One thing he did not say is...Use a "heat gun" or your ol lady's "hair dryer" might work too but anyways heat the connectors, after a bit and a little wiggle they will come right out!...y'all are welcome
Im doing a engine swap from a 4.8 (2004) to a 5.3 (2002) the 04 has one plug and the 02 has two plugs can i swap the NSS from one to the other and it work?
Is this the same for every neutral switch? I noticed on my Pontiac g6 it takes a lil bit longer than normal for it to start, like 3-4 seconds and sometimes it doesn't start on the first try.
I got very lucky and used no heat and they came out. No breakage. Thank god
Are all those wires JUST for sensing neutral/park?
Are they not also used for shifting gears and engaging the lockup solenoid of the TC?
great info on how to adjust the switch!!!
This helped me get my truck started! Thank you so much!!!
We are happy that this helped, you're welcome!

So, are you supposed to put silicone in there to seal connectors, every time new switches installed?
All you have do is heat the plugs up with heat gun or blow dryer and the connectors come out like butter

Where is the NSS on a 2004 Cadillac Deville? Is it inside the transmission? I don’t see it outside of it.
The NSS on the 4T65E Transmission is internal you will have to drop the pan to get to it. Thank you for choosing Monster Transmissions.
there is a tool to exactly adjust it. free with a gm replacement switch
Do you know if anyone makes a bracket to fit this type of switch to a 700R4?
We do not unfortunately
Dang I was lucky mine didn't break
Can a switch be swapped for one with a different plug
They both bolt on the same way however they each take different wire harnesses.
@@MonsterTransmission the one I have has the same harness but torque converter doesn’t line up any suggestions
@@everydaycar3518 It may be the wrong converter difficult to tell without seeing
It’s a 2005 trans we got it bolted in everything’s working
How do you tell if it was actually rebuilt
Use a lighter and heat the connector casings before pulling on the wires to loosen that glue n save yourself 50 bucks
