  • Here we have Graham Blackledge demonstrating the Casio PX S3100 Digital Piano Black Portable Digital Piano and explaing why you need one!
The Casio pxs3100 digital piano is great for anyone looking for a value for money portable instrument, or simply a digital piano with a full 88 note weighted key keyboard. With 700 sounds, 200 rhythms with accompaniments, the ability to layer & split the keyboard, this keyboard offers some great features making it more than just a digital piano. With additional features like Bluetooth audio & MIDI, real-time knobs & pitch bend, 96 registration memories to store your favourite settings including 'effects', you have a great 88 weighted key controller keyboard too! The keyboard action is nice and responsive with a nice texture, to stop you slipping on the keys. All the sounds are great quality and it appeals to beginners and professional musicians too. I think this is excellent value for money.

I just bought this piano today after I fell in love with it in a music store. I immediately loved the sound of it of all those voices and I loved how the keys felt during playing. I will report whether my enthusiasm will continue. At the moment I think I found my dream piano.

@@throughtheturnstiles196 Good choice. Remember to cover the piano when not in use to prevent dust from accumulating that could affect the circuitry in the long run.

Nice review. Great sounds and rhythms. I am a bit concerned about the action as highlighted in another review. According to that review the action seems to be deficient as compared to the Roland fp30x. How do you find the action and do you think it is a major issue if one plans to use this instrument for performing as well as teaching? I would like to hear your views. Thank you.

    Hello,
thank you for this demonstration and review. Quite helpful to finally decide which piano suits my need.
Just have a quick question. Does the arranger section support custom arrangements? I mean in a case I want to create custom styles for accompaniment.
    Thanks

Hi nice post thank you. The keyboard shook while u played did it seem unstable.? These new portable lightweight boards are great for carrying but maybe not so stable on typical X brace stand
    Cheers

A double x stand would be better or one with 4 legs pr Z stand - Here is a link to some for you www.rimmersmusic.co.uk/accessories-c34/keyboard-piano-c36/stands-c38 for example. Kindest regards Graham

What was your impression concerning the weight difference between black and white keys? (if there was any - the issue that PianoForever has been hammering on in multiple videos)
But great performance anyways - so seems that the keys do not hamper great play! 🙂

Dude is a clown and a big snob. He has a personal issue with Casio and the way they communicated with him, so he took it out on the board. He can't be trusted.

It's nice that you live in a huge house with no neighbours plenty of room for your grand piano that costs at least 4 to 600 pounds a year to have it permanently tuned to perfection every time the temperature changes . Good for you but most people theese days don't have room or can't afford to keep a proper piano so I think get off your horse and play your grand .leave those who have to have an electric keyboard alone
