I just love your channel so much, helps me keep my VW 1.8 Passat maintenance up. I appreciate you!🥰
Super nice to hear that. Thank you for the great compliment 💯😎. I try to be real with real examples. Thanks so much i appreciate it 💯
It was a pleasure having you here! Hope to see you again soon!
awesome experience for sure thank you
Wow, really neat overall! Love how the oil bottle is. Great tutorial!
Thanks man!!! It was a good day
Great learning video. Never knew there was so much to an oil change. Will research the correct LIQUI-MOLY for my 2015 R59 Mini Roadster....
Yes and we can do a video
You should have shown me the image before and after
Ohhhh? Good suggestion. Thank you
Great video. Question, do you fill the oil to 5.8 qts and then add the additive?
I usually add a little less oil in the amount of the additive but it won’t hurt to add it all.
Where do you buy the drain plugs? Or at least the washer? Do you have a part #? Thx
This is where I got mine. amzn.to/3y8gEal
Any update on the reliability after this treatment ?
It’s been great. The additive really helps and I’ve done 3 oil changes since the video. Oil is always clean. I don’t suggest doing the engine flush every time. Only on occasion if you notice buildup or dirty oil. But I always use an additive. It helps with wear and friction. Thanks for watching I appreciate it 👍🏼😎💯
@@grind-it-outgot u is there any signs of oil consumption ? I was looking into getting a 2017 Passat rline
Yes these engines are know for oil consumption especially after about 80k. My engine has no leaks but it consumes about a quart of oil between each oil change 5000 miles. That’s good compared to some stories I’ve heard
How long do you go between oil changes with the liqui moly?
I personally change my oil every 5000 miles. It’s whatever your car recommends. I think 7500 miles people are changing oil some 10000. I’m always 5000 because I like clean oil.
❤❤❤❤
👍🏼
Thanks guys
thanks! doing next week an oil change on my skoda octavia 3 with the same engine, a 1.8 tsi 180 horses in europe, also with liqui moly, top tec 4200, hope it will be good.
That’s great. I’d also recommend using the additive. That makes the engine quiet and smooth. I have had a lot of good experience with it. Thank you for watching the video. I appreciate it 😊
@@grind-it-out regarding the additive, i am not sure. this test shows it doesn't do anything: th-cam.com/video/-6nD9aqLkzQ/w-d-xo.html
besides that I read that it will affect seals, so I wouldn't want to risk that, given the engine manufacturer doesn't recommend using any oil additive.
It seems to work for me.
@@grind-it-out Not saying it doesn't work, but quantifying if it does something or not is impossible without testing equipment. You can say you hear something different to the engine, but that could also be because of the new oil, so that is that. The guy in my video tests the oil with and without additive and there is no difference in how much the metal bar is shaved by the bearing. Anyways, no problem.
Thanks for sharing that info. I appreciate the feedback. I just feel it’s just an extra layer of protection. I made friends with a couple guys that work for Liqui moly. They told me it works. I just took their word for it 🤣🤣. But I trust them. They also have the Ceratec additive which is more expensive but I will maybe try that next oil change. Thanks again for sharing. Good to have you watching my videos. 😊
Anyone tested liqui moly Mos2 oil on golf 5/6 fsi thanks
I don’t know but it’s made for most cars. I put it in every car I own. Liqui Moly website can definitely help you. I just like the products and has always kept my engines running smooth. Thanks for watching
Do you have any oil consumption issue with your tsi ??
Not yet. So far it holds the oil well. I think the additive helps.
@@grind-it-out how many kilometers ? And what year is your car ??
2016. 78,000 miles / 125528 kilometers.
Burns zero noticiable oil. Do an engine flush before the oil change then add the additive after. That should help
@@grind-it-out you are lucky 2016 engines don't have a faulty oil scrapper design so you won't have any issues cars from 2008 to 2014 with tsi engines have big oil consumption issues mine is 2011 from 2015 onwards the cars have updated piston and scrapper rings with updated con rods and piston......even tough mine burns oil within the spec I will use the oil flush and additives this time again when I ll do the oil change now.....I did it last service but I had a leaky valve cover and cam covers so even that contributed to low oil....will update you in 5000miles 😅 thanks mate 👍
