Again, I am looking for constructive advice. I know I'm terrible and slow etc etc. If I want to be told that, I'll talk to one of my favourite viewers.

Exactly. Great podcast by the way. Well worth a listen. Maybe a sub too.

Always good to see people giving it a try for the first time. I would advice turning off the driving line assist though as it obscures the "natural" braking marks you'll see on the track. Looking for darker rubbered in patches before corners will give a good indication of what the optimal line on a track is. But your doing OK, at least you're not just trying to gun it like I did when I first started out. 👍

Thanks dude. Yep I switched off the driving line today and to be honest, it does make it easier. I'm enjoying it, hard to do but a lot of fun learning.

Huh. You said you need advice.
    1. Forget about ferrari and nurburg
    2. Pick something much easier for the start. Maybe an abarth, and go to silverstone international or something simple like that
    3. Learn basics on yt tutorials such as car balanse, braking bias, traction, ideal lines, saving, etc.
    4. Progress slowly toward more powerful cars. Very slowly. Once you have lets say 1:17 and regular 1:18 on silv inter with abarth then get stronger car with rear drive such as nissan, or some low power BMW. Once you get 1:20 with nissan, try some medium powered BMW, once you get good time with this, try gt3 rs cup. Once you get to 1:05 with this then you get back to abarth and try harder track.
    5. Lose racing lines as soon as you have managed to prevent car from constant spins
    6. Repeat this process for 3-6 months until you can confidently drive trough corners
    7. Always drive without traction control if you want to make true progress.
After 6 months get back on the nurburg in ferrari and you will see real progres 😊

Thank you so much!!! This is what I need. I really appreciate you taking the time out to comment. This is awesome. I've seen a couple of videos where people have said to get rid of TC. I'll get on it tomorrow and go back to basics. Learning to walk before I run.
      Thank you again.

@@just-another-guy oh forgot(rear powered car or supercars still need some TC like 20% just because 0% is not realistic, its more for drift sessions)

I started on Silv with the Fiat and was doing 1:24, shut off the TC and got it down to solid 1:20s, will hit it again tomorrow and work out the cornering and braking a bit better as that seems to be where I'm losing time. I'm just struggling to trust the car you know? It's a me thing, almost like a mental block. I'll break through it though. I think that after a week of doing to same course with the same car, I'll figure it out.
      Thanks again for you help.
Oh and I did switch off the racing line.
