice Kelly from Jackson sure paid off. Stay tuned and watch with me, why don't ya?

    Great video. 👍
    I didn't feel as long as it actually was. Very smooth dialog and transition from one topic to the next. You made it very clear for us interested buyers as there are not many videos on this guitar out at this time.

But man I feel your pain. It sucks when you do something you love and it hurts all at the same time. Good stuff man. Jusy came across your channel and love it already!

    Sometimes the block on the Floyd necessitates the trem cavity cover to NOT be rececessed, or the block hits the cover while tremming. Hence the reason many guitars have recessed control cavities together with non-receccsessed trem covers. On one of my guitars I have to have washers under the trem cover to off set it even more from the Floyd block.

Thankfully sweet Jesus... mine showed up with zero issue, so I am very thankful. I do hope your replacement arrives soon and in impeccable quality. Right after my unboxing video of it, I sat and looked at it up and down to make sure I wouldn't have to return it should it suffer from any build problems, and was super stoked it was as great as it is. its something to be said if youre saying this is one of the top guitars you own. I just got one and will say it is a good guitar, however i had the same issue a lot of people have where the lovking nut isnt fully secured and theres a popping when u use the trem, mine was fixable but im afraid the screw is stripping and will need to do a better fix with wood filler and retapping that screw. I did not experience the nose a lot have with the blackouts and i run my setup very distorted so i would of heard it. what takes getting used to is the way it hands when standing up, it wants to fall forward, again fixable if u out the body strap on the outside of the back horn, not perfect but id do it for comfort.

      Hi! So I did order mine as soon as it was available for order but my account manager at SW told me then already that I'd not make the first batch due to orders they got ahead of me. Then Covid hit which delayed the production at Jackson OEM, which then also delayed inventory coming into US including SW. Dang, I never got notification of this until now! TH-cam did not promote this video. I was looking for this video in my subscriptions feed like a hawk! Anyways great review, I feel satisfied with MIK guitars and this is another great one. QUESTION: Someone complained on a forum that the pickups have some noise and squeal, but I did not hear it here at all or any recordings from Arch enemy. I suppose thats not a problem then? How do you like these pickups vs emg 81? Thanks again bro!

    • @GhostRiderGGG
      @GhostRiderGGG  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Damn the TH-cam LOLOL!!! I'm glad you finally found it nonetheless! I will preface my reply here by saying that I am really not qualified to speak like a professional or an engineer - that said, I have not noticed any squeal or noise regardless of what I'm plugging into. As to comparison versus 81, I do have more than a dozen guitars with 81 like the one I just made a video of, E-II M-II NT. 81 definitely comes with more headroom but at a small price of its somewhat dry sterile but suitable for certain application kind of output while I think the Seymour Duncan Jeff Loomis Blackouts on this guitar does have a slightly less headroom but a bit more versatile in different applications. Thank you for your time watching, super appreciate it!

    • @DanzoSrife
      @DanzoSrife 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@GhostRiderGGG Great! Don't worry if you're not an engineer. What makes you different is that you're not sponsored by anyone and that you have experience with at least 75 guitars! Now my other question is how different the Loomis pickups are compared to the EMG 57, if u dont mind another question! The reason I ask is because JL did switch from those when he got the signature set. I always wonder if he made them identical or different.The 81s are very mid heavy and sloped on the high end and bass to make it record tighter into the mix. I also have a graph of this for you to keep: imgur.com/ly3JCME
      I'm also curious if u changed out the battery when you first got your guitar? perhaps the battery from the factory is old and surely will be more compressed. speaking of, switched to the 24V battery (same size as 9v) and wow the difference it makes in the wav form graph u get a surely more headroom. Thanks again!

    They are Great guitars for the money, but they feedback really harshly. Jackson cheaped out on the claw and springs of the 1500 series Floyd, but once you use some string/spring dampeners and/or upgrade the claw, springs and maybe the block to tame the feedback, they really become what they should've been in the first place.

    If it’s Indonesian made, I’m not paying anything over 400 bucks for this guitar. At least when Jeff was with schecter, all their guitars were made at world music factory in South Korea which has excellent imports.
