The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a Central Sector Scheme of Government of India, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports. It provides opportunity to the student youth in University, College and schools to take part in various government led community service activities & programmes.
The Nss awards are presented every year by the Mininstry of youth affairs and sports, Govt.of India for the meritorious nss volunteers, program officers and Programme Coordinator.
The award guidelines are illustrated in this video for educational and awareness purpose only for the benefits of nss functionaries in India.

Sir, i have a question on National Service Scheme. Is there any governmental job opportunity/relaxation/reservation for having NSS "C" certificate as like NCC"C" certificate? If not then why here is discrimination? I think NSS certificate holders should also be given such previledge. Please clear my dought.
