I was so happy I didn't mess up the solos that I went right home and edited this on Windows 11's default editing software to upload this as fast as I could. I won't use it again it really sucks.

How long have you been playing for your really good? Ive been playing for about 3 years I currently have a solo on baba yetu thats how I found you but it sucks im the only euphonium player.
I've been playing brass instruments since 6th grade, so about 2014 or so? I was the only euphonium player for almost the whole time in middle and high school. It's nice because you can mess up your part and it doesnt sound as wrong.
@@Bennim Im struggling with the really extremely high notes and im wondering since your more advanced how to play them easier because I am playing Gymnopedie no 1 for a solo ensmble and its just tough to get those high notes.
I'm not really the best person to ask about this, all I can say there is that practice makes perfect. Even at my level I sometimes struggle to hit the high G above the staff, that's why I was so happy I did it in the second Host solo.
@@GoatifyGames hey don't know if you're still looking for advice but the best thing you can do to build range on brass is practicing more in that upper register. I like to do slurs from the more comfortable places like tuning Bb and working your way up. Ascending scales help a lot too, but the main thing is practice. Consistent practice every day (not even focusing on range, just everyday practice) will get you really far. Visualizing the notes you wanna play as right in front of you instead of above can make the effort a bit easier. Good luck on your journey!
