Thank you so much for all the details on the Oslo hat. I just cast on today and I am looking forward to completing it within the next few days. You really have helped me especially with the turning part. ❤
Hello from Toronto. I measure my head by putting the measuring tape around the middle of the ears to the top of the head following the path that the hat will cover. It gives you a little larger size which is probably more accurate.
I was going to say in this video that I know PK is a fraught designer but I could never word it right so I left it out. My thoughts on PK patterns are complicated. As a plus sized knitter, some PK items are some of my most worn garments. I’d love to make a video on this at some point. But yes I totally know what you’re talking about. I wish that her sizing was more inclusive, and that her larger sizes were graded better!
You’re funny. I need to try this hat. The musselburgh hat is taking too long bc I’m using one strand of fingering weight yarn. Plus I’ve discovered I am one stitch short of one side, but luckily I’m still on DPNs so I can fix it. I will test the Oslo hat on a light colour bc working with black is hard for me to see well 😅

I’m so glad it was helpful for you!
She has a video on the turn in her instructions for the original Oslo hat👍

You are so welcome!
That hat is really cute on you. I'm going to make one for my granddaughters. Thanks for the info.

It matches your glasses SO WELL!!
Seriously!!
Really enjoyed this episode as I am a big PetiteKnits fan. I agree about the u=turning rows on the hats but I do love them anyway!
Love u!..just found your video..I'm getting my supplies together tonight for the hat...so excited....subbed
Yay! Thank you!
Hats really pretty! If only petite knits garment patterns were as size inclusive as this hat

Make simple stockinette fingerless gloves. You should have enough and the you can match.
Oooh good idea!
Could you just purl instead? Just wondering as the idea of turning makes me a bit nervous
Okay now my wheels are turning!
