LIke they need to know her history extensively, and have a solid handle on weather & the elements. Loved this. Spot on breakdown. Weather can be the most impactful/disruptive aspect of our lives. It alone can interruptor devastate our entire livelihoods and homes, travel, education, and most of all, health. Thus, it always irks me when folks discount and downplay Storm. When people whine about ”power scaling- the only thing bigger in scale than our weather/climate/atmosphere is the cosmos… And Ororo can manipulate, control and weaponize that too; and has been doing so since the 70s! Amazing video! I’d also like to mention that, due to the fact that storm power is adaptive and not set in any specific type of weather system, so not limited to the ones on earth, she’s been able to essentially take on powers from more than what we consider the elements. A good example of this was in the Trion dimension were her powers bonded with the elements of that reality and it caused her to basically reality warp, heal space-time, and blink people out of existence!

Amazing!!! I wanna say something about her ability to manipulate and summon air pressure. In X-Men Red or one of em dealing with Mars They wrote Storm summoning air pressure to crush some robot aliens or something. She got a nose bleed, many thought it was because it was too much power exertion🤦🏽♂️ but most knew it was because she had to pull back all that weight and technically put it back before it destroyed the planet. Many haters choose to foget that Storm has to put back what she borrowed and put it back the same way she took it or it would cause devastation, which is why I was puzzled about the nosebleed. But my recent research taught me that, like the earth, weather changes on Jupiter and so does air pressure as well as its distance. So Storm must’ve borrowed from Jupiter when it’s orbit was further away. This means she has insane power levels because she had to pull it from great distances and “place” it back, properly, even when Jupiter had rotated and orbited in those few seconds. This also means that her powers works faster than the speed of light and that her body’s durability is far greater than Marvel want us to believe since her powers is “limited by her body and will” as haters like to say when they’re tryna downplay her power levels but they never thought about that part. Also fire doesn’t have to be present for her to created a burning tornado cause in that image she had summoned enough heat to cause a fire and nearly caused her teammates severe heatstroke when she was killing a living forest that was possessed by a virus or something like that. She can also create lazer beams from the sky “Overkill” lol
To your last point, that was a blast of heat that the artists made to look very much like fire lol. But you can tell it's not fire on the following pages. Lots of physical destruction but no smoke, nothing in the surrounding area on fire etc, no efforts from Storm or anyone else to extinguish anything etc... if it were actual fire, the whole forest would've burned down. So unless the artists forgot how fire works, I don't think that was fire lmao. And while Storm's actions were extreme, I think setting off a literal fireball in the middle of a forest would be wildly out of character for obvious reasons. That's not to say she couldn't cause fire through different means, though. Just clarifying the pages in question. I said "if fire is present" not to say she couldn't cause a fire to start, but more like "she's not the Human Torch throwing fireballs out from her hands", if that makes sense. I could've said that more clearly. Now if you know of instances of Storm doing THAT, please point me to them lol. I had to double check lol. X-Men (2013) #17 if you wanna read for yourself.

Definitely. IMO, 75%-80% of examples people use to say "omg they've made Storm way too OP lately" are just writers thinking outside the box when it comes to the application of her abilities. I'm pretty sure some weather concepts we discovered/developed in the past 2 decades alone didn't even exist in the mid 70s, or at least weren't well known yet.

Honestly it depends on the writer because sometimes people forget that this is a limit of hers lol. But to my knowledge, she still operates under those rules. Her respect for life and the natural balance is why she's always holding back. This video was more about the potential lethality of her abilities without any self imposed restrictions. Most of what I covered in this video would pretty much never happen outside very specific circumstances for this reason.
I think this was discussed with the current x-men titles and her last solo mini. It was said that she no longer manipulates the water/air molecules in nearby area but directly from the sea. Once she's done with the effect she created, she disperses back all those molecules to the ocean so there's no negative effect on her surrounding area. That's why she likes working with Sobunar (unlimited ocean), unlimited application of her powers without negative effects to the balance of the planet

I imagine her as a future political leader, won’t get it into that lol but I wonder if there’s a connection to one of the worlds greatest natural weather mysteries. What if we add one of storms superpowers to the situation I know it sounds crazy but I experienced some strange things, could global warming/climate change be solved by storm? Great Question! Short answer: it's a combination of writers either not knowing or choosing not to include those parts of herself, and Storm's own loose connection/access to said powers. Specifically regarding the godhead, as of now it's not something within her concious control. Godhead grants her temporary divinity but it's not something she can access at will. For decades it was treated as a footnote, only brought up regarding her family history, or interpreted figuratively (ie: She's godlike in her power level & presence but lacks true divinity). Or she'd have a godlike form that would only come out when she wasn't in control of mind or emotions (ie: her rage goddess form). The last decade & some change have shown a more concerted effort from different writers to suggest that she's actually divine. But even then, it's not consistent. The godhead power is the best example of this. It's a product of her time in Black Panther books, and outside of that hasn't been used much if at all. For a possible "in universe" answer as to why this is rarely seen, there's an argument to be made for Storm choosing to AVOID this kind of power unless it's absolutely necessary. I know at one point (can't think of the title right now) she was shown a vision of what she'd be like if she tapped into her full potential and she was essentially an elemental goddess (practically if not literally). But she rejected the form after being tempted. Now that doesn't mean she doesn't see herself as a goddess anyway lol. But when it comes to actual divine power, she usually only busts those out in the most extreme cases and with little to no concious choice in the matter. I kno of black panther issue 172 where she unlocked it and black panther said "Let today be the day gods again walk the land" and all tht but like u said..... outside of black panther books it was never talked about and she would always be called omega level and I always thought tht was weird cuz she is so much more than an omega and I always wondered if it was just a PIS type of thing where they did it for the story and then intentionally forgot about it or somethn cuz becoming a goddess isn't somethn anyone just forgets lol But then I always just figured she was still a goddess/mutant cuz like I said... in all these stories bout demi gods and humans finding out their blessed by gods, that power unlocks and it stays unlocked once they believe it for themselves and they go on there journey of discovery type of thing lol and plus all the examples of the things tht she is able to do with her powers that just isn't possible for weather to do a lot of times lol or the fact tht even Thor himself acknowledges that she is a god and not just that but is his equal and has said tht storm has better control over the elements than he does.... and also FYI she will be in the upcoming Avengers issue as a main and i read that they will be diving into her godhood power more since there is another God on the team and I'm guessing the writers think that now it won't be as forced?? I mean I guess that does make kinda sense lol I mean there's just example after example of her power level being beyond mutant level... omega or otherwise, and just being straight up godly, including admission from 2 actual gods themselves (adversary and Thor) and maybe even more that I don't kno about.
